Saturday in Corpus

It was a fun filled Saturday here in Corpus for us. Emma spent the morning with her daddy so I could go to a bow making class. You can see my master pieces in the picture below. They are not great but they will do. I hope to be able to make my nieces a valentine's bow by the end of the weekend....we shall see.

I also took Emma to the beach this afternoon. It was overcast here and a bit cold but I wanted to get a picture of her in her Valentine's Day dress. She LOVED being on the beach. As soon as I snagged a bunch of pictures, we bundled Emma back up in her sweats and I took a jog on the boardwalk. I hope to be able to go back again soon when the weather is a little warmer and jog with Emma. She was so happy being close to the beach, that she did not complain at all about being in the stroller. Stroller Strides offers a class on the boardwalk on Mondays, so hopefully we can go to that class sometime soon.

We played out back for bit this afternoon (Emma was with a babysitter almost all day) She was practicing her lunges all over the backyard.... so funny!

Here is Emma driving her car and talking on the phone to Nan and Pappa tonight. She cracks me up with her purse in the back of her car.

I finally got a video of Emma immitating me at Stroller Strides. She is so funny when we go, she wants to do everything that I do. She was even doing sit ups on Tuesday after class.

A wonderful 30th in The Woodlands

The weekend started out with a day off for me on Friday! WOOHOO. As soon as we arrived in The Woodlands, I took off to visit some friends at Lamar. Emma was dying to see BB so it wasn't too hard to drag her around the school with BB being the reward at the end of our visit. We then headed to Nan's office. After I convinced her boss to let her leave early for a margarita with her daughter, we headed to Alamo Joe's for Happy Hour with the Lamar teachers. We then took off to The Gratlands for a great family dinner.

Saturday morning we went with Nan to see Chandler's basketball game. He was too cute running up and down the court but didn't want anything to do with the ball. :) Emma was all about the hugs with her cousin Collyn. She just LOVES her! She also managed a hug with Kyle as well. Although it looks like she is squeezing her to death!

More HUGS!

Then Saturday night Ryan had a wonderful evening planned! We headed off to Pappasitos for my "surprise" party, which I pretty much knew everything about. It was really fun celebrating with all my friends and family at my FAVORITE restaurant. Gosh I just can't get enough of their food. So Yummy!
This was my surprise gift from my 4 wonderful parents! I have been wanting a jogging stroller but did not want to buy a single one since we plan to have more children. Of course I had some explaining to do about a double stroller in the room. Hopefully Ryan and I will have another one on board soon. :)

Emma and t'Barrett had a ball playing in my new stroller!

So this is what is will be like some day!

Emma is so excited, she can have baby sit next to her in the stroller. She has to have baby every time we go to Stroller Strides now or for a walk!

Thank you family for the best birthday a 30 year old could ask for. I had such a great weekend!! I am so incredibly blessed to have you all in my life!

Thank you Ryan for all of your planning to make my birthday so special. I could not have asked for anything else. I love you!

Thank you mom for passing Gammy's ring on to me. I just love this ring and I think of Gammy every time I look down and see it.

I am excited for the next 30 years! I know they are going to be so much fun!

A whole lotta love in the air!

Here are few pictures from our visit to the park a few weeks ago. Emma is absolutely obsessed with the swing. Every morning she asks to go to school, when I tell her that it is not a school days she asks to go on the swing. So, everyday it is either a school day or a swing day around here.

Here she is playing with Daddy at the park

She LOVES to go really high!

We also decorated for Valentine's Day! As you can see from the pictures below, the candy bowl decoration did not last very long on the table. It had to be moved so someone would not sneek candy out of it all day.

Here is a video of my dancin girl! She LOVES to have the music turned up and to dance around the house. It is too funny. Guess she is going to have the same dancing gene as me. I can't wait for all the performances to come!

One Busy week!

We had a pretty busy week here. Emma was back into her routine in full swing. She had school on Tuesday and Thursday, which she absolutely LOVES. Then she had her last day of Kindermusik on Wednesday. I had to be in meetings all day so Daddy was able to take her for her last day. They had cupcakes and the other moms even gave Ryan a hard time about showing "crack" while he was on the floor....HILARIOUS!!!
Then we were back to our normal bowling night last night... I must say the break was not good for my bowling average. Ryan and I both did really bad until the last game. We ended up losing but had a lot of fun!
I am having a bit of a hard time this week dealing with the fact that I am almost 30. I am really not that scared about turning 30 but the sound of it is just a bit overwhelming. Not to mention all the gray hair I have noticed and the fact that I want to have more children and I am not pregnant. It just seems so strange that when we go out people call us sir and ma'am. UMMM I don't feel that old. I even had a college student ask me to buy them beer at the gas station not that long ago. That made me feel officially old since I still get carded!! Anyway, I know that it is not that big of a deal, just a number right?? Somehow it still seems like a BIG one!
I have lots planned over the next few weeks to keep me busy and keep me from sulking about the big 3-0. I am attending several Mommy only events with my moms group and stroller strides. I am super excited about a hair bow class I get to go to in a few weeks. NO more buying bows that cost way too much!! I hope to be an expert soon!
We headed to the park on Wednesday for a little bit. Emma, of course, pushed baby in her stroller the entire way there. She even wanted baby to go down the slide with her and screeched a "weeeee" all the way down...too cute! This afternoon as I was working away on my computer I looked down to see her with a naked baby. She was wiping the babies bottom and putting (oh no!) baby powder on her. Luckily for me I caught it before she was able to open the lid. She had the Boudreaux's butt paste next to her as well. I can't even figure out how she got them out of her drawer in her bedroom. Guess it is time for a lock on her bedroom door.

Super girl!
We are looking forward to a three day weekend! Woo hoo.

Saturday in San Antonio

My friend Shawn, had a 30th B-day bash in San Antonio. I ended up taking Emma to the San Antonio Zoo on Saturday afternoon before the party. We met up with my parents who were on the boat for the weekend. We had such a great time. This zoo is absolutely beautiful, I plan to visit there a lot in the future. Emma LOVED it and had a smile on her face the entire time.
Black Bear Snoozing...or "night night" as Emma says!

One of Emma's favorites...the monkeys!

Look Nan and Papa!

Kangaroo...look at the baby in her pouch! So cool!

WEEEEE!!!

Papa bought Emma a monkey! She has been sleeping with it and carrying it around everywhere. The monkey even had to put on a diaper today.

Emma had to show her monkey all of the animals she was looking at. It was so cute watching her hold him up to see. She cracks me up!
Here is my little monkey climbing a wall
Cheetah
Porcupine (I don't think I have ever seen one this big)
We were able to brush the goats in the petting zoo.

Emma with her Nan and Papa.. she had such a great day!!! Thanks again for a great weekend! We had a blast

On Saturday night I headed out to Shawn's party and left Emma with Nan and Papa. Of course my camera battery died after one picture....sorry Devon! Here is a picture of the Birthday boy and another friend from high school, Cody.
