Merry Christmas 2010

We had a quiet Christmas here in Corpus this year. It was my first year not to be surrounded by lots of family. It felt strange but it was also nice to have a lazy day and actually get a nap in.

Here is Emma before Christmas Eve service. Our church is across the street from the bay so we were able to catch a beautiful background! :)

(she insisted that her hair be straightened just like Mommy's!)

Silent Night- Emma thought the candles were really neat!
After church we came home to make cookies for Santa. This year we made gingerbread cookies. They were very yummy! Santa liked them too!
Christmas morning.... I was able to snap a picture before Emma woke up. She didn't get up until 8:30!
Ryan and Bella
Someone was a very good girl this year...
"I need my beauty sleep" pjs. Very fitting!

Bella wasn't too sure what to think about the craziness

We spent sometime in the afternoon blowing bubbles and riding her bike.

Here is a short video of our day. Next year I will have to be better with the videos.

Fun in December

December has flown by! I can't believe today is Christmas Eve. With the hot temperatures outside, it sure doesn't feel like tomorrow is Christmas. Here is an update on what we have been up to this month.

I took Emma and her friend Ethan to Breakfast with Santa at her school. Emma only sat on Santa's lap because Ethan ran and jumped right up there! So cute! Everyone thought that they were siblings.
We had pancakes and made crafts. Here they are making a candy cane ornament!
My sweet friends Allison and Emily gave me a baby shower. It was so much fun to go out to eat with friends and celebrate RyanPaul.

My cake is adorable! It goes with the theme in his room.

Love this pic!
We even made it out to the Creative Arts center to paint an ornament! Emma loved doing this. I am sure we will be back to paint something bigger and more exciting soon.
Best Buddies!
Here is a picture of our beautiful tree. We picked a great one this year!
We had an early Christmas with Nan and Papa! We had Christmas in the morning and no one but Emma wanted to have their picture taken, ha!

Cooking Shrimp Fettuccine with Nan!
Thankfully, my parents, Ryan and my Mother In Law came this week to help get RP's nursery ready. After several coats of paint on the wall and lots of arguing over the color, it is done! It came out perfect and I am so grateful for my Mother In Law and her decorating skills. I could have never make it this cute! I can't wait for him to see his room!
It was great to have Nana here this week. We were able to have an early Christmas celebration with her too!

Yesterday, we braved the mall and waited an hour to see Santa.
This is the first year, she actually sat on Santa's lap and smiled! I love the picture.
I also have a few videos to share.
Here is Emma in her last soccer game. She had two great plays but unfortunately missed the goal. SOOO close!

We have been practicing writing our name
Here is a short video of my ultrasound a few weeks ago. I took it for Ryan, since he was out of town, but thought the grandparents might like to see it too! :)

Friends, Soccer and School Christmas Program

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Sweet Emma in one of her many Christmas outfits.

We spent an afternoon riding bikes with friends and sharing snacks :)
Here are Emma and some of her besties after Stroller Strides Class last week. She was the instructor telling them all what to do. :)
We have finally been able to play in two soccer games after getting our cast off. She is pretty timid on the field but loves to run behind who ever has the ball...
We had our end of the season soccer party this week. Emma was VERY excited to get a trophy.

The cake was yummy too!
We also got to play a few games after eating and getting our trophies. Emma is a pretty good bowler!
