Happy Easter!

He is risen! We enjoyed a really nice Easter today. Madelyn sang in the children's choir at church this weekend. We actually went to service last night with my parents and then today I volunteered with the choir and Jason worked parking for the very busy services today. We came home, rested, and then went to my grandparents for Easter dinner. Enjoy all our pictures from our fun Easter week. A few more of the girls will be coming.

Easter Egg Hunt Photo's Below - It was FREEZING!!! The girls still had fun. Our church hides eggs without candy and gives the kids a little gift bag of Easter items from Oriental trading. This is great for us because we don't have to worry about food allergies! What a blessing.

Swimming Lessons

The girls are taking swimming lessons at the Y this month. Madelyn has taken them several times before, but does not like to get her face wet so she is still in the beginner class. This is Caroline's first time since she just turned three. They are doing a great job and really enjoy being in the same class! Getting ready to practice the side stroke
Madelyn swimming with her teacher
Caroline swimming with her teacher
Caroline learning water safety - how to pull a person into the side who cannot swim. I'm hoping we can continue our lessons through May and then the outdoor pool will be open! I cannot wait to hang out at the pool this summer.

Spring Has Arrived!

As the saying goes in KY, if you don't like the weather, wait until tomorrow! The weather here changes so quickly. Saturday we had 5 inches of snow, today it was in the upper 60's and beautiful! We enjoyed a fun picnic at the park. Enjoy the pictures of our spring day. : )

Snow!

Well, we finally got some snow in the Bluegrass! After being in the mid 60's on Thursday, a big snow storm moved in. We got about 5 inches! The girls loved it! We went sledding at our church with our Life Group. This is a group of 5 couples who we get together with all the time. We missed you Matt, Emily & Allison. Right when we started getting really cold, Brad and Lennie arrived with hot chocolate. It was a really fun morning.

I was supposed to work on Saturday, but due to the snow I did not have to go it because we were not going to be busy - yeah! We enjoyed spending the day together. Jason and I worked more on Caroline's new room. We are currently scrubbing the walls - there is so much wallpaper paste on them. We have one more to go and then we need to paint every surface. It is the last room in the house that we have not painted. It's hard to believe we have been in our house 4 years this month! It is still a work in progress and probably always will be. :)

I'm going to be an aunt again! My sister Alyssa is expecting baby #3. She is due in September and we are excited! My parents will have had 6 grandchildren in 5 years! I'm crossing my fingers for a girl this time Alyssa.
