Last day of school!!!

Yesterday (June 5th) was the last day of school for the boys.  We started the morning off with a trip by the do-nut shop, more on that later.  I thought a yummy treat for breakfast would guarantee some cute pictures at school but Garrett woke up on the wrong side of the bed and was not in the picture taking mood at all (you will see very shortly what I mean).  And as usual, I like to have some comparison pictures thrown in there for good fun.

Me:  Hey boys stand on that white line and let me take a picture of you with your school behind you.  (you can see which one participated and which one did not!)

Me:  Garrett get in the picture with your brother and smile for me.  Last day of school yay!!!  (God bless my little Wy for taking such great pictures today!)

So since that didn't prove successful we marched inside to take a few more pictures!  This one is from the first day of Pre-K back in the fall : )
1st day of Pre-K

And we just happened to catch Ms. Teresa in the hallway so we were lucky to get a picture with her.  I LOVE Ms. Teresa and we sure are going to miss her.  She sure has set the bar high for Wyatt's future teachers.  As I was talking to her she started tearing up talking about missing the kids and of course I started tearing up because she was - vicious cycle!!
Ms. Teresa & Wyatt last day of Pre-K

And a first day of school picture for Garrett.  He started the year off in the Frogs class (hence the blue frog t-shirt below) but quickly moved up to the Redbird class after about a month.  Ms. Bobbie and Ms. Brittany have been wonderful and G is going to miss them dearly next year.  He thinks Ms. Bobbie will be his teacher next yea - poor guy will be so disappointed in the fall.
1st day of school Fall 2013

And here is G on the last day of school - totally didn't realize he wore blue on both days and I am very happy I chose a different blue shirt instead of the frog shirt again.  That would have been embarrassing!!

Garrett did NOT want Wyatt in his picture at all!  Arm shove and all : )

Wyatt starts off every morning in the gym for breakfast.  Speaking of breakfast, on our special treat do-nut mornings both boys get a sausage and cheese kolache.  Wyatt then gets 6 do-nut holes and G gets a do-nut.  Depends on his mood, might be a cherry with sprinkles, strawberry with or without sprinkles and he even ventures into the white donuts, both with and without sprinkles.  This morning we got while with sprinkles!  The order changes right up to the last minute - you just never know!

Garrett always eats breakfast in the Bluebird room with Ms. Gracie.  He always sits in the same seat at the end of the table and his teachers tell us that he eats all day long while at school!

Yay for summer!!!!

Memorial Day in the Culde

Sunday May 25th - so not actually Memorial day but close enough!  After church and lunch and "rest
time, we all gathered at the Nors house for our what seems like annual Memorial day cook out.  Chris did a brisket and we all brought some sides, kids played in the water while the parents and neighbors visited and tried to keep an eye on the children - that is a hard enough job in itself!

I only took a few pictures - this first one just cracked me up because Wyatt was trying to figure out how to work the chair!!

At one point I turned to April and said, ok get your phone, let's do pictures!  And I think we did a good job with these 5 busy bodies!
Wy, G, Jane, Payton & Luke
Garrett is in a really fun stage of not looking at the camera.  And Sweet Payton is saying "cheese" in all the pictures.

This is better of G!

Payton's Crawfish Birthday Party

Saturday May 17th - another birthday party!!  This time Payton's 2nd birthday party!  And the boys got to wear their swimsuits - very fun for my WILD kids.

The birthday princess in her adorable swimsuit.

The girls of the Culde!  Thank goodness they have each other.

Wyatt was all over the crawfish - big time playing with them.  Garrett ate a good amount also because he likes "hot stupps"!

Clayton driving Jack and Luke.

More crawfish playing - Wyatt, Cade, Hailey and Mason.

Singing Happy Birthday to sweet Payton - brother Porter got in on it also!

Clayton now driving Cole and Mason - love G in the background and look at the girls all holding hands.  Boys vs. girls - what a difference in how they play!

Payton and her bff Jane!

What??????????  I mean seriously?!

Blake's birthday party

Saturday May 17th

We helped Blake celebrate his 4th birthday at a wonderful park in Willis.  We haven't been to this park in a while so it was really fun as things were kind of "new".

Of course we got to hit on the pinata!!  So fun!

Blake was hitting it hard!  He has a great little swing, we need to recruit him for T-ball!

Singing happy birthday - he has such a sweet little smile!

Hoffarts with the birthday boy.

All holding up their age!  So cute : )

Pre-K Graduation

Friday May 16th

Wyatt and Garrett have attended Grace School for 2 years now and we absolutely love it.  I just can't say enough nice things about this school.  It has truly been a huge blessing for the boys and for Jacob and myself.  Wyatt graduated from Pre-K on May 16th.  I absolutely love his teachers this year - Ms. Teresa and Ms. Lori - they have been the absolute best and I can't wait for Garrett to be in Ms. Teresa's class!!  Wyatt has grown tremendously this year.  We had some very rough patches with behavior but since January, he was really turned it around and been extremely good in class.  Since I am a sappy person, graduation had me in tears - duh!!  I mean, hello, they walked in to the graduation song!  Talk about pulling at my heart!!!

G sat with us through graduation.......that sure was interesting!
Wy's class walked in and stood in the front.  They recited Jeremiah 29:11 and Ms. Joleen, the director of the school, talked a little bit about the school and the Pre-K program.  Sorry about catching you mid-yawn Wyatt!

Ms. Teresa and Ms. Lori called each student up one at a time and shared a word for each student.  This word was something that described each student and then Ms. Teresa would explain why she chose that word and tell a little story.  Wyatt's word was "director"!  Interesting!!!  It's not a surprise to us that he directs all the other students in class because he does the exact same thing at home - wonder where he gets that from Jacob?!

Each student was presented with a study Bible and I can proudly say we read it every night by Wyatt's request!!!

After each student was called up, they all sang a verse of "Lord prepare me to be a santuary", "God is so good" and then "Jesus loves me" - again, more tears!!

Next door in the reception hall, we were able to have some cake and punch and pick up Wyatt's certificate for completing Pre-K.

He is very proud of his Bible if you can't tell.  Sadly the knucklehead in red tore a page in the truck when we left.

Little brothers - they just can't seem to keep it together!

And off to kindergarten we go!!!!!!!!!!  Yikes!!!!

Fun visit with the Pointers

I can't remember when this visit occurred, it was between May 3rd and May 16th - which I know doesn't narrow it down too much.  This is why I need to be better with my blogging.  Ugh!  Well anyway, Ashley and all 3 boys stopped by for a visit across the street and we were so excited to go over and play with them for a few hours.  We all miss Ashley dearly and seeing these handsome boys on a regular basis, but thank goodness for Instagram, right Ash?!

This is baby Sam, who just turned 1 on May 22nd - he has the most gorgeous blue eyes and is so happy!

This pictures almost made me cry!  These guys are all within 9 weeks of each other.  Caleb is 3 weeks older than Wyatt and then Wyatt is 6 weeks older than Owen.  Ash, Les and I were all pregnant together and we use to call these guys the C.O.W boys!  They are just growing up way too fast.

Here they are just a few months old - Caleb, Wyatt and Owen.

Here they are again a little over a year old - Owen, Wyatt and Caleb.

And now 5 years old!  Crazy!!

Jack Jack!!

So in all we had 8 little boys playing together!!!  It was really way too much fun.

We miss you Ash and need you to come back soon!!!

Erin's Mesina Hof Birthday

Saturday May 3rd - Erin's Birthday!

We celebrated Erin's birthday with a wine tasting at Mesina Hof.  It was fun and the wine was yummy!  Wish we could do this more often!!
