Antique Rose Emporium

Erin took her bridal portraits Tuesday evening at the Antique Rose Emporium in Independence, Texas. If you ever need to take pictures or have pictures taken, I would highly recommend taking them here - it is absolutely gorgeous and there are so many neat options and backgrounds for pictures. It is taking everything I have not to post pictures of the bride-to-be in her dress - she looked absolutely gorgeous!! April and I drove over from my parents house for Erin's bridal portraits and Wyatt slept the entire way and slept almost the entire time we were there - he is such a good baby : ) I wanted to get a picture of Wy and Erin in her dress but the poor little guy was just so tired!
The Bride and her Matrons of Honor : ) You can't really tell but she is holding a little fan in her hand - it may have been just a tad warm!

Emily & Katie in our matching green shirts - aren't we cute?!

This is what the little guy did during the photo shoot.......he was just too cozy in Mrs. Braden's arms!

This was after Erin was done taking pictures and the little guy was still so tired he had to sleep a bit on his Aunt Apee's shoulder. Watching Erin take pictures is hard work for the boy!

Bride-to-be and her M.O.H.s : )

Bride-to-be and the M.O.B. - I love that acronym : )

Then the little guy woke up and wanted to take some pictures also.......there are his eyes!

Now we are awake.......he looks like his daddy in this picture.

I passed on my pregnancy books to Kate because there MIGHT be a little bun in the oven!!!

Wy and his mommy - we like to dress in green stripes when we can!

Happy, happy boy.......he was doing the big smiles at Erin and Kate - he loves to flirt : )

I had a lot of fun at Erin's bridal shoot and it really got me excited about her upcoming wedding! Woo-hoo August 7th - it's going to be a great day! Thanks E for letting us come along and be a part of this experience!

Pool party!!!

My parents' neighbors are out of town for the week and told us to use their pool at our leisure. Twist our arms!! So obviously Wyatt needed to have a pool party! He did much better swimming this time around and seemed to really enjoy it. We are signing up for swim lessons next month : )

This swimming business is hard work - nap #1 - the boy sure does nap well outside in his bouncy chair!

Awake from nap #1 and ready for more swimming.
Papa Sam dunked the little boy under water - he may not look as if he enjoyed it but I think he did : )

Wyatt and his Papa Sam - swimming buddies!

Nap #2 at the pool!! Enjoying the breeze under the umbrella - how could you not nap?!

What a day!! Lots of fun in the sun and some good swimming. Nap #3 with Sadie Mae : )

Wyatt loves his Daddy

Happy 1st Father's Day!! Wyatt is one lucky little boy to have you as his daddy, Jacob. This little man is going to grow up wanting to be just like you and I pray that he does. You are not only the most amazing husband, but you are also an amazing father to our precious son!
We love you soooooooooo much!!!

Happy 1st Anniversary

Saturday, June 20th, Jacob and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary! This past year has been the best year of my life - from marrying the man of my dreams to welcoming our precious son into this world. My long standing prayer of marrying my soul mate was answered on June 20th, 2008 and I am forever thankful and grateful for my wonderful husband. Jacob, I love you dearly and look forward to spending the rest of my life with you!

So celebrating your first anniversary with a newborn is a bit of a challenge but we managed to have a wonderful evening. My sister came into town to keep Wyatt while Jacob and I enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Jaspers. We then popped open a bottle of champagne from our wedding, stomached a small amount of our wedding cake that had been frozen, and snuggled up to watch our wedding video. Awwwwwwwwww isn't that so sweet?!

I love this picture because Wyatt was just staring at Jacob with his mouth open - he couldn't take his eyes off of him!

Eating of the wedding cake - June 20, 2008

Allegedly I did a little finger wag at Jacob before we fed each other our wedding cake telling him not to smush (smoosh?) it on my face. I don't remember doing it but apparently it is on video. This is right before or after the finger wag.......

Bringing back the finger wag......

Guess what? Year old wedding cake is not that good so guess who helped us out?!

What an amazing year! May we be blessed with many more years of marital bliss and fireworks to last us a lifetime!

Wyatt's new trick

For the past week or so Wyatt has been doing some serious turning in his crib at night. For example, I put him down one night like so........

And when he woke up for his morning feeding, he had turned himself and was talking to his letters on the wall!

It cracks me up how much he turns. Each time I go to check on him or get him up he is facing a totally different direction. And the math teacher in me is very proud of my geometric son because he turns in increments of 90 degrees! I am just amazed at how stinkin' smart he is : )
Random picture but I thought it was cute. Max got himself all snuggled up to Wyatt and then Wyatt got a hold of Max's ear and that was the end of the snuggle session.

The All-Star

Hayden made the T-ball All-star team this year so of course we had to make the trip down to P-land to watch him play. Talk about one intense t-ball game.........Hayden's team won 21-20 in the bottom of the 6th and one kid on Hayden's team hit a grand slam over the fence! Yes, T-BALL : )

Wyatt was a little sleepy at the beginning of the game. He surprisingly slept through a lot of cheering in the stands.

Then he woke up and was very happy - cheering on his cousin!

The All-star's little sister cheering on her "bubba".

Practice swings are always a must.

Wyatt and his aunt Apee.

Cousins!! All smiles after the 21-20 victory : ) Good job H-man!

When Jacob has the camera..........

We were pretty much lazy Hoffarts this past Monday and it was so nice! Wyatt loves hanging out with his puppies and they love giving him kisses galore!!

Poor Max doesn't uunderstand the difference between his toys and Wyatt's toys!
