Guess who?!?!

April here. I'm home sick and thought I'd post some pictures (and maybe a video) I have on my camera from my visit Monday evening in The Woodlands. Also, as we've all noticed, Emily has been slacking in the blogging department :) Wyatt was way cute and full of smiles, as always. He's talking more and has the cutest little voice. He was wearing a sweet A&M outfit that he got back in June at his Sip 'n See. He's really working on his balance when sitting up and has a new trick! I have a video of it so I'll try to post it...we'll see how that goes.

How does he know to look and smile at a camera??? It's like he's had his picture taken a time or two. There wasn't even anyone calling for his attention or making goofy noises. This was just a classic self-portrait and he knows to look at the camera and smile...even while chewing on a couple of fingers!
He was sooooo tired while trying to eat his peas. He would take a bite, then the thumb (the left one to be exact!) would go straight in the mouth. He was doing some weird grunting noises and then his eyes would get very heavy and almost close. I called his name and he managed a tired smile.
Wyatt's old man pose - hands behind his head (they were completely behind his head but I didn't have my camera out and on fast enough) and legs crossed at the ankles! He's reclined back and had been watching tv before I distracted him.
Could Wyatt look any more relaxed?! He's sitting up on his own really well but Emily puts the boppy behind him for when he loses his balance. He layed reclined back like this for the longest time. I think he looks so much like Emily as a baby in this picture.
He LOVES music and evidently loves watching Dancing with the Stars!
Right foot up in the air as the judges give the dancers feedback...
Not hard at all to get a picture of this kid - I said his name, he turned and looked, I took the picture. He definitely knows all about cameras at his young age.

One of my new favorites of him...all I did here was start singing his favorite song. "C is for Cookie" and instantly you get a big happy smile!

Enjoying this gorgeous weather

While Jacob was doing the yard this afternoon, Wyatt and I hung out on a blanket enjoying the nice crisp fall weather. He was all smiles and enjoyed being outside.

Mr. Serious Eyebrow Man

And this would be why mommy won't be getting an Iphone anytime soon!

Wyatt also discovered the grass. This was the first time that he has really noticed the grass and he was quite intrigued by it.

And you gotta have a self portrait!

Dear nice weather....feel free to hang out for a while - we love you!!

And to quote Kate, "Julie Makes 3!"

And the McCullough family keeps on growing! My sweet friend Julie and her husband Lance are expecting their first bundle of joy in May. Congrats to the Roths - I couldn't be happier for you guys!

So the latest baby bump girls at my school are (from left to right) Julie (due 5/20/10), Kate (Luke - due 2/16/10) and Trudi (Kyle - due 12/29/09).

I love my baby momma friends!!!

Having a "Jacob" day

My mom often comments on how Wyatt looks like Jacob by saying "he is having a Jacob day." Rarely do I hear that Wyatt is having an Emily day! But I am really okay with that. I think my husband is very attractive so why wouldn't I want my son to look like him?! I say, the more Jacob days the better! Just as long as he acts like his mother all will be good : )

Wyatt and daddy spent the day together on Wednesday. Jacob calls it "daddy daycare"! I love it when Jacob keeps Wyatt for many reasons but one reason is that he sends me pictures on my cell phone throughout the day of my little guy which brings a huge smile to my face.

When I came home from school on Wednesday, I noticed that Jacob had taken these pictures of Wyatt eating and I must admit.....Wyatt was having a serious Jacob day! I love it : ) Another thing I love when Jacob keeps Wyatt is that he spends most of the day in his pjs!! How comfy and awesome is that?! Such special moments between father and son while mommy is at work - no telling what kind of trouble the two of them will get into later on!

6 month appointment

Monday (10/12) was Wyatt's 6 month appointment and man did we have a busy day! We started off the day having Wyatt's 6 month pictures taken with Melanie - I will post either a link when they are ready or I will post a few for your viewing pleasure. They are super cute by the way! Wyatt was a trooper and smiled big the entire time - he was a bit on the tired side and then of course got hungry but thankfully Melanie has a puppy dog that Wyatt smiled at most of the time and put him in a good mood. I also sang the Cookie Monster song about 100 times - thanks to my Aunt Mel, the Cookie Monster song is his favorite and always produces the biggest of smiles : ) After pictures, Wyatt hung out with his Nana while Jacob and I went to lunch by ourselves - which was wonderful yet a bit weird not to have Wyatt with us. Then back to pick up Wyatt for his big doctor's appointment. Wyatt passed out on the way to the doctor's office - the only nap he took all day long - remember.....Wyatt is a firm believer in naps being overrated! Anyway, doctor's appointment went pretty smooth - did his weight and height, saw the doctor and got all checked out. The doctor said he is one healthy little boy! Then the nurse came in to give him FOUR shots and I excused myself to the hallway - daddy was on shot duty that day! I could hear the little guy crying in the hallway but Jacob got him dressed really fast and then we were out the door and headed to the car. As soon as we got to the elevator he was finished crying and just cuddled in on my shoulder. I rode in the backseat with him and we smiled all the way home. The plan was to get home and feed him and then let him take a big fat nap the rest of the afternoon so mommy and daddy could nap...............but Wyatt wasn't on board with that plan! Instead he ate and then wanted to play - so we played! However, Wyatt thankfully was ready for his bath early and then was ready for bed at a much earlier time than normal - then he slept until 7:00 am when I had to wake him up to take him to the babysitters!

So, for Wyatt's 6 month stats:
weight.........17 lbs, 11 oz (53rd percentile) - skinny boy!
height..........27.75 inches (90th percentile) - long and lean boy!
head circumference.......I don't remember what the measurement was but he is in the 90th percentile..............smart long and lean boy!!!!

Here are some pictures of Wyatt right before the nurse came in to give him his shots..........he has no idea what's in store for him! But he sure was happy and content playing with the paper on the table : )

Yummy paper!

Back in the car after the dreaded shots - if you look close enough you can see some tears and his snotty nose - poor baby!

But we can also muster a smile for mommy! My precious little 6 month old - I love you Wyatt Aaron!

Weekend in CS

Wyatt and I spent this past weekend in CS while daddy was working. We started off the weekend by attending some volleyball games at TWHS. I had to ref the freshman games and Wyatt hung out with Miss Kate. Then we drove to CS and stayed at Mia and Papa Sam's house with April. The next day was a busy one - first we dressed in our game day attire ready to cheer on our Aggies and headed to April's house.

We watched some of April's swim meet - Go Tigers!

After the game we hung out at April's house and Jared and his buddy Sean did some serious cooking.............fajitas and dove/jalapeno poppers!! Delicioso : )

The cook himself!

So we ate and met some of Jared's friends - food was great and Wyatt was in a great mood even though our Ags ran out of time : (

April has this wonderful front porch swing so Wyatt and I did some swingin' and April took the pics - he LOVED the swing and really loved watching April jump out from behind the bushes to get his big smiles.
I love what he is doing with his lips here - so cute.

We were both cracking up at April..................

Great weekend visiting April and Jared - and we loved, loved the cool weather - please come back to visit us cool weather!

Happy Half-Birthday Wyatt

Today is Wyatt's half-birthday and I just can't believe it! Seriously, my little baby is 6 months old? Wow. I am about to go get him and take him to the baby sitter for the day then we are off to CS for the weekend. I will post much more about his 6 month birthday later on. We are taking pictures on Monday and he also has his 6 month check up - so stats and more pics to come.

But - there is one piece of exciting news......on Wyatt's half birthday he will be sporting his new big boy car seat!! He tried it out last night after his bath and he was really enjoying being in it - lots of smiles to say the least. Such a big boy and I don't think its possible to love him any more!

Halloween Bunco

A group of girls at my school have this little "bunco" group but the funny thing about it is that we don't actually play bunco - we just get together once a month and eat, sometimes do some wine sampling, and basically just hang out and enjoy each other. We have been doing this "bunco" group for over a year and I think we have only played maybe 2-3 times. Our group dynamics have changed a bit since several of us have joined the mommy club and a few more are on their way! So, anyway Ashley hosted "bunco" this past Wednesday night and she had the cutest Halloween snacks - she is so stinkin' creative! Here are a few things she had out for us to snack on..............

And now for the super fun pictures - the COWboys were in attendance at this month's bunco and it was so much fun watching them play with each other. For the new readers or those that might have forgotten, the COWboys consist of Caleb, Owen and Wyatt and they are pretty much the cutest things EVER!! Now time for a lot of pictures of the boys and the sad thing is my camera battery died and I didn't get any pics of the boys with their wonderful mommys!

Caleb and Wyatt enjoying each other - Caleb is almost 7 months old and Wyatt actually turns 6 months tomorrow : ) More to come on that!

Now, I usually do NOT dress my son in orange but I found a cute Halloween onesie that says "too cute to scare" and I had to buy it - with cute matching socks! Pretty much the only time you will see Wyatt dressed in orange.

Caleb loves to eat Wyatt's head - and Wyatt didn't seem bothered by it at all.

Wyatt enjoyed Caleb's toys - apparently he has better toys than we do : (

The boys working on sharing................or perhaps hitting each other with the cups!

So sweet - all of these pics were taken before Owen showed up so that is why you haven't seem him yet.

Mr. Caleb and his gorgeous blue eyes and a small amount of drool!

Wyatt was getting excited to eat himself some peas and cereal and he really didn't mind being the center of attention on the table. He is such a flirt!!

Then Owen showed up!!!!! Poor little man was super tired and Leslie was very funny about making sure he stayed awake so he would sleep that night. He was barely keeping his eyes open!

Then it was time to line them up on the couch and take some pictures. They are in birth order from right to left - Caleb (7 months), Wyatt (6 months) and Owen (almost 5 months). Things I love about this picture - Caleb has his legs crossed like Wyatt does these days, Owen is either trying to take a brief nap or checking out the keys in his hand and my son was smiling at all my girl friends trying to get their attention - FLIRT.

Aw poor Owen - he really didn't want to have his picture taken.

Now we get Owen looking at the camera and Caleb doesn't want Wyatt in the picture!

Then Caleb decides enough is enough and he will just turn around! I may or may not have snorted when Caleb did this. Too funny.

And then the boys were pretty much done with pictures and my camera battery died. Too bad because we were having a lot of fun trying to get all of them to look at the same time.
Gotta love our COWboys!!!
