Little Firefighter

This is a picture of my sweet cousin, Hayden, when he was 2 years old. I asked Tina if we could borrow this costume because I remembered how adorable Hayden was in it and thought it would be cute if Wyatt wore the same costume - seeing how Wyatt is the same age Hayden was in this picture. I had my mom scan this picture of Hayden because yesterday I tried to re-create it with Wyatt.

Didn't quite work out! Go figure. I could barely get him to sit still long enough to take his picture. Much less smile! It took me forever to get him to take this particular one and I was holding a bag of candy over my head - no joke!! Sadly I had left his yellow helmet at Kate's house from the night before so we just had a flashlight in hand like Hayden did. I tried!!!

These were all the "reject" pictures. He was very opinionated on how I was to take his picture and where he would stand and what he would do. Really kid? YOU ARE 2!!!

"Take my picture with Katie" - Um, yes sir?!

I can't wait to get a new camera that will take pictures super fast - maybe then I will be able to catch more of him actually looking AND smiling without having to hold something over my head!!!

"There's the kitty cat".

Oh Wyatt Aaron - you keep us ALL on our toes!!!

Halloween in the New 'Hood

Saturday evening was the Halloween party in our new neighborhood - well the one we will live in one day when we finally get our house built! The moment we knew we were going to buy a lot in this neighborhood, I told Kate and Leslie (my girlfriends that live out there also) that I plan to trick-or-treat this year in the new 'hood!! Well, even better, we got in on the neighborhood party this year and we had so much fun. The boys and I met up at the Norsworthys house before hand (Jacob had to work so it was just me and the boys = handful!). We got all loaded up to head down the street - little ones in the double Bob and big boys in the wagon. So stinkin' cute!!!

Garrett and Jane - they are 10 weeks apart! G was a dalmatian and Jane was a bat - I don't think she was in costume at this point.

Wy (firefighter) and Luke (farmer) The boys are 10 months apart.
Common theme - Wy doesn't look at the camera much : (

We started at this house where the kids played some games and then loaded up for a hayride around the neighborhood for more games and trick-or-treating! So much fun.

Wagon parking!

It took Wyatt a little while to warm up. He sat in the wagon for a while just watching all the kids and then he decided he wanted to get out but was not ready to play games just yet.

There is my dalmatian!! So cute.

This was at another house - they had a pumpkin pinata, pumpkin egg hunt and then a balloon popping game. He finally started warming up and wanted to play the games.

The bat and the dalmatian!

After the first stop, our other buddy/neighbor Owen showed up!!! He and Wy held hands : ) Leslie and I joked that we would put this in their senior year book! Sorry guys but its probably going to happen!

Then look who showed up with the fire truck!!! All the kids were super excited and of course had to make their way through the truck and turning on all the lights. We were just happy to see daddy!!!

We had a blast spending the evening doing all the fun Halloween festivities with our new neighbors!!! Just one more reason why I am anxiously awaiting our house to be built!

"2 days in a row"

Jacob took the boys to our new pediatrician today - G has another ear infection : ( We just can't catch a break right now. Anyway, he sent this picture out and his text read:

"I guess these will need to be put on the check list: diaper bag - check, keys - check, Garrett - check, goggles - check".

Love how Garrett is on the checklist! And 3rd on the checklist!

"What goes on in the backseat"

The boys are with Jacob today for DDC (daddy daycare). He sent me these pictures & text earlier and I just had to include them on my blog. Cracks me up! Gotta love 2 year olds : )

"Driving to the store, I turn around and see this....

When getting ready to leave the house, he stated he wanted to bring them (goggles). He kept them on almost the entire time at the store also!"

Pumpkin Carving Time!!

Jacob drove over to CS this morning to hang out with us on his in between day at work. After dinner, it was pumpkin carving time. I love me some pumpkin carving. I don't actually help but I love watching! Wyatt was excited and had a great time helping daddy.

Pre-carving picture. My dad found this pumpkin party hat at the farm patch yesterday. Wyatt thought he needed to wear it for a picture.
Garrett was all smiles for his 1st carving experience.

Let the carving begin!!

Very proud of his "W" pumpkin.

Daddy and Wy : )

We put a tea light in it and Wy kept saying "FIRE!!". We were not loving how he was so excited about "fire". Goofy boy.

Sweet boy!!!

Time to carve Garrett's "G". Pumpkin Guts!!

Garrett with his pumpkin - sweet baby was SO ready for bed but he hung in there for pictures.

Daddy and his little G-man.

Happy boys with their pumpkins!!!

Garrett was such a happy little boy today at the pumpkin patch. Lots of good pictures to choose from! This one is our favorite!!

Aw poor baby - he was ready for a little nap : ( But even when he is crying, he is so darn cute!

My precious little pumpkin in a bunch of pumpkins!!
