Home Sweet Home

So I am a month behind posting this, but moving and working basically comsumes your life for a while.

After a whirlwind of a summer we thought that everything was going to settle down and life would be normal. Not so much...

After coming home from California our landlords called us and told us that they are wanting to put the house up for sale. We panicked a little. We weren't really saving up to move. We just splerged on an awesome summer. We were a little worried. After talking to my dad, who was a realtor, and Tyler's dad, who is a mortgage officer, we decided that it would be an ideal time to move. With intrest rates low, house prices low, and it being a buyers market we took the plunge and looked for a house to buy. To say we were scared/nervous would be an understatement. We had many long talks for weeks. Many prayers were said. But we found a wonderful house that we can grow into, and hopefully live in for a long time.

With both of us growing up in Clinton (Utah and Washington) it just felt right to go back. I always shared stories with Tyler about how awesome Clinton is. They have a ferry we have the train. They have a Dairy Queen. We have a Walmart with a strip mall - lots of shopping and eating. Clinton, UT wins. :)

Our basement is unfinished, but it is framed and wired, which helps us A LOT. I am excited to personalize our home a little more in the next few years. It is still crazy to think that we OWN a home. Life goes by so fast!

Enjoy the pics, come and visit too! :)

Family Pictures

Oh, how I love my family. I was so excited to have my grandma visit from Brazil. The last time I saw her was when I got married 3 years ago. I couldn't wait to see her again! Now that she is here it was a reason to update our family pictures. Since the last family picture session we added another little one to the family! It's so fun to get all the De Macedos back together for an afternoon.

Vegas and California

After being home for 10 days we were off to California to visit the happiest place on earth. We just needed to make a pit stop in Vegas to say farewell to Phantom.

VEGAS:

Jack trying to flirt with me.

Coke from around the world samples.

Excalibur Show

Hoover Dam

My mom got a kiss from all three, she was in heaven!

Makes me laugh eveytime I see this picture!

Inside the Venetian

White men can't jump!

Some day we will see her in concert!

We had 2 people ask us to borrow our sign. :)

My favorite part of Vegas!

HOLLYWOOD:
Going down the walk of fame street was fun, but being a tourist hot spot you sure do see a lot of freaky people. I feel bad for the people that live around there and deal with the weirdos constantly. :)

Love me some Celine!

Tyler's all time fav!

Someone small like me!

Iron Man!

I love Lucy!

I feared for my life while I took this picture.
He talked just like the joker and I was scared.

Grauman Chinese Theatre

UNIVERSAL:
Thanks to my mom, we were able to get through all the rides in 90 minutes. Needless to say, we rode all the ride MULTIPLE times. Sadly I have to say "The Simpsons Ride" was one of my favorite. It truly hurts me to say that.

Surprisingly good ride.
Tyler tried to get me to watch Simpsons
after this trip. Not Happening!

Back To The Future was the new ride at Univeral last time I went in 1994.
It was nice to see some remnants of my time there 18 years ago!

What a classic ride!

This is the dog from The Proposal.

The view from Universal...the WB lot.
One day we will return and I will take the
Friends tour and sit in Central Perk...someday...

DISNEYLAND & CALIFORNIA ADVENTURES:
I felt like I was 8 and it was Christmas morning. The atmosphere alone is magical. The rides are wonderful and all in all it was a couple of  days I will never forget!

Can you just feel the magic?!

In front of Indiana Jones...

...about to ride Indiana Jones, jumping an hour long line. Thanks Madre!

Front Row Joe...ready for the splash!

Needless to say, Tyler did not become King.

So maybe I was the only one older than 10 in line to see Rapunzel and Flynn Rider...I don't recall anything from the last time I went to Disneyland. So, I get my little girl fantasy okay!

Even their bathrooms are Princesses and Princes!

I was the only one in family that wanted to go on the Teacups and that enjoyed it!
Those party poopers!

This is all we did in Cars Land. The rides were a 2 hour (or more!) wait in line.
Not doing that!

Disneyland has the best parades!

The Clawwww

The #1 on my mom's list was getting a picture with Mickey.
She didn't let us forget it until it happened!

Us girls need to stick together.

The Wonderful World of Color...FABULOUS!

Toy Story was surprisingly awesome!

I leave you with "Coaster Cam" shots enjoy!
The party poopers in the middle wouldn't raise their hand.
Like Father, like daughter?

This may or may not have been staged.

I just feel bad for the girl in the front row.

Tyler was scared. :)
