Audrey graduates from Preschool

Our last preschool graduate!

We celebrated with the traditional Creativity Celebration at the Preschool's new location.
Every year the graduates receive a framed picture of themselves and they are asked what they want to be when they grow up. Audrey wants to Groom Pets. Seems very fitting since she loves to take care of animals.

We spent time visiting one last time with all of our sweet preschool families, visiting and sharing stories as we walked around looking at all the wonderful art the teachers had been collecting over the year to share with us. It was fantastic!

About half way through, we gathered to celebrate our graduates.

by the way, meet Jay. Audrey's first crush. Swoon.

Every year the graduating students receive a book. I hope this tradition continues as the school grows and there are more students. It's one of my favorites! This year's selection was What Do You Do With an Idea?

after the reading of the book, each student was called up and recognized for how special they are. I'm sure going to miss this sweet group of kids and our wonderful teachers. I know Audrey is too!

Audrey's best friend Phoebe isn't graduating yet, but she wont be coming back since Audrey won't be there next year,. These girls have a very special relationship and love their time together! Her mom made and hour and a half commute once a week so the girls could get one day at school together.

Audrey and this cutie became fast friends this year too!

Ben and one of his former R + W classmates and good friend, Samantha reunite at the celebration.

and just like that, her name was erased and her time at preschool was over...and our families 5 years at the school had come to a close.

R + W is a special place, I am so glad each of our kids had the opportunity to attend school here.

There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children. One of these is roots, the other wings.

and just like that, Audrey concludes her very last day of preschool. My has she grown! I can't say she has changed much, she is still as sweet and kind as always and has the biggest heart, but she has grown tremulously in academics and her art/creativity. She always writing, wanting to learn to spell new words, alwasy making paper crafts and painting! I love all of her mini masterpieces!

On her last day we took a few pictures at our house and then headed off to school.

She picked out a necklace at the LEAF festival for each of her teachers, wrapped them and made them homemade card all by herself.
Thursday was her last day and it was also her last Phoebe day. These two are going to miss each other so much!
The two of them are good buddies with Seth, one of the sweetest little guys you'll ever meet!

at the end of the day, I snapped a few pictures of Audrey and her friends and some with her teachers. I figured it would be easier than rying to get a ton of pictures at graduation.
