My Cute Savannah

Mrs. Savannah (aka Sana) is such a little character now.  She is talking, asking questions, singing, or repeating what I say ALL DAY LONG.  We have heard the funniest things come out of her little mouth.  ENJOY

#1 We watched a family night movie with Pirates in it the other night.  That night in bed we are saying prays and Savannah says, "Thank-you for Pirates."

#2 We were at the park and Leif had his sun-glasses on.  Savannah was looking at herself in his glasses and then confusingly said, "Daddy where your eyes?"

#3 Whenever Savannag leaves the room to go anywhere she waves at me and says, "Buy, see-you-later."

#4 Leif was making popcorn for a movie night.  Sana could smell the popcorn so she comes RUNNING in the kitchen.  She looked up at Daddy, clapped her hands and yells, "Daddy making Popcorn?"

#5 Leif kissed me good-bye before he went to work.  Savannah was on my lap adn said, "Kiss Me."

My new hair cut

Another hair cut.  I asked for a 2 inch trim.  And got this.  I really don't like it.  But I am  getting use to it and realizing that hair grows.

Awesome Coustumes!!!!

For Halloween I thought the Twins' costumes were first place winners.   But after talking to all my sisters.... I think we came in close to last.  I love all my sisters because they are just so cool.  They rock.  And they all had rocken Halloween Costumes this year.
These are Lori's kids.  They were all out of Alice in Wonderland.  Lucy even had a tea-cup.

This is Amy with her newborn baby, Bonnie.  Bonnie is a little monster who keeps her parents up.

This is Kjersti.  I think you know what she is.  Good looken man.

This is Josett as a Disco Ball.  Her husband was an 80's man.

And this is my Husband!!!!  As?????

Halloween

Now that I have two fun-energy-candy loving-crazy-outing-always moving children, Halloween has been so much more fun.  They are excited about everything.  Whenever they see an pumpkin they yell, "ORANGE PUMKIN."  They now know what a candy-corn is.  And they know that when their customs are on, they are getting candy!!!!

The week of Halloween the twins and I had so much fun.  We decorated the house and made home-make ghost decorations.  We made sugar cookies and then passed them out to most of our neighbors.  We bought a pumpkin and carved it.  And we practiced saying "Trick-or-Treat".

see our fun hand-made decorations on the wall.

Micah is dropping a cookie in this picture.

Then on Halloween I put the kids in their costumes early in the day.  They are Peter-Pan and Tinker-Bell this year.  We talked about trick-or-treating and saying, "Thank-You."  Daddy came home around 6:00 so we had a quick dinner and then went to tick the neighbors.  Micah & Savannah were so so cute.  They wanted to knock on every door and then would just hold up their bags.
Leif and I decided that we would just take them around one small block.  But it ended up taking us almost 2 hours!!!  The twins were having so much fun. One house passed out Hot Dogs, chips and drinks so we sat and ate again.  Another house had a haunted house.  In the end the twins got a TON of Candy (and mommy threw most of it away)!!!

Date days

Leif has had a couple of days off over the last 3 weeks, so we got to enjoy some dates.    Last Christmas my parents bought us a Museum Pass were we get free access to most museums in the Tampa/St. Pete area.  The pass expires soon so Leif and I took advantage and went to the Holocaust Museum.  They have an original box-cart that transported some of the Jews.  This box-cart would fit 140 passengers at one time.  It was sad just looking at it, cut neat all at the same time.  After the Museum we went to a park on the beach and then headed for ice-cream.  It was a fun family-date-day.  I love my family.
The next day Leif had off we dropped the kids off at a baby-sitters and to  Bush Gardens.  The first thing we did when we got there was go on 3 roller-costars.  Then we both started feeling dizzy so we went to look at the animals.  We rode the sky-rail over the park visited the tigers.  But our dizzy heads never really felt much better.  So what we thought was going to be ALL day at Bush Gardens turned into a half day.  We left early and went out to lunch.  We did have a good day together, but I realized that my body is older than it used to be.

Orlando Temple

Last Tuesday was our Stake Temple Day.  And Leif had the day off!!!!   So we got to spend the day at the Orlando Temple.  Another couple came with us so we could swap baby-sitting.  So the kids had so much fun playing with their friends.  The weather was great.  The temple was beautiful.  The children enjoyed touching the temple.  I sure do love the temple.  There is always an amazing feeling there.

Cute Stories

Micah & Savannah got these little finger puppets for Halloween and fell in love with them.

Yesterday morning Micah came up to me and said, "Flower all gone".

I didn't understand what he meant.  And kept asking him to repeat himself.  And he would again say, "Flower all gone."

Finally after several minutes of frustration for both him and I Savannah came over.  She looked me in the eyes and said, "Froggy all gone."

I am so glade my daughter is bi-lingual.  She understands both English and Micah.

Both our children now say their own prayers.  It is so so cute.  They normally say, "thank you balls.... thank you toys... thank you milk.... thank you blanket... thank you cars... etc.

Well the other night Leif and I was standing outside their bedroom door and together they were saying prayers.  It was so precious.

After putting Savannah to bed last night she put her arms up and said, "One more kiss"

Great Day

Saturday October 20th was a full and fun day with the twins.
Leif had to work, so the twins and I packed out Halloween costumes , food, and camera then headed out the door.  Our first stop was at Kate's Birthday Party.   She is in Nursery with the twins and was turning 3.  Savannah gave her a tu-tu and got a big kiss in return.  Savannah also got to go on her first car-ride with a boy.  Cannon took her for a ride in a pink jeep and Savannah was all smiles.

After the birthday party we went to Largo Mall for Trick-or -treating.  Savannah had so much fun saying "ick or eat" and getting candy.   At our first stop she took her two most favorite candies and put one in her bag, then one in Micah's.  Oh... by the way they are Peter Pan and Tinkerbelle this year.  I hope you could notice by the pictures.

After dinner I took the twins to another Halloween Party at the Bellair City Hall.  Both the twins were in their costumes and knew they were going to get candy.
SO... as we got out of the car and heading toward the City Hall we passed a man on the street.  Savannah opened her bag towards the man and said, "ick or eat".  It was so funny.   They had a great day.

Talented Micah

My Micah is so talented.  Look what he drew in church ALL BY HIMSELF.

This is the best book I have read in a long time (and I read all the time).   I recommend it to anyone. It is about a girl named, Stephanie Nielson who was in a plane crash and burned 80% of her body.    She had a so-called perfect life, with perfect kids, and a perfect husband and then found herself in the burn unit for 6 months, then rehab and recovery for another 6 months.  It is an amazing story.

Check out my book blog if you want to read more. http://rachellovesreading.blogspot.com/

Activity Day Girls

A couple of months ago I was called to be the Activity Day Leader.  I was so excited.  In fact this has been a calling that I always said, "was the best calling in the ward".
I mean how awesome is it to meet every other week with 8-11 year old girls who LOVE everything.  These girls love their leaders, they are excited about all the activities, and they are all so positive.

Last Wednesday we did a Spa/Service Day.  I had all the girls invite a special someone to come.  The girls then washed, massaged, & manicured their friend's hands.  We then all had Banna-splits and talked.  it ended up being a great activity and the girls had so much fun.  I love my new calling.

My First Real Craft Fair

So most of you know that I love making hair-bows.  A while back 2 friends and I tried to sale our crafts together at a Flee Market. I sold 3 hair bows and made $4.00.  Well, I thought it was time to try again.  So last Saturday I bought a table at a church near by for their Craft Fair.

And I sold $50.00 worth of bows (but the table cost $35.00).  That is right.... people loved my bows.  I had Grandma's, young girls, and mom's all saying how they loved my bows.  Plus it was a lot fun.  I definitely want to do more fairs in the future.

My little helpers came for a couple of hours.

Disney Land 2012

Leif's family always get together once a year for a family reunion.  Because of different reasons, we hardly ever get a chance to make it.  But this year we did!!!  It had been 4 years since we had seen the WHOLE family.  And it was so great to see them all!!!!
We flew into California on Sunday and got reacquainted with all the cousins.  Two of Leif's sisters have children the same age as the twins, and the 4 of them were so cute together.  Micah loved wresting with his 3 older boy cousins.   Savannah gained a crush on her older boy cousin.  It was a so great to have the twins interacting with family.  And it was even better to see the whole family.  We had a blast and made great memories!!!

Leif's Dad got everyone 5 day Disney Passes.   I thought 5 days was going to be too much, but we all loved it.   It was great to be a kid again.  Leif loved all the adult rides.  It was fun to see him go on; Tower of Terror, Screaming, Splash Mt., The Cars Ride, & Grizzly Rapids over and over again.  Leif's Dad loved these rides as well and it was fun watching all the adults being kids.  Disney Land really does make you feel young.  It was a blast!

I love that Leif's Dad is th eonly one with his hands up!!!

The Crew!!!
Throughout the week we also got to participate in lots of fun adventures.  The boys went to Jay Leno and got to be part of the audience.  We watched fireworks, a light show, and Aladdin.  One night was a talent show, and another a testimony meeting .  Each night we had a wonderful dinner.  and most every night we stayed up late taking, playing games, or watching movies .
Thanks Mom and Dad for the wonderful vacation.
