Vacation in Spokane

Leif and I got to spend a couple of weeks in Spokane. It was really great to see my family again. Lori flew up with her 3 little children (Lucy, Ruby and Rachel). Amy also flew up so we could all be together. We had a blast doing everything from kayaking, rock-climbing, BBQing, biking, swimming, and just being together. I love my family.

We went on a CRUISE to ALASKA!!!!!!!

One of our stops was on the island on Sitka. My parents, Leif and I all went kayaking in two-men kayaks. Our tour guys was really cool. He had a eating sea plants, petting sea-stars, and even had clam chowder for us at the end.

Here is our two-men Kayaks. The kayaks even had rudders. Leif loved using the Rudder's!!! My father broke the cord to his rudder... but don't tell anyone! Another stop was the island of Ketchican. Leif and I had the wonderful opportunity of going sea snorkeling in the ocean. This was my favorite adventure. The sea life in Alaska was so different compared to the waters down south. We saw so many jelly-fish, they were everywhere.
The last stop was in Victoria, Canada. It is such a beautiful island. Leif's parents took us to a Castle built back in the 1800's. This picture shows us in the viewing room of the castle.
Here is Leif and I in front of the Parliament building. Downtown Victoria is BEAUTIFUL!!!

We got to see GLACIERS

Mama and Rachel watching Hubbard Glacier. It was truly a beautiful sight.

Leif with his parents, enjoying the view of a beautiful glacier.
This is Leif and I in front of Mendenhall Glacier. It is one on the main attractions in Juneau.

Daddy Maughan and Leif at Mednenhall Glacier. Notice the chunks of ice in the water.

This is Hubbard Glacier in all it's glory.
