Ginderbread Houses
Our friends Lechelle and Kelly had a Gingerbread Night at their house. They made gingerbread dough and frosting that actually stuck. It was a lot of fun cutting our houses and decorating them. Leif and I made a Gingerbread Tent and some gingerbread people. Top pic is Brittanie & Will Dyer. Second from top is Lechelle & Kelly Hendricks. Below them is Angela & Matt Muir. And us.

2nd year party
Leif and I had all the 2nd years over for a Chistmas Party. There are 5 different families (including us) who live in the townhouses and are in the same class. It was a really fun night. We had the kids decorating Christmas cookies and the adults playing White Elephant gift exchange. Jesse even nicely helped us fix our Christmas Tree.

Jane, Conrad, & Will. Little Luke must be running around somewhere.

3 Year Anniversary
December 17th was our 3-year anniversary. I can't believe it has been a whole 3 years. We celebrated our Anniversary by going out to eat at Brio down in the plaza and then watched the Kansas City Jazz Orchestra. We shared Bruschetta and a Chicken Diavlo at Brio. The Jazz Orchestra put on a Nat King Cole Christmas show and it truly was a wonderful concert. We had a great night. Leif was a true gentlemen the whole night. He opened all my doors (including the car) and guided me everywhere we walked. I really did marry a wonderful man!!!

I love you Leif. You are a wonderful man. I am so thankful for our temple marriage, and that we get to be together for eternity. We have had a wonderful 3 years, and I can't wait for many more. Thanks for being my husband.
This is us at the restaurant 12/17/08.

It's a BOY!!!!!!
We are having a BOY!!!!!!
December 2nd was a day I have been anticipating for a long time. December 2nd is the day we get to find out if we are having a boy or a girl. The ultrasound was scheduled for 3:15, and we didn't get called back until 4:00. You can only guess what I was thinking for those long 45 minutes. The ultrasound tech took both Leif and I back to the room as my heart kept pounding with excitement. The first picture to pop up on the screen was you. My how big our baby has gotten. Last ultrasound the whole body fit onto the screen, now it could only fit our baby's stomach and head. After the tech played around for a minute or two she then asked if we wanted to find out. "YES," I replied.
She quickly found our babys rear end and we saw that something was there. IT IS A BOY!!!! I grabbed Leif's hand and smiled. "We are having a son,"I told him. We are both so excited. In all honestly, I really wanted a little boy first. I had 2 dreams he was a boy and have always had a deep feeling that he was male. Leif is excited to have a son. And I am very excited to have a little Mamma's Boy.
We are not going to tell our families that we found out until Christmas. We have made a video for both parents where the truth will be revealed at the end. It is hard to keep such a great secret from our parents, but we only have 2 more weeks. so shh....
What a handsome young man you really are.
OUR MINI TRIP OVER THANKSGIVING
Leif and I took a mini weekend trip after Thanksgiving day. We visited Hannibal, Missouri were Mark Twain lived most of his life. We then went on and stayed in Fort Madison, Iowa, and ended out trip in Nauvoo. Each stop was different but fun. We had a really fun time staying in random hotels and eating gas station food. :)
Leif in front of Tom Sawyer's boyhood home. I am currently reading Huckleberry Finn. Going there really made me appreciate the author as well as learning more about him. It was a fun stop on of way up to Nauvoo.
Leif and I in our $39.99 Motel in Fort Madison, Iowa.
The town of Fort Madison put on a parade of light. It was cold, but we had a lot of fun drinking our hot coco and enjoying the lights.
The Temple is my new favorite thing about Nauvoo.
