Christmas

Christmas this year was a lot of fun. My little sister Josett got married on December 18th. So, the whole family came to town. We had 10 adults and 6 kids all piled into one house. The house was never clean but there was always something to eat and always someone to play with. We all had a lot of fun being together. The pictures below will show all the fun we had. All the cousins loved being together. And us adults loved watching them play together. All-in-all it was a wonderful trip. our twins first Christmas Leif and Mike (aka twin or brother-in-law)

Josett's Wedding

My littlest sister got married on December 18th. It was one day after mine and Leif's 5 year anniversary and one day before my other sister's anniversary. So it was a special time for everyone. It was wonderful to be in the temple and watch Josett get sealed to Scott for eternity. It made me remember my own wedding just 5 years earier. I remember being so happy the whole day. It was the best feeling knowing that I was being sealed to Leif for eternity. I loved listening to the sealer and being reminded of our temple blessings. He told Josett and Scott to never stop dating each other. He told them to continue doing sweet things for each other and have Charity towards one other. Josett had a smile glued to her face all day long. She was so beautiful!! And Scott is an awesome addition to our family.

We drove to the wedding on Saturday while the sun was still out. After the ceremony there was snow coming down. But it made for a beautiful white wedding. I love my little Josett; she is a wonderful sister and friend. I know her and Scott will be a happy couple. They are both such fun and sweet individuals. Congratulations little sister. I love you!!! Mommy and her babies

Over the last week the babies and I have been enjoying Christmas and all activities that go along with it. We have seen Santa 3 time. We visited Union Station Train Station along with Zona Rosa's ice-cave. We are looking forward for Christmas and all the joy it brings.

Savannah, Micah and Friends

Savannah has a neighbor named Ella who is 2 months old. Savannah loves playing with Ella, and Mommy loves playing with Ella's mother. Savannah enjoys being one of the bigger kids. She looks huge in this picture... it makes me laugh.

Micah has a neighbor named Cal who is 2 1/2 months. Micah likes to play with Cal, and Mommy likes to play with Cal's mothers. Micah isn't a lot bigger then Cal but he thinks he is. Mommy can't wait untill they can really play together.
Everyone palying together.

Santa

My babies have now visited Santa 2 different times. The first time was down at "Christmas on the River". Savannah really liked Santa. She opened her big eyes and wouldn't take her eyes off of him. Micah asked Santa for Milk. And Savannah asked for a Milkshake!!!! The second time we visited Santa was at the Library. Santa came and sang songs with the kids and then he let everyone come and visit with him. This time Micah loved Santa. He implanted his hands in Santa beard and wouldn't let go. Savannah again wouldn't take her big eyes off of him. This time Micah asked for rice cereal. And Savannah asked for oatmeal!!!!

I love Christmas

I love Christmas for many different reasons. I love the smell of Christmas. I love the Christmas music. I love the happiness Christmas brings. I love the sweet treats of Christmas. I love the true meaning of Christmas. AND... I love Christmas decorations.
Our Stockings and Christmas tree.My neighbor Shelly and I put all this lights up ourselves. It took us 3 days to get everything up due to our wonderful babies. BUT the end result was well worth it.

Merry Christmas

Playing as a family

My most favorite time of the day is when Leif comes home from work. He normally comes home between 5-7 o'clock and is ready to paly with his babies. We eat dinner together, play with the babies and then it's bedtime. Leif will always help me bath, change, feed and then put the babies down for bed. I know Micah and Savannah love playing with their Daddy and, I love it too.

Church Sites

Josett had never visited any church sites here in Kansas City and either had Micah and Savannah. So, Sunday after church we became tourist and went to both Liberty Jail and Independence.
I could go to Liberty Jail over and over. I always learn something new and I always feel the spirit.
Independence Visitor Center is such a warm place. I love walking in and seeing the statue of Christ with his arms outstretched. Micah loved looking at Christ too. He wouldn't take his eyes off of the statue.

Thanksgiving

The last 3 Thanksgiving, Leif and I have spent with friends here in Kansas City. This year was a special treat because we got to be with family. My littlest sister Josett is getting married in December and her fiance lives in Lenexa, Kansas. So our famiy got to spend Thanksgiving day with my sweet little sister and her soon to be in-laws. It was such a special treat to see Josett and Scott, plus we loved spending the holiday in a real home instead of a small townhouse.
Our Thanksgiving day was filled with games, ping-pong, movies, football and relaxinig. Micah and Savannah had a blast because they were held all the time. In fact, Savannah didn't take one nap on Thanksgiving day, due to all the attention. She rubbed her eyes throughout the day, but never went to sleep. Savannah is our little social bug. She doesn't want to miss any action. So she fought to stay away and then crashed the whole next day. Micah was a little angel. He let anyone hold him and smiled the whole day. Scott has an adaptive grandmother whole feel in love with Micah. They talked together most the night and it made Grandma's day.

helpers

The babies and I are finally getting back into a routine. They are now used to it just being Mommy and Daddy. They understand that they sometimes have to be put in a swing and they understand that they also need to help Mommy with chores. Micah has been really good about helping out with the laundry. He will watch me fold the laundry and put them away. Micah is also very good about riding in the laundry basket. Savannah is really good about helping Mommy with the dishes. She too watches Mommy do the dishes and she will even help fun them in the dishwasher.

Movie Night w/ Friends

Leif left town for another interview in Michigan, so the babies are I decided to have a movie night. There are some really sweet girls on the street who love playing with both Micah and Savannah. So we invited them over for a movie, with popcorn, brownies, apples, and cheese. Savannah and Micah both love watching T.V, but they also love being held. They both tried to stay up, but feel asleep during the movie. It was a fun time.

Home Again

We have been home in Kansas City for 2 weeks now. The first week was difficult. I would hear a baby cry and realize that my mom wasn't here to help anymore. I was not use to changing 2 diaper, feeding 2 mouths, washing 2 bodies, and rocking 2 babies. It really really was nice to have the help of family members back in Washington.
The first thing I did when we got home was try to put the babies on a schedule. But Micah and Savannah are really turning into individual people. Micah takes cat-naps throughout the day and Savannah will take one LONG nap in the afternoon (3 hours long). Savannah loves solid food and Micah gets frustrated when he sees a spoon. Savannah wants to drink every 3 hours and Micah could eat every 30 minutes if I let him. I feel like they are never asleep at the same time!! So I never get to sleep! But then I do enjoy my one-on-one time with each baby.
All-in-all it is nice being back in Kansas City and being together as a family. Leif works most days until 6:00. He comes home and we eat dinner and then play together as a family. My favorite part of the day is getting the kids ready for bed (with Leif) and then tucking them in. They are so sweet when they sleep. And then I love to sleep too.

More fun time in Vancouver

Halloween and the Blessing were the highlights of our trip to Vancouver. Yet, we had a lot of fun inbetween. The babies loved being held by their Aunt, Uncles, Grandparents, and cousins. The babies hardly ever touched the floor! We enjoyed home-cooked meals, movies, walks and just being together as a family.

Thanks Kanooth Family for such a wonderful trip.
