Is Your Dad (or GRANDDAD) This Cool?

Yep, out of ALL the doctors in Charleston, MY dad was asked to be on the Roper Saint Francis Christmas float. They were looking for a doctor that had all of the following:

1. Cool
2. Could Entertain a Crowd
3. Funny
4. Liked by His Community
5. Surfer (a real surfer... one that can ACTUALLY surf, and surf quite well)
6. WOULD actually stand on a float for a couple of hours in a wet suit and wave to people in freezing weather

Here are some pics from his time in the spot light...

Let me know if you would like him to show up at your next event. He even does children's birthday parties (he is great with kids). He charges by the hour and will give surf lessons as well :) What a cool Dad/Granddad.

Christmas at the Kimsey's

What a wonderful time of year! The boys had their first "Christmas" yesterday at the Kimsey's and it was such a great time. Every year Clay's Grandaddy Cliff has a Christmas party the Saturday before Christmas and then the last couple of years we have gone to Clay's mothers house afterwards and we all spend the night and have "Christmas" at the Kimsey's the next morning. It is truly like Santa has unloaded his sleigh there. Mrs. Lisa really goes all out at Christmas! Each grandchild has there own pile of presents that looks just like when Santa came when I was little. Not only does each grandchild get a bunch of presents, but so do the big "children" too...

I am very blessed to have such a great, great mother and father in law. They are not great because of the presents they give (though it is very nice of them and we enjoy them a lot!) but because they are so loving towards me and make me feel so special and loved. I hear horror stories about other peoples in laws and I feel so extremely blessed to have such great in laws that I love and love to be around. Thank you Mr. Jimmy and Mrs. Lisa for all you do for us and how you love us so much. We appreciate it!

Here are some pics from the weekend. Hope you enjoy...

So sweet. I just love to squeeze them hard these days!

Grandaddy was proud of his gifts too!

Trying to get a picture of me and Clay "Christmas Eve".
It didn't go to well. This was the best one of about 5 pictures and
it is out of focus. And we did not fight after this picture was taken :)
Clay was more than willing to try to take it over and over for me :)
NOT!

Miller and Daddy opening presents. He just kept
looking at his Dad and smiling so big.

Mommy and Miller with their big present... a wagon.
And they got many other presents like books, a DVD player,
a CD player for their room, toys, and many other things. I think Grandmommyclaus
brought way more than the real Santa Claus
is going to bring. I just have that feeling.

Grandaddy loving on us.
(I have tried for the last ten minutes to get this not to
underline and I can't figure out how to change it, so sorry.)

Christmas.

I still haven't got the file from my Christmas card yet but I will get it soon and let everyone see what we did for it this year...

Things Are Looking Up...

I DO NOT want to get my hopes up, but the babes have had 36 hours of good (pain free) feedings! We started them on Prilosec Tuesday night and I can't say for sure that is what has done the trick, but something has! The reason I say I am not going to get my hopes up is because they have gone through streaks of several feedings in a row being good and then reverted back but I have a good feeling about this time!

Other good news, we got out our Christmas cards out today! For a little while there I thought it would be absolutely impossible to pull them off (getting the picture, ordering the cards, getting addresses, labeling them, stamping them... SO MUCH WORK) but we managed to do it and I am so glad we did. I think they are so cute and once people have received them I will post it on here for all to see.

For now, here are two pictures from the day we took Christmas card pics for Clay's mom...

Now to eat something for the first time today! When you are busy, it is the easiest thing to let go... I am STARVED!

Showers Are For Losers...

Yep. Who needs to shower? I mean, are they that important? I won't say how long it has been (don't worry, it hasn't been THAT long), but I definitely need one. All day I tell myself that I will get it when I have time and then there is NO time. Today will be the day!

Speaking of not having time, did you know it is Christmas in a week and a half?!? We just got our first few little presents last night but we have MANY more we need to get. I don't know when that is going to happen either. We have Clay's Grandaddy Cliff's Christmas party this weekend, as well as his parents Christmas this weekend and then it is just a few days until actual Christmas day. Wish us luck.

The boys are still not eating good (we have good feedings and we have bad ones) but don't you worry, they are growing! At the last appointment they were 12 lbs 5 oz (Miller) and 12 lbs 7 oz (Charlie). Did I already mention that? Oh well. Either way, they are growing boys. They were 3 months old yesterday and have a few pictures to share. Here they are while they were NOT eating like they were suppose to so we had a photo session instead.

First three pics are Miller, next three are Charlie...

Now maybe I will go get that shower :)

Random...

Bebe just left... :( It is tough to see her go. We WOULD NOT have survived without her. I thought this was going to be a time for me to catch up but really Bebe being here just made it possible to survive.

Clay is better from the flu but we ended up having a few more little bumps in the road this week. We were trying to move the boys into their cribs but the heat upstairs keeps going out so that wasn't really possible. The boys and I both have colds now which makes it a little tougher on everyone and Miller got his tongue clipped (Charlie got his done last week) because they were both tongue tied so yesterday was a little rough for him. ALSO Clay is REALLY busy at work so Bebe being here was so nice since it was important for him to be there during this time.

Still have not been able to mess with the new camera much but I do have some photos to share from my phone... They are pretty random, but still cute.

Random picture taken of Charlie before nap time.

This picture was taken right before he got his tongue clipped.
He was being so sweet... little did he know what was about to
happen to him.

Before we headed out to get our Christmas tree!

(These next two pics are after the boys got their 2 month shots... so sad....)

This post was a little all over the place but that is just how I kinda feel right now so it will have to do. I just wanted everyone to know we are still here and still cute as ever!

Ups and Downs

Up... We got our Christmas tree and our house is fully decorated. Down... IT HAS BEEN A TOUGH WEEK. I am pretty much too exhausted to even go through it all but in short the boys have had a VERY difficult time eating and sleeping this week. All babies do is eat and sleep (and play a little) so when they don't do those things it can be very frustrating.

It is hard because when I have had little to no sleep then I easily start to get frustrated with them. OF COURSE it is not their fault because they are trying so hard to eat and are just having troubles (with the bottle, with the formula, with their digestive systems, and their tongue ties...) but when you are all alone and on the brink of insanity and then they won't eat, you start to feel hopeless (and then you start feeling like a bad mom for being mad at a baby).

On top of that, Clay now has the flu and so can't help at ALL with the babies. He is such a huge huge help to me that it is very hard not having him. No need to fear, BeBe is on her way here... now! So thankful that she can get up and go that easy to come help. For now, Jimmy (Clay's dad) is here. Clay's mom is hosting a Christmas party today and couldn't come so he is stepping up to the plate... So nice.

We do have our new camera and we don't really know how to use it yet but I will post some pictures that we have taken. They aren't great but I know once we learn all of it's bells and whistles, we will be like professionals.

( OKAY, I am having some picture problems. I will get back to you on that... to exhausted to mess with it at the moment.)

So Much To Be Thankful For

We just got back from the babies 2nd trip to Charleston and it was another success. I am SO THANKFUL that they are such good travelers. Except the one time we have to feed them, we pretty much do not hear from them all the way to Charleston! So nice.

Our camera has now officially died. We started having problems with it the day the babies were born but it has finally stopped working. Pretty much the worse time to have your camera break is the holidays with your new babies SO we bought a new one! I am pretty excited because I had wanted a nice camera to have to take pics of the boys but couldn't get myself to really consider it since we already had a camera but since ours broke... what better time to get another one?!?

With that said, I have no pictures from this past holiday weekend but I do have some pics that Clay's sister took the day we took the pumpkin pics... here they are!

And my favorite...

So sweet...

Happy Birthday to ME!

Yep! Today I am... 26 years old! And a mother of two! Wow. Crazy. Those two boys are so special. I woke up to them today and they had made me a surprise...

They must have been up all night thinking of what to do for me. Cool shoes, even cooler shirts, AND a birthday sign and card... these boys are good. They take after their Daddy :) Thank you SONS (and thank you Daddy) for making this day special!

Our Pumpkins Runneth Over

I was waiting to put these up because I was considering doing a "Thanksgiving" card but I realized that was going to be too much work especially since I would have to turn around and send out Christmas cards shortly after... Have you ever seen anything cuter than this?

We are so thankful for these blessings from the Lord!

8 Weeks Old

Just a few days ago I realized that I hadn't been taking "weekly" pictures of the boys. You know the kind? Where you take a picture in the same place every week of a baby to see how much they grow? Well anyways, I had always wanted to do this but it just totally slipped my mind so better a late start on it then never at all.

Clay and I don't have a fancy camera so these pictures are just normal pictures taken from a normal little camera :( Maybe one day we can afford to get a really nice one. I LOVE how pictures taken with nice cameras look, don't you? It makes the same picture just look so good.

Well, here are the boys at 8 weeks!

C-L-E-M-S-OOOOO-N!!!

Yep! We got to go to Clemson this weekend?!? And yes, we brought the boys! We didn't quite know how we were going to pull it off but we knew we wanted to do it. The boys are great in their Baby Bjourns and so we knew that if we could figure out the feeding schedule then they would do just fine.

My friend Josh got us his cousins parking space at the condos behind the Esso so we were able to feed the babes upstairs there ( in an awesome room with a huge tv, ect. ) before heading out. We stopped by the Young Life tailgate and hung out before the game and then got in the game right before the Tigers ran down the hill! We stayed in the game through half time and the boys didnt open their eyes the WHOLE game. They love being held so being in those Baby Bjourns is like heaven to them!

After that we headed back to the condo to feed them and got to see the last half of the game. We had a HORRIBLE win, but it was a WIN, so we were of course thrilled. We then hoped in our car and headed downtown for some food. After that we got back in the car and headed to the Grinstead's tailgate because.... Lindsay got ENGAGED! We are sooooooo excited for her. The ring is beautiful and we were so happy to be able to be there to celebrate with them.

At this point the babes needed to be fed again so we headed to Caleb's friends house to feed the boys. It was a great time hanging out there because in a house of 7 girls, there was plenty of excitement about having a baby around. (It was cute... they called the babies "Caleb's babies"). Well, we left there and got home at 9:30. We fed the boys again and we ALL went to bed. It was a very very exhausting BUT fun day. (By the way, the boys didn't wake until 4:30 am ... 7 hours!.. woo woo!)

Here are a bunch of pictures from our fun filled day...

Yesterday was a fun filled day as well... we had church (still on the computer at home at this point) and then I got to work outside. If you haven't been to our house, you dont know that we have a LOT of trees. And when you have a LOT of trees, you have a LOT of leaves in the fall. I like to call it LEAF WORLD right now. It took me at least 3 or 4 hours to blow them all up yesterday! YIKES. And the depressing thing is that if you look up into the trees, it doesn't even look as if any leaves have fallen yet! (and I did this just two weeks ago). THANKS to Clay for having Daddy Day Care inside with the boys so I was able to clean it all up. He did however have a few seconds to pop his head out and snap these "great" pics...
