Beach Boys

We have been at the beach since Saturday and time has flown by... I cannot believe tomorrow will be our last full day. I have looked forward to this trip so much and it has come and is going quickly!

The boys like the beach but in small doses. We can't stay forever down there but we get some good time in while we are down there. Miller eats sand non stop. And we let him (there is no use in stopping him when there is a whole beach full of it). Charlie is non stop (which is fine because there is a whole lot of space for him to move in).

We found an old Graco stroller from the early 1990's that was made for the beach (with it's big wheels) that has been a dream to use for the boys. It is a one seater, so we put Miller in the seat, and we stow Charlie in the basket on the bottom... HE LOVES IT. He is so relaxed and chilled down there. I think most of the people who watch us feel bad for him, but we don't because he is so content down there. Also, it has made it possible for Clay and me to take them down to the pool or beach by ourselves because we can carry both of them at the same time. It has been just great.

I don't have my camera cord here to upload pics but I have a few from when I was in the house with the boys while Clay was golfing... Man I love these little boys!

Double the Pleasure...

... double the fun!

We went to Walmart today to "stock up" on baby food. I figure we better buy it at Walmart before we go to the beach because the grocery stores there are ridiculously expensive and with the amount of food I have to buy for these two, it really makes a difference.

Did I mention they love shopping? I guess because it is out of the house and they like to do a LOT of people watching (like their momma...). AND of course everyone stops to talk to them, which they like a lot too!

Word of the Day... Medicine

YEP YEP YEP... The babes have ear infections again. Well, Miller does at least (Charlie just has fluid). We also all have a cold, which I suppose is what brought on the ear infection. Now we finally get to go to the ENT and figure out what we might do with them... perhaps it is time for tubes. So if you think the blog hasn't been updated all that much, it is because of a week of VBS and a week of SICKNESS.

All this sickness reminds me of a little video my brother put together recently with his friends about medicine. Check it out. It is short and very funny...

Makin' Whoopie...

... PIES! Do you know what they are? They look like this...

... and my friend Chris' mom use to make them when I was younger. He would bring them to school in his lunch box and if I was so lucky, I would get one. They are an old Amish tradition and are delicious. I have never made them but this weekend I saw a mix for them at the grocery store and thought I would give it a shot. I thought for sure that they wouldn't be anything close to the real thing since it was out of a box, but to my surprise they were pretty awesome! Hopefully one day soon I will get the real recipe for them. I wasn't the only one who loved them, these little boys joined in on the fun by being my taste testers...

Busy Babies

We have been busy with VBS this week so I haven't had the time to post... sorry. I usually have a long long nap time from the boys in the morning that I can blog during but since VBS was from 9-12, I wasn't able to take advantage of that time!

I really want to post something great and exciting but all I have are some random cell phone pics from this week, so these will have to do!

Big Boys

Did I mention yet that Miller has had a "summer" virus? He has had fever (off and on) since Sunday and has been a little under the weather. Please pray our little buddy gets better and that his brother miraculously won't get this sickness...
