Christmas 2011

Christmas this year with Ella being a bit older was so exciting.  She knew more of what was going on.  It was so fun to watch her just light up when she would open her presents.

Stocking stuffers from the dollar store (:

She went from wearing her PJs to wearing a new dress up outfit we got her

 I love this smile
She only loves dresses right now and she changes outfits constantly throughout the day.  She is definitely all girl.

Dressing herself in my old dance outfit-  Ella wears it as often as she can

"Tangled" Birthday Party

My sister Mel threw an amazing birthday party for my cute little niece Kate.  She turned 5 in October and I am finally getting around to posting the pictures. (: My sister even had Rapunzel come as a special guest.

I had to copy what my sister wrote on her blog, she said "It was a complete success! Ok, Rapunzel got interrupted by Kate at least eight times while she was trying to tell a story, but I really thought it was cute while at the same time laughing in embarrassment.  You had to be there but some of the questions she asked completely interrupting her included, "Does your hair really glow when you brush it?", "Are you really married?", "Do you really live in a castle?", "Does Flynn Ryder live with you in the castle?" "Does Mother Gothel live with you?", "Do you have a little Pascal on you shoulder?"
It seriously was hilarious.  I was just so happy that we were able to be to her birthday party.  We had the best time.  I know Ella loved every second of it.

New Adventure

So we have moved again, but this time it's permanent. (: We closed on our house last week.  It all happened very, very fast.  Logan took a new job at a bank.  It came out of the blue, but we are very excited for this new adventure. We will miss you Poky.  We lived there for 6 years. Crazy.

She loves Beauty and the Beast.  She would watch it daily if she could.  My sweet friend Angie let us borrow this adorable Belle outfit for Halloween.

My sis made this for our house warming gift. I love Pinterest!

Our Family Pictures with Pink Paisley Photography

It was such a beautiful Fall day to be able to get pictures done.  My friend Cassie, who took our pictures had called me up an hour before and said she was in town and had a engagement session cancel and wanted us to hurry over and get some pictures done before the sunset.  I was so excited, but I was running around crazy trying to find something to wear in my sisters closet since we weren't at our home and I hadn't packed much.  But we were very lucky to be able to get in with Cassie since she was booked the whole week she was going to be around. She had everything set up already and didn't want it to go to waste. I was so glad that it all worked out and a huge thank-you to Cassie for making it all happen. And thanks to my Mom and sisters for helping me find outfits. (:

Our Lovely Little {Lady} Turned 2

It was pretty easy thinking of what to do for a theme for Ella's party.  This summer Logan has been taking Ella outside to show her all the bugs and she would always get so excited to show me what she has found. One of her favorite bugs of course is the ladybug.  We ended up deciding to have her party at Bear World since that was where it all kind of began.  We went to bear world when I was 39 weeks along.  I ended up going into labor that same night. (:  So I thought how fitting to take her back to Bear World for her birthday.

For the party all of my side of the family as well as Logan's were able to come. We first drove through the park and got to see all the bears walking around,  then we stopped at the pavilion and ate pizza, ladybug cupcakes and cake.  Afterwards it was off to go on the rides and let the kids see all sorts of different animals at the little park inside.  We had such a great time.  Thanks to my family and Logan's family for coming.

Thanks to Nana Kinghorn for helping make Ella's ladybug dress.  It turned out so cute.

It was fun making her cake this year.  I worked a little bit more with fondant than I have in the past.  It actually was a lot easier than I expected.  I ended up making the bottom of the cake and had a girl make the ladybug.  My mom gave me the idea of doing a rice krispy cake so the lime green cake is made out of that and the ladybug was a vanilla cake with a raspberry cream filling- It tasted AMAZING.  I loved it.

It was great doing the birthday party at Bear World because they give you a deal where every person over 3 years old gets in for half price (2 and under is free), then they do signs up everywhere with their name and you get a group picture taken as well. I felt like it was the perfect place to take them.  All the kids loved it.

The cupcakes were easy to do as well.  I used fondant for the ladybugs body and some of the heads were whoppers or black icing for others and then I cheated and bought the sunflowers.  (:
