Birthday Boy
What a wonderful weekend! We had such a great time visiting with Newman and celebrating Jack's first birthday and our fourth wedding anniversary. We spent the weekend at the beach, eating cake and opening presents. Jack, once again, loved the beach. He built sandcastles with his dad and then enjoyed swimming in the ocean. The water was calm, but Jack did his best to make big waves. He splashed and kicked his legs like a pro. We can't wait to go back!
After some beach time and a nap, we went home for dinner, cake (a bath) and presents. Jack loved his cake. As soon as he saw the candle his eyes got real big and he had a look of amazement in his eyes. It was priceless. He tried to grab it, but we blew it out instead. When we put the cake down in front of him he went right in for the icing. He loved it even more when he discovered he could eat it. He didn't eat too much, but he enjoyed playing in the icing for a while. After cake and a quick bath Jack opened his presents. He was such a spoiled boy and got presents from all over. Thank you all for making his first birthday so special... even from a distance.

Hello Again
Well, it's been a busy month! We've officially moved to South Carolina and we're loving it already. We love the new house and are finally getting settled in. Jack also loves his new house and he loved moving in. He was very good at unpacking boxes, not so good at the putting stuff away part though. He really enjoyed spending time with Tullie, G, Nana and Pa on moving weekend. He was super lucky and got to see them again on Memorial Day weekend along with most of his cousins (we missed you Nate and Emerson!) I don't have a lot of pictures from the weekend, but here are a few of him with some of his cousins and some of him around the house this past week. There was one day in particular he was especially photogenic, so there are a lot to look through.

Bottle time and lunch time with Winnie on the way to Nana and Pa's house.
MC was such a big help over the weekend. The adults were very busy with party preparations, so she watched over the kiddos for us. Jack loved playing and reading books with her. Thanks MC!
Jack loved playing with Caz. He was still learning how to be gentle in this picture, but Caz was such a good sport... he just smiled all weekend:)

Easter, Funny Faces, Dogs and Baseball
April has been yet another busy month. Here are some of our favorite pictures from the month. We're getting ready to pack up and head to South Carolina in two weeks so stay tuned for pictures of the new house:)

Jack celebrated his first Easter this month. He loved the present from Tullie and G and he especially loved the eggs filled with puffs that the Easter bunny left him. He thought they were fun and cool because they made a cool noise when he shook them, but he thought they were really cool when he realized how to open them and get the puffs out.
We were supposed to go to Statesboro to celebrate Easter and Winnie's baptism, but Jack had his first trip to the ER this month. He had a 104.5 fever and scared his mommy to death. They ran many tests and all they could figure was that it was the start of croup. We got some medicine and started feeling better before it got too bad. Luckily the fever went down in the hospital and didn't come back. He was a very good patient:) We are so sorry we missed Winnie's baptism, but we're glad the little man is feeling better!
