Going to the Temple


Happy Days at the Temple


Today we got to go to the Temple and were able to see Jon's cousin Ryan Josephson take out his endowment. It was an amazing day, he is just such a Awesome guy were are all so very very proud of him and the decisions that he has made in his life.  I am so grateful for the person that Ryan is and for the kindness he has shown my little sister and the example that he has shown threw his example. here are a few pictures.

Lake Powell


Lake Powell with my Family

One of my familys very favorite things to do together is boating and our very favorite place to do it is Lake Powell! Some of my vary favorite memories from growing up were made on this lake so when my dad asked me to come home from maryland to go of course i had to go!

Lake Powell is the most amaizing place in the world, at least in my opinion. Beautiful red rock, sandy beaches, huge boats, family, friends, and a great tan, what could be better? I just wish that Jon would have been able to come, then it would have been the Perfect week.

Here is the Big Boat, we had to stop and pick it up on the way from Big Water Storage, it saves us from having to tow this big girl for 8 hours, 8 miles is much much better :D

Then its off to the Marina. We always stay at Wahweap marina becouse its close to Paige Arizona and my family always has to make at least one Run into Wal-Mart. ( this trip we made 4 runs to town)

The first 2 days we were in Powell it ranied. we didnt mind though we still had a great time!

So in between showers we made our own fun swimming in the marina, here is my mom on her floaty and poops getting her life jacket out of the jet boat.

On the Third day the weather Chanel reported that it was going to be sunny for hte rest of the week so we headed out to go camping here is a picture my mom took from the Big Boat of Brooke and I in the Jet Boat trying to keep up.

here is were we decided to camp, the Coave is called Gun sight. and we were luck to find a beach here, since it was the week of the 24th of July. talk about busy. But look at our view...Beautiful.

We Camped for 2 days and then decided to head back into the marina. The next Morning we decided to all go for a ride on the Big Boat up the lake to Dangling Rope Marina, its a beautiful ride. here are some pictures that i took on the ride.

Brooke Came to Visit Me


WASHINGTON DC VACATION WITH BROOKE
So last week my little sister Brooklyn AKA Poops came to visit Jon and I out here in Maryland. it was so much fun to see her!  I was so proud of my mom for letting her come! Surprised but proud! Any ways we had so much fun! 
On Monday night i drove to dullus airport and picked her up. when we got back to my apartment my amazing brother in law Jordan had made us dinner.

On Tuesday we decided it was such a beautiful day we had to do something outside so we decided to go to the national zoo! it was so much fun but so hot, and we ended up walking a VERY VERY LONG WAY! 

On Wednesday Jordan Decided to take us around downtown DC. We Walked even more then we did on Tuesday, but we had an awesome time! Brooke and I also decided to go to IKEA That Night we Also Drove up to the Temple so that Brooke Could See it at Night.




On Thursday Brooke and I decided to wake up early and try to go to the Holocaust museum. It was so amazing. We Were so glad that we got tickets to it. we had tried to go on on Wednesday with Jordan but by the time we had gotten their all of the tickets had already been given away. But the Holocaust museum was the only museum that Brooke really wanted to see. When we finally got inside it was worth all of the hassle, the was amazing to see, and the feeling that was inside was unreal, as we sat and listened to the the stories of the survivors, saw the horrifying images of the events that took place.  it was Horrifying to imagine how someone could be so inhumane and heartless. 


On Friday Brooke and i got to go to the White House. A couple of weeks ago Brooke got into contact with our Idaho Senator and was able to get us tickets! it was such an amazing experience to get get to walk into the home of our president. After the White House brooke and i decided to see as many monuments as possible. We saw the Lincoln Memorial, the Korean War Memorial the Ronald Regan Memorial, the Jefferson Memorial and the Washington Memorial. All in All we figured we walked 12 miles. But every One of those miles was worth it! Talk about an AMAZING day with my little sister. 








On Saturday Brooke and I Just Hung out at the Pool, and went Shopping it was a nice relaxing day and we enjoyed just spending some time together.
On Sunday morning we got up at 5:30 and left the apartment by 6:00 to make it to the Airport on time. It was so sad to see poops leave we had such a great time while she was here. 

These are not all of the pictures that we took, because some of the time we only took pictures on Brooke's camera, so as soon as she emails those pictures to me ill add another post with a slide show of those pictures.
