Yesterday I got a chance to actually use my phlebotomy license! It was so hard but so rewarding at the same time. I when ahead and took the phlebotomy classes about a year ago with Jon, since the class I honestly have not even used it once. Besides drawing Jon's IRs. So when my mother in law had an opportunity come up for me to participate in a Medical Study at Her Lab ( which would look really really amazing on my application to the MLS program) I decided I better jump on it! So yesterday I had two supper nice patients who were nice enough to let me draw their blood every 15 minutes for close to 9 and a half hours! In worked out to be in the neighborhood of about 130 draws! I was so tired by the end of the day my entire body ached! But it was so rewarding and I was so proud of myself for being able to do it! Im looking forward to participating in another study on Monday :D ill let you know how it goes!
