Jerika's Birthday

I cant believe my baby just turned 4, It feels like yesterday that we brought her home from the hospital. It has been so fun to see her personality develop and boy does she have a great one. Jerika is so fun and loving. She wanted a Barbie Princess part and dressed up like a Barbie Princess for her party.

We made a castle cake and had a great time decorating it.

We had a wondeful time celebrating her special day.

New home, New pregancy, New Job

Life has been crazy over the last 6 months and I have not written in a very long time. So today Is the day that I give some updates. My pregnancy is going great, I have 10 more weeks until I deliver and am starting to show finally. The adoption is on its way but we are still very worried the adoption committee might send our little girls to live with thier step grandma in Mexico. We are terrified and pray daily that the people on the commitee will be inspired to do the right things and not ruin our childrens lives by making a terrible choice. They are our kiddos and we love them so much. Jacqueline has been with us now for 1 yr and Jennedy has been with us her whole life thats a whopping 10 and a half months.

Joe got a new job that is closer to our new home, instead of the hour and a half commute his job is now 3 miles away. He is now doing what he wants to do and is making more money too. It is nice.
We moved into our new home and love it. We were growing out of our old house and with the new baby coming needed more space so we decided to move. We put our house on the market 3 days after deciding we should move and six days later it was sold. Then we were frantically trying to find a new place that was exactly what we wanted and we did. It has been remodeled, has a good piece of land and a huge family room in the basement. We could not be happier with our find and are having a great time in our new place.

Have you missed me?

So I have not written for a bit becuase... well thanksgiving and Christmas are big months for me and there is not much down time to write. We sure had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We went down to grandma and grandpa's and had so much fun. The girls loved spending time with thier grandparents and cousins. We had lots of fondue, cheese and carmel and chocolate ones. The kids, well parents too, ate so much of those munchies that no one was hungry for Thanksgiving dinner. So we all went to a movie while the kids played and super grandma babysat. Then when it was very late at night we pigged out on turkey and pumpkin pie.

Christmas was great too. It was so fun haveing two 3 year old girls with tons of enthusiasm. We started opening presents two days before chirstmas as Joe felt like we would have more fun with opening one at a time and playing with what we got until we got bored then opening another. And let me tell you, it was so much fun. We actually got to enjoy each present as we opened them instead of rushing through and not letting kids play with each toy they get, when they get it. Usually its like "wow thats cool, ok put it aside and open another one." So this year was different. We loved it and may make it a family tradition. By the time Christmas eve came all the presents under the tree were opened. Then in the morning it was full of gifts again from Santa so we had several presents to open on Christmas morning, as well as stockings. We had such a fun time.

It is amazing that as the kids get older how much more fun holidays are getting.
