Our sweet little Maddie turned two and half yesterday. Tonight when I was putting her to bed I couldn't help but think of when she was a tiny little baby and how she has become this amazing little girl. We prayed so hard for her little life and from the moment I knew I was pregnant with her she has brought us nothing but JOY.
So in Honor of this milestone...here are a few reasons why I love Maddie:
1. She seriously is the most beautiful little girl.
2. I love that most days when she wakes up her hair looks gorgeous and I don't have to try to fix it.
3. She loves to pray and talk about Jesus.
4. She tells me she loves me a million times a day.
5. Her sensitive heart that will one day be her greatest asset.
6. She loves her baby brother and is very protective and sweet with him. (reminds me of another big sister I know.)
7. She is incredibly smart...her memory baffles me and her language is impressive. (even the speech path in me is amazed)
8. Her voice in beautiful and she loves to sing. She has started making up her own songs to her daily routine.
9. Her kisses are the best and she gives them often.
10. Her smile can melt my heart.
Maddie, You are the answer to our prayers. You have brought so much joy to our lives and we thank God for your precious life every day.
Love you sweet girl!

6 Months Old
Hi friends. Well we have reached a milestone. Our sweet Wyatt turned 6 months old today. I REALLY can't believe that 6 months have passed. He has changed so much from the little guy we brought home from the hospital. He has the sweetest personality and LOVES to laugh and sqeal at us. He also loves his Big sister who pretty much keeps him amuzed...which helps on car rides. He is a momma'a boy through and through. He gives me BIG slobbery kisses every morning when he wakes up and every afternoon when I pick him up from daycare.
He has the craziest hair these days. It is SO wavy on top and I believe he will have curls like Maddie. It absolutely will not comb down anymore.
He started solid food this past weekend and loves the veggies we have given him so far. As you can tell from the pictures he doesn't miss a meal and is extremely healthy. We take him for him well baby visit on May 5th so I will update his stats soon. Thanks Wyatt...you have made the past 6 months pure joy for your daddy and I. Our lives would not be the same without you!

Gymnastics
Hey everyone. Maddie started gymnastics last night. Or as she calls it "plastics". She LOVED it!!! She really loved sliding into the foam squares and jumping on all the trampolines. Here are some pics from our eventful evening.

"Help me across the Ridge"
So this is just about the sweetest story about our little Maddie. Yesterday, Nick took Maddie up to our neighborhood elementary school to let her play on the playground. Last time we took her we had to hold her hand while she went across this suspension bridge they have. She hates that the bridge moves under her and is quite scared of it. Yesterday Nick held her hand the first trip across to get to the slides. On her second trip she said, "Daddy hold my hand to cross the ridge." He told her she could do it herself and she kept saying how scared she was. So Nick told her to pray to Jesus for her to get across the bridge. So she held on to the bars and started praying. This is what she said, "Dear Jesus, help me get across the ridge. In Jesus name, Amen." Nick said she said it over and over and over again until she made it all the way across the bridge. When she made it across she turned around and smiled at nick and yelled, "Jesus helped me cross the ridge. I'm not scared."
I love that our little girl is learning who to cast her fears upon and where to turn when she is in need. Sometimes I need to be reminded to have faith like my 2 1/2 year old "faith like a child" and I need to be reminded to ask for help when I'm crossing the "ridges" of life.
Now you may all grab a kleenex. =-)
