We took the kids to the Dallas Zoo before we headed back home. We love that zoo and had a blast. It was the perfect ending to our trip!

We went to my dad's side of the family reunion while we were in Dallas. It was so good to see my family and for the kids to get to see and play with their cousins.

We found a water park that was perfect for our kiddos. It is in Rowlett and they were able to do everything in the park completely independent of us.

After the State park we went to Fossil Rim. The kids had so much fun feeding the animals. They loved how they walked up to the car and stuck their heads in. Doak had fallen asleep after the park but woke up about half-way through with a deer in his face. :-)

We decided to take the kids on a mini-vacation since Doak is still too young to enjoy a full blow get-away. Our first stop was the Dinosaur Valley State Park. This was one of my favorite trips as a kid and the kids loved it just as much as I once did.

We had a great 4th of July. The kids decided to ride their bikes in the neighborhood parade this year. They had so much fun! I love this new family tradition!
