Hey
fam, how's everything going this week? sounds like things are pretty
busy... like usual. But Idaho sounds pretty sweet- I kinda miss it up
there.
But this week has been pretty crazy, we've been going hard like
usual and we found quite a few potential investigators
which was fantastic, and also Sister Martindale will be getting
interviewed for baptism here this week I'm super excited for that and
also her step daughter is going to be baptized here soon as well. Also
we have an investigator that we found last week who
is progressing rapidly. He's already read through first and second Nephi and he's still going strong and he love the Book of Mormon so he
should be progressing here shortly.
The area of Pittsboro is definately
growing and I'm loving it. We've taught quite
a few people in Spanish this week which was great. My Spanish is coming
along nicely. Elder Warner and me speak it all the time which helps out a
lot. He's being transferred this week so I'll be getting a new companion
on Tuesday. We met President Bernhisel
on Wednesday he's an awesome man and I have no doubt that the success
that the mission is having will continue. It's been over 100 degrees
here everyday- it's terrible to be out tracting in the heat but people
feel bad for us so they let us in to talk with
them which is good because most people have a lot of interest after
we've shared the first lesson with them because it's something that
makes a lot of sense. I've been drinking water a lot except the one day I
didn't and I definately paid for it... I felt
terrible that night but it's all good I'm doing great now. My ward
mission leader is going out to Utah this week he may say hi to you if
you're around. Brother Blackwell- he's the bomb- I've learned so much from
him.
So what are you going to be filming in Goshen? We've used those videos for some of our lessons and they've been
perfect. The kids are going to have to stay small and stop growing so
that when I get back I'll be able to recgonize them. I finished the Book
of Mormon again- I think that's the fifth time here
on the mission... it's so amazing I love that book- it brings so much
peace and light into my life and into the lives of those who read it. I
have no doubt it's true and no doubt that this church is true it's an
amazing blessing that we have to be a part of
it and to have the Book of Mormon and Prophets to lead and guide us.
well I hope you all are having a good week I love you all a bunch.
Love, Elder Miller.

Domestic Diva(s)!
How did I spend my Fall Break? Canning! Brooke and Brittani came over and we did lots of canning-with a little help from Mara. Here are our totals: 22 pints of raspberry jam-raspberries from Marcie, 20 quarts of apple pie filling, 34 pints of salsa-the girls did 21 pints all on their own one day when I was at work, 27 pints and 12 quarts of applesauce, 24 quarts stewed tomatoes and still drying apples. I think we could survive for a while! I know this sounds like a lot of work and it was, but we grow a garden and have fruit trees so we can be prepared especially with the economic state we're in, it's a good thing to know how to do(not to mention all the money we'll save this winter not having to buy all this stuff). While we were doing the canning, Brittani kept reminding me that this was something I was doing to blog about-not something one of my kids was doing-but me. Although clearly I can't blog without pictures of Mara! It was fun for the boys to harvest all the fruits and vegies and then the girls were working inside. Brooke and Brittani did comment on how much more fun it was now than when they were being forced to help when they were growing up. It was definitely more fun for me because there wasn't any yelling and threatening going on on my part. Here are some pictures of our fun weekend! Oh yea-I went through the whole canning season without stitches!!!! That's a first in a long time!

Look who's blogging!!!

Here are stolen pictures from Brittani's blog! But isn't she so cute and so big?
So not much is going on except football. Brett finally got to start playing-his knee was doing better and then he bent his brace in a game and now it's a mess again. We go see a new dr. this week.
It's conference weekend and while I know most people enjoy it, I hate being a single parent. The boys go to the conference center on Saturday evening so they can be with Paul and the girls and I hang out together and I like that. Tomorrow everyone but Paul will be over and it's lots of fun I just wish Paul were here with us.
I'll work on being a better blogger and post more pictures that aren't stolen. I'm just stupid about how to do it!
