California... again!

Well, last Thursday, the 15th, Mom and Dad opened their mission call. They have been called to serve in the Baltimore Maryland Mission. Even more surprising and exciting than that is that they are to report to the MTC on Monday, April 9th.....WHAT!?!?!? Yup, that's right... 3 1/2 weeks from the day they opened their papers. So crazy! So, Mike, Bryan and I decided to throw together a farewell party for them on the 24th. I planned on driving down to California with the kids on Monday, the 19th. But, I woke up on Saturday, the 17th and checked the weather and saw the it was not going to be good. So, I ran around like a mad man Saturday and got everything together for the kids and I to head down to California early on Sunday morning. I was a little nervous not only having to drive by myself with both kids, but also because it was my first long car trip since I got off of the clots. Much to my pleasantry, it went so well. The kids could not have been better, which made it so much easier on me. We left Sunday morning at 7:00, and I pulled up to Mom and Dad's house right a'bout 4:15. We stopped in Roseburg for a potty break, Ashland for lunch and a pit stop in Williams to go pooh pooh for Tucker. :) Not too shabby if you ask me. I was glad that we were able to get here in time to have dinner with Mom and Dad and Mike and Bryan and their families. I miss being able to do family dinners, so it was fun to be involved in this one. So far it has been a great week. I will have a lot to blog about when this trip is over! :)
