Random Family Fun

We have had some random family fun over the last few weeks. So I thought I should share it here so we can always remember how much fun our family really is. Smile

Sometimes, most times, the most fun happens here at home. Bailey constantly keeps us laughing. One day we were sitting on the couch and all of a sudden we heard Bailey saying “YEEHAW”. When we looked back we saw Bailey “riding” her little pony. It was hilarious. She thought it was the most fun ever. She does silly stuff like this regularly. She constantly keeps us laughing.

After having our BBQ roll off of our porch twice in the last few months during wind storms, we decided that it was time to get some pavers and make a spot on the ground for the BBQ. Well, of course Bailey and Tucker had to help. We all had fun in the yard doing some yard work. I can’t wait until we own a home and we can be out doing yard work more often. Smile

One Saturday we had finished all of our chores early and as we were sitting trying to decide what to do, Tucker very excitedly asked if we could go to the “Sand Scooper Upper Park”. It got it's name from the toy in the picture below. Smile

If we go to a park with swings, you can guarantee that Bailey will want to be spending ALL of her time swinging in the swings. She gets very upset when I tell her that she has to give other kids a turn. Smile

While spending time in the front yard one afternoon, Tucker and Bailey were picking all of the daffodils and blowing all of the seeds around. Well, Bailey also had a runny nose and held the daffodil a little too close to her nose. She thought it was hilarious, and so did the rest of us.

One Friday we went to a GREAT park in Independence that had this awesome fountain. The kids had so much fun playing in it. I’m pretty sure that the people walking by watching them, enjoyed it almost as much as the kids enjoyed it.

Tucker’s clothes got SOAKING wet. So he stripped down to his underwear. I couldn’t help myself from taking this picture. I think it is too cute of my underwear boy and my baby girl. I love them too much!

Goin’ to the Lodge…

GREAT WOLF LODGE! IMG_0589

After begging David, pretty much ever since Tucker was born, he was finally convinced to go to Great Wolf Lodge. We went with our good friends, The Sellers. Their oldest son, Chase, is Tucker’s best friend. So those two boys had so much fun. Their daughter, Tempe, is 6-months younger than Bailey, so we each had a small one to care for as well. Bailey wasn’t loving it as much as I thought she would. I think it was mostly because she was out of her element, there were a lot of people there, and she is Bailey. Regardless of her hesitancy, we had a great time. Tucker was a champ and went on ALL of the waterslides. He was probably the first 4-year old in the history of the resort to be able to go on their huge waterslide. Here is a link to all of the attractions that we did…http://www.greatwolf.com/grandmound/waterpark/rides

While sleeping was an issue the first night, the second night, we were so exhausted that we were ALL conked out by 9:00. It was glorious. We had so much fun playing in the water, video games in the arcade, eating ice cream, and just spending time with friends. David and I were on fire at the arcade. We were kind of wishing we had been in Vegas, because we rarely got less than 30-40 tickets per game. Tucker was excited because when all was said and done we had somewhere around 1400 tickets to spend at the counter.

There is a wizard type game that you can pay to play around the resort. We didn’t feel like the kids were old enough to really play it, so we will have to give it a try next time. Anyway, it was still fun for us though, because other kids were carrying these wands around and they would wave them at certain objects, which would make the objects come to life. One of them was a big bear skin rug that was hanging on the wall near the stairs. Every time we were on the stairs the kids had to stand and wait until someone would get the Bear to talk. Just across from the bear was a stuffed ferrit in a cage. It was HILLARIOUS because all the little animal would do is belch, and then smack his lips. It made me laugh so hard every time he did it. I’m such a child.

All in all, we can’t wait to go back again. Next time we go, we are definitely going to go with friends because as much as we want to, I don’t think David and I could keep up with Tucker the whole time. Winking smile
