Adeus Brazil!
After two long years , our Sweet Pete is home from his mission in Brazil! He spent two tiring, hot, long spiritual filled years teaching the people of Brazil about our gospel. I am sure that he had some mixed emotions about coming home, but we all were so excited to see him.
We were only allowed to talk to Pete on Christmas and Mothers day on the phone so all other contact was either letters or email. Imagine that. What a sacrifice Peter made, and we are so thankful for the blessings that it brought the Morphy family.
Everyone was there at the airport to greet him. We had the whole Morphy side; Sam and Carol with Samantha and their temporary exchange student Harry from Australia, Aunt Mimi and Bill, and Liz and Charlie. We had the whole Baker family including Grandma and Grandpa Baker. plus all of Baker's sisters and spouses. Needless to say there were a ton on us there. It was so much fun.Cindy was probably the most excited to see him, and couldn't handle waiting in the back like the rest of us. She got as close as she could to the gate without having to go through security, and was the first one to greet Pete when he landed.
Peter looked so great when he got back, and I can't believe how much he looks like Baker. He had that Brazilian tan, and overall healthy look. Its so weird to think that he already left, served his full two years, and is now back. time really flies by. Baker and I weren't even engaged when he left and now we are pregnant with our first. Life is great!

Prep Day!
I was lucky enough to spend a few days with the Morphy's before Baker and the rest of the kids came home for Peters homecoming. It was so nice to have some quiet time, and be able to hang out with Mere, mom and dad. We stayed up late watching American Idol and 24! What more could you ask for?
All the kids were coming home Valentines night so mom made some cookies that Mere her and I decorated the night before. They were sooo good. Cindy inherited the recipe from my sister Rebecca so its not a wonder that it was such a hit.
Since Baker and I weren't together on Valentine's day, he had some flowers sent to me at the house. It was so much fun to have something sent to me. I was never huge on flowers before, but lately I have loved it every time Baker has sent them. It was sort of a bummer that Bake and I couldn't be together since it was our last Valentines as non-parents. So funny to think that this time next year I will have a 7 month old daughter. I can't even wait.
After Mere and I decorated cookies, we moved on to the posters. Tradition in the Morphy family is to have a big group of family; aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents at the airport when you get home from your mission. Peter was coming home from Brazil the day after Valentines, so we got our poster making on. Mom made a huge banner but the rest was up to Mere and I.

Such a disapointment!
For the last week I have been staying at my in-laws. One of the best weeks i have had in a long time. Baker and I flew back last night, and this morning I woke up with the biggest craving for pub mix. Mere Mere and I, with the help of Cindy(not so much her as much as Mere and I) went through an entire container before the kids got there on Thursday, so we went out and got another one. Its sort of like a gardettos mix, with the really good rye wafers and hot orange things in them.. well I wanted some so bad this morning that we went to our local Costco only to be disappointed to hear the news that MY Costco only carried them during the holidays. My day was ruined. I miss that pub mix. Mere.. if you are out there and you are listening, save some for the next time I come home please.. I want some! Argh Costco.

Weekend Numero Dos- San Fran and the Anthonys!
So working for the boss has its perks, and this week it was a paid trip to San Francisco! Baker unfortunately couldn't make it up until Friday, but Thursday I flew up north to do a little shopping and eating! I don't know why, but the city has some of the best food I have ever eaten. House of Nan King is one of my favorite restaurants, and it wasn't even an hour off the plane that I waited to eat it. Yummy!
So the trip is for all of the sales reps in the company who win a competition, and I just happened to be invited because I do all the planning. I book the hotels, the flights, the restaurants, prepare the awards, the transportation to and from the airport, and the outings to the wine country. He figured since I do all that, I might as well be invited. Ha!
It was a little lonely until Baker got there, but once he did it was non stop. We had dinner with some of our old friends that moved to the city less then a month after they got married, and we have only seen them once since they moved. Kristen and Adam have been close friends for quite some time so it was so good to see them. They were great about driving us around town to see all the sights you can't get to by foot, and filling us in on all the local food type products.
It rained four out of the four days that we were there, but it was a really great way to spend the weekend regardless. It was also nice to be with the Anthony's because that meant we didn't have to miss any of our favorite shows.. ie Greys and The office. I just love getting to see our friends. Thanks a million to them for all they did this weekend for us. We owe you guys big time. I could tell Baker was missing having Adam around a ton. Those two have some special chemistry goin on!
From San Fran I came here, home at the Morphy's. Bakers brother Pete comes home from his mission in two days from today. We can't even wait!

Weekend Numero Uno- The Marquardts!
For the next three weekends in a row Baker and I have something exciting going one, I can't wait. Last weekend Mike and Cami came into to town last minute and we got to stay at her Boss' house on the Balboa Bay.. life must be hard for her since she also owns a house a block away on the beach that she is leveling and building again! Regardless her new home on the Bay is fabulous. Right out of a Pottery Barn catalog only nicer. It was just what the doctor ordered for Baker. Two of his favorite things, the Ocean and his sister Cami.
We also had one of my old friends that moved to Salt Lake in town who hung out Saturday afternoon with us on the bay. Scott and his girlfriend Colette. (I have never known Scotty to have a girlfriend in the many years I have known him so it was fun to have them here.) We spent the afternoon putting around the bay in the Duffy that was out back. The weather was beautiful. Perfect for our afternoon boat trip.
We were bummed when Cami and Mike had to leave but knew it wouldn't be long till we saw them again. Big Pete comes home in just a little over a week and we will see the whole family again then! So many changes for Peter.

Halfway There!

So I finally hit the halfway mark. I am closer to delivering then I am to conceiving. It feels great, although I still feel like I have FOREVER! I love being pregnant, but I can't wait for my little girl to be here so I can hold her and kiss her and all that jazz. There are still days when I stop and can't believe that I am about to be a mother. Am I ready? Ready or not, she is on her way. I can't even wait to see how life changes and to watch my little family grow. I'm sure babies number two and three wont be too far behind. Ha.. yeah right. I am sure I am going to need tons of time. My belly is continuing to grow at rapid speeds, and I can't get out of a store without someone asking my due date. June 25Th our little girl will be here!

Must Stay Motivated
So I am not quite sure how she does it, but my sister manages to post to her blog almost daily, while taking care of a house and two little ones all at the same time. She has got her hands full, and I can't even post weekly with nothing but a job and a husband to feed. I am so pathetic. I came across a few of my old friends blogs, and sort of got the blogging itch again. I am just hoping that I can keep it up this time.
