Fall is Here!
There are so many reasons that I love fall, and today I pulled out most of them. For one, it means that it soup season. We've already had our homemade corn chowder and have another soup on the menu for this week. Another great thing about fall? The Pot Roast.. mmm.
Roast isn't a meal that you can eat just the two of you so we had the Koch's over to indulge with us. To me it was a little dry but the carrots and corn bread made up for it. It was delish.. but after dinner we decided to put the kids in their Halloween costumes which are my FAVORITE part of the fall. I LOVE seeing little kids dressed up. So here are Emmy and Charlie in all their glory. The Hot Dog and the Catapillar.

Tu Tu Cute.
Guess who just hit 4 months? I absolutely can not believe how big she is getting. She is giggling, smiling, and talking up a storm. She has almost mastered the roll over, and is finally getting those sausage link creases that her daddy has been dying for her to get. She is almost too squirmy for me to get a good photo of her. She brings so much joy into our home.. we are just head over heals for her. Happy 4 months Emmy!

The Love of my Life

Two years ago I married my best friend. What a rock he has been for me. I can't quite put into words all of my feelings for Baker, or how much he means to me. Not a day goes by that I don't count my blessings, Baker being the biggest one in my life. He is the most amazing husband, and an even more amazing father. I just wish that I could convey that to him. Baker, you mean everything to me and these have been the best two years of my life. Thank you for all that you are, and all that you do for our family. I can't wait for the rest of our lives. I love you.
Please enjoy the pictures of our dating days and please disregard all the crazy hair!

Saturday. Provoday.
We visited Pete at work, had lunch with the Marsh's then met Pete back at his apartment to take these cute little pics of Em. I love her rosy cheeks.

A Long Time Coming.
I can't believe I am already home. Last week flew by so fast. I don't think a week was enough time spent with my sister and the girls.
Baker came out on Friday to meet with a few people from work, and also to go to Scott's wedding. Let me just tell you how excited I am that Bulardi finally got married. We couldn't be happier for him and don't think there is anyone more perfect for him then Colette.
We had dinner with the wedding party on Thursday night.. it was actually mine and Bakers first night away from Emmy at the same time. It was much needed! Thanks Becks for watching her.
The next morning was the sealing and I would have to say Hands Down the best sealing I have been to. The Sealer was Phenomenal. The reception was at the Salt Lake Hardware Building. It was amazing, and they served bubblegum ice cream in a waffle bowl. Does it get any better?

Wednesday my Favorite Day
So I fell in love yesterday, and thought Wednesday needed its own special post.
Rebecca and I have an old close friend that lives up here that we were meeting for lunch on Wednesday. Rebecca suggested that we meet her at one of her favorite spots that is right around the corner from our house. A little place called Gardner's Village. SO up and ready in the AM we head over there. Little did I know we would run into, hands down, my favorite spot to date.
Gardner's Village is a little shopping center made from old houses and cottages. They have the most amazing shopping I have ever experienced. Not your average clothes and shoe shopping, but home gear galore. I told my friend Regina that if I ever own a home I will drive to Utah just to shop here and furnish my home.
We started in the Bakery for lunch and had the best Chicken Salad Sandwich, and ended in the cutest candy shop for the girls. I seriously could go on and on about the antique shops, and the fall stores and everything. I didn't manage to buy a thing though. I was so enamored by it all I forgot.
It was an exceptionally cute place because during the Halloween season they decorate the place with 100 witches. Not your average witch on a stick, but the funniest witches you will ever see. My favorite was the Witchy-Poo. Oh I can't wait to go back.
Cindy Morphy I think you would die over this place. You and I could probably spend an entire day going shop to shop finding the best treasures. I smell a trip to visit Petey coming on with a special day for Gardner's Village. This is my friend Regina that we met. To put in to context how much I love her, we used to play Chubby Bunny and watch Jerry Springer. Classic.
This little white one was a very cute baby boutique. Loved everything in it, but could make it for like a quarter of the cost. I sense a project coming on.

Utah 1st Half
So here we are. It's almost Thursday and I can't believe my trip is more then halfway over. Ugh. I hate not living close to my sister. It has been soo much fun hanging, shopping, and doing nothing but vegging with her.
Little Bit (My new nickname for Emmy) did great on the plane, I only wished she would have slept. She flew like a champ and I couldn't have been more proud. Security was a nightmare though, but isn't that the norm baby or no baby?
Monday my sister took me and a couple of other girls out to lunch for her Pay-it-Forward award. Ironically I won a week or so ago and since I was coming to town she figured it would be better to go to lunch rather then send us all something. Olive Garden was on the menu and I don't remember liking it as much as I did on Monday prior to this. I was pleasantly surprised.
We spent the rest of the afternoon shopping and catching up. It was just what I needed. Emmy is loving her cousins too. I can't wait for her to be big enough to play with them. The girls have changed so much to me. Molly talks up a storm.. she pretty much copies everything anyone says, and now that Macy is grown up she says that she is going to be good everyday. I love it. My favorite word that Molly says right now is Empanada.. only it sounds like empannana.
Tuesday we met up with my mom to have lunch at take pictures of her and all her grandbabies. I got ready downstairs, my sister got ready upstairs and my mom got ready in Ogden, but we still all managed to show up in purple. Which was not planned. I was bummed because my camera ran out of batteries and I didn't get all the shots I had hoped for. We actually went through three cameras and there batteries. We ended up at this place called Wheeler Farms which was gorgeous. I love it there.

I love this last one of my sister. As long as I have known her she has been a big poser. Her adult years are nothing different. If I could crop me out of the photo I would.
I am loving being here so far and can't wait to post about my day today.. which I will do tomorrow. And just so you know Baker.. Emmy and I really miss you.
