KK Birthday and Christmas!

We had such a great time with our family celebrating KK's birthday and Christmas. It was very busy, but super fun.  KK got a lot of fun toys and clothes. She was very spoiled by her grandparents :)  We made our first fondant cake and had a lot of help from our friend Kate while she was here visiting, so thank you Kate! We did a white and funfetti cake with a vanilla filling. I was worried it would taste like crap because we put way more work into the decorating than we did the inside...but it turned out pretty good, I was very relieved because we had a lot of people to feed :)

We took KK to go see Santa and as you would expect...she hated it. At first she just kind of looked at him and it was really cute, but of course I couldn't get my camera working fast enough.

For Christmas, Tim and I got each other a Kinect for Xbox and Tim got me the Zumba game...I've done it twice already it's so much fun...but my calves are paying the price!!!

My mom and Jay got us a carpet cleaner that is THE BOMB!!! I did nothing yesterday but clean my carpet!! I love love love it!  That's how you know your old and boring...when you get this excited about cleaning carpets!

My dad and Holly got us some emergency kits for our cars and this really awesome DVD that has a ton of church videos and church history stories. We already watched a few and love it.

KK's new favorite thing is to stick her tongue out, so we had to get a family photo like that for Christmas.

Thanks to my father in law for my first pair of skinny jeans....I only wear them around the house right now....I'm warming up to the idea of wearing them in public.

My mother in law got me some money for a snowboarding helmet....she said it was due to the concussion I got a couple of weeks ago when I got cocky and ate it pretty good on our last run snowboarding.

We had a great Christmas and we are so grateful. We had many chances to remember the true meaning of Christmas, especially when my mom asked Tim to give a short lesson on the Savior at her house on Christmas eve.  The spirit was so strong, it really brought us together as a family. I'm grateful for the true meaning of Christmas and the time we have had to reflect on our relationship with our Savior.

One Year Old

We had the chance to get some 1 year old pictures done by a friend and she did such a great job! Thanks Brittany! These pics are great!

I can't believe she is 1 year already! This last year has gone by so fast. A few fun memories of Kayla we have are:
- At a few weeks old when she launched a huge squirt of poop all over me.
- 4 months old when I thought she wasn't breathing and we called 911 :) that was embarrassing.
- I put her on the bed at my dad's and turned around to grab a diaper and she fell off and face planted flat onto the floor.
- How she grooves to the music whenever we turn it on.
- She always pats us on the back when we pick her up.
- How she follows Champ around and laughs because she thinks he is following her.
- Her first word is "NO"

Love you KK!

Thanksgiving

Holly bought Jojo and KK matching outfits so we had to take some pics of them together. Also included is a super cute moment between Macey and KK while we were outside watching our version of a turkey bowl in dad's backyard.  And then...

Kayla went to her first movie where she sat in her own seat. It was sooo cute, the picture is blurry because it was taken with my phone, but as you can see from Kayla's chocolate filled mouth...she had a great time. We saw Tangled, it was super cute!

We also went on a walk and I had to take a pic of Macey and Connor because they are getting so cute and so big. Connor and Holly raced to the rock behind the kids and although Connor ran out of steam half way, he's still a winner to us :)

We also made ginger bread houses! Really they were graham cracker houses, but still just as fun. Mine is the first one, with Champ at the top of the picture (made of pretzels), including some of his "presents" in the yard (not to scale obviously, I don't know of any dog that has turds half the size of his body..and if you do, I'm sorry!)

Next up is Jess's house...a perfect tribute to the game Angry Birds! In the house you will see the pigs and to the left the birds lined up and ready to rock in their pretzel catapult! Love that game!

And last but not least was a super cute pic I found of the girls when they were swapping binki's!

We had so much fun, I can't wait until our next trip to Grandpa Paul's and Grandma Holly's!

Happy Halloween

Finally I have a chance to update with our Halloween pics.  Tim and I went to Tim's brother's Halloween party and it was a blast...and we won 3rd place in the costume contest!  You have to look at what my shirt says to get who we are ;)...and yes we sprayed his hair black and I drew that tatoo on his arm with a dry erase marker in the car on the way to the party....he he he, by far my favorite of our costumes.  We chose the Piglet costume for KK this year (thanks sis for letting us borrow it!), but as you can see, she would have made a great Dopey as well :) We took her to the trunk or treat event at the church but we didn't take her out trick or treating for multiple reasons...the main reason being that it's painfully obvious who's really going to eat all of the candy she's collecting...since she only has 2 teeth still!

Belated

So, I just found a bunch of pics from this summers activities that I haven't had time to post. So here are some of the highlights. We went to the Olathe corn festival with my dad and Holly and Jess and Ry, that was WAY fun with all you can eat sweet corn! We also had a 24th celebration with Tim's fam. that was SUPER fun as well. Enjoy!

GO UTES!

We got to go to the Utah Vs. Pitt game with T and his friend B on Thursday night. It was the BEST game!!! Not only because they won...but because it was so intense the whole time! We were jumping up and down and yelling and being crazy...it was a blast. Thanks for inviting us Tys!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO TIM!

We had a 90's theme birthday party for Tim. We had everyone dress in 90's garb. We were dressed as contestants from Supermarket Sweep! Tim made our sweaters with iron on's! For those of you who don't know what Supermarket Sweep is, it was a game show in the 90's that we thought EVERYONE knew about...turns out it wasn't as well known as we thought because there were only about 6 people at the party that knew what it was! We also had a few trivia games like , Name That Tune, and Name That Movie. We discovered that there are SOOOOOOO many good songs from the 90's that we had forgotten about, so I have added just a couple of my favorites to my playlist for our blog:)

We had a lot of fun, thanks to everyone that made it and a HUGE thanks to Angelle and Sarah for helping with all the prep.

Then the next day we went rock climbing with Sam and Heidi, and then ended the night with Tim going to watch the fights with the boys and Heidi and I got to go see Eat, Pray, Love...I loved it, so cute!

My mom took Kayla all weekend for us, THANKS MOM, JAY AND KIDS! So, we were able to do a lot of fun things without having to worry about a babysitter.
