We had such a great time with our family celebrating KK's birthday and Christmas. It was very busy, but super fun. KK got a lot of fun toys and clothes. She was very spoiled by her grandparents :) We made our first fondant cake and had a lot of help from our friend Kate while she was here visiting, so thank you Kate! We did a white and funfetti cake with a vanilla filling. I was worried it would taste like crap because we put way more work into the decorating than we did the inside...but it turned out pretty good, I was very relieved because we had a lot of people to feed :)
We took KK to go see Santa and as you would expect...she hated it. At first she just kind of looked at him and it was really cute, but of course I couldn't get my camera working fast enough.
For Christmas, Tim and I got each other a Kinect for Xbox and Tim got me the Zumba game...I've done it twice already it's so much fun...but my calves are paying the price!!!
My mom and Jay got us a carpet cleaner that is THE BOMB!!! I did nothing yesterday but clean my carpet!! I love love love it! That's how you know your old and boring...when you get this excited about cleaning carpets!
My dad and Holly got us some emergency kits for our cars and this really awesome DVD that has a ton of church videos and church history stories. We already watched a few and love it.
KK's new favorite thing is to stick her tongue out, so we had to get a family photo like that for Christmas.
Thanks to my father in law for my first pair of skinny jeans....I only wear them around the house right now....I'm warming up to the idea of wearing them in public.
My mother in law got me some money for a snowboarding helmet....she said it was due to the concussion I got a couple of weeks ago when I got cocky and ate it pretty good on our last run snowboarding.
We had a great Christmas and we are so grateful. We had many chances to remember the true meaning of Christmas, especially when my mom asked Tim to give a short lesson on the Savior at her house on Christmas eve. The spirit was so strong, it really brought us together as a family. I'm grateful for the true meaning of Christmas and the time we have had to reflect on our relationship with our Savior.
