Okay, 2 posts in a week. What have I become?
This was the funniest thing I have ever seen, so of course I had to post it. I think I could watch this a million times and never get bored!

Healthcare and Free Cars
There has been a lot of talk about this "free" healthcare.
I wanted to get some thoughts down about it as it has been weighing on my mind.
I was talking to a friend today and she said that these little battles are just like the war in Heaven being played out on Earth. I really liked that analogy. Satan is pulling at us with false promises of safety and security, while everyone else is fighting for our freedom to choose.
She also made a point that we should be reliant on our Father in Heaven and our Savior for all of our needs. Not the government. They cannot provide what God can, and they never will be able to.
I heard someone say this week "No one has a right to someone else's labor". I think that that is the most eloquent way to put it.
Aren't those who are opposed to it just heartless, mindless drones?
I want to take a little bit of a different look at it.
I want you to imagine that you are out on the street and someone you don't know comes up to you and hands you a set of keys saying, "Here! You looked like you needed a brand-new car." To which you reply "No thanks, I already have one."
The other person is really insistent, they are just trying to help you they say. You wouldn't even have to drive the car, they say.
You start to think "Hmmmmmm....a nice brand new car. That really might be nice. Maybe the kids could drive it when they get older. We could sell it and use the money". But as you continue thinking it over, common sense kicks in and you start to wonder "What's the catch?" and "Why do they not want the car". So you ask the person to which they respond "Oh, there is no catch...I don't want this car ...I just want to share the wealth.".
Most of us would just think this person is a loon and not take the keys to the car knowing full well that nothing is really for free. We all know that there is a catch down the line. Maybe the car isn't really that great, maybe it is broken down, maybe it is really stolen.
Now compare this to "free" anything that the government gives us. It never is really free. There is always someone else that has to pay for it, work for someone else's free lunch. What really boggles my mind is that people are willing to give up some freedom for security. We are really heading into dangerous ground when we do this.
Why are people not asking "What's the catch?"
We need to stand up and fight for our freedoms!
I have to admit I have felt a bit defeated by this bill passing. It has been incomprehensible to me that the government would blatently ignore the will of the people and that some people are a-okay with a bill taking away someone's RIGHT to CHOOSE.
But I have seen some things that have been encouraging. People are not okay with this and I think we can beat this!
As most of you know, I am not a big blogger. I just don't think people are that interested in my life. But this time I have a purpose in writing.
I think that if you can, you should become as involved in the election process as you can. No matter what your views. And it doesn't have to be big. Just become aware of what you will be voting for and who you will be voting for. What they stand for, who they are, what they have done to prove themselves worthy to serve. What certain things mean for our country and how future laws will affect us down the line. Just a little more thoughtful.
As I mentioned before, we are fighting a war. We may lose some battles, but we can and will definitely win the war...if we keep God's commandments and follow His will.
