Thanksgiving

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving break.... minus the HORRIBLE weather traveling from Idaho to Utah and back. It was The Hansen Family Turn for Thanksgiving this year. We trade every year with the In-laws. We had my whole side of the family there except for Jake and Emma and their Adorable boys. :( The food was DIVINE (Of Course). But being with Family was the best part. It has been a tradition to make Ginger Bread Houses on thanksgiving with the Hansen's. This is how our House turned out. I think we might make our future home look just like this someday. :)

For Family home Evening on monday we talked about the true meaning of Christmas then set up our Christmas tree. It was so fun this year for Aubrey to help. Still amazes me how much she has grown and how fast time goes by.

October Happenings

We had a fun filled October. Aubrey only goes to school twice a week in the mornings so I tried to keep us busy as much as possible. This year we grew pumpkins again. We got SO Many pumpkins this year. It was fun to pick out our own pumpkins to carve and paint. Here are just some of the few pictures of what we have been up to.

Aubrey's Singing Debut

At the fair yesterday we were walking towards the rides when a lady at the music stage announced that they were starting Karaoke singing. I "Jokingly" asked Aubrey if she wanted to go up and sing a Journey song and she jumped up and down squealing in excitement saying yes, yes, yes. I explained to her that she would be singing in front of all the people sitting on the bleachers and that didn't bother her at all. But she would only go up if I went up with her. The video is long, but the best part is about the last half of the video. She plays the "Air Guitar" and sings "Any way you want it thats the way you need it any way you want it.......Ohohohohhoooooooo".

Fun At The Fair

For 4 years now it has been a tradition to go to the Eastern Idaho State Fair MULTIPLE times while it is here. We love the food, the rides, all the Different looking people, and just being with Family and Friends. The fair is a week long. We get Aubrey a "Ride Bracelet" one time during the week. The bracelet allows you to ride ANY ride as many times as you want. Last year we got Aubrey a bracelet and she Did NOT ride any rides. Not a single one. Yesterday was Bracelet day and Aubrey went with her friends in the afternoon to get some early rides in. She only would ride a couple of rides. I went back with her in the evening and paid to ride a couple of rides with her to show her that they are not scary. SHE LOVED EVERY SECOND OF THE RIDES. This girl no longer has a fear. Thank you Shannon for letting Aubrey tag along with you. She had so much fun with Shaylee, Candon, Cash and Olivia. What fun memories she had made.

A friend of mine has a little girl who is a Type 1 Diabetic. She was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when she was 4 years old. You can read her Amazing story HERE. Prepping for the 4th

Aubrey, Shaylee and I decided we needed a toenail and fingernail polish change. Perfect timing to go go crazy for the 4th. I though they turned out SOOO CUTE.

Daddy Daughter Date

When I was a little girl it was tradition to go on a Daddy Daughter Date with our Dad when we had a Birthday. (The boys went on a date with my mom for their Birthdays :)) When Aubrey turned 4 we decided that she was old enough to start that tradition with our little family. Aubrey chose to go to The Homestead for dinner (A local "Mom and Pop" restaurant) and then went to see Shrek 3. She loved every minute of it. (It a nice little break for me too) I can't believe that 4 years have gone by already. She is growing so fast. LITERALLY. People always ask her if she is going into 1st or 2nd grade. Nope. She will be starting Pre- School in August.

The Spelling Game

Ever since Aubrey was a little girl Jonathan and I would "SPELL" words during our conversations so she couldn't understand what we were talking about. We would say things like : "I think it's time to put Aubrey to B-E-D" or "For Christmas I think we should get her a new B-I-K-E" and so on.

Lately she has loved learning more about the A-B-C's and what they sound like. We have little magnet letters on our fridge and when you put a letter into the Leap Frog Station it says the letter and what it sounds like. She can now find the letters on the fridge and spell her name. She will often ask me how to spell words like CAT, DOG, MOM, DAD etc.

Today Aubrey and I were at Wal-Mart and as we were walking around she said "Mom, I am getting so tired. I think I need to take a L-R-T". I asked her again what she said and she said, "I need to take an L-R-T". I asked her is she was spelling NAP. She said, "You always spell things when I need to go to bed. I giggled and told her how to spell NAP.

I love watching her LEARN. She comes up with such silly questions on why/how things are the way they are. She will be starting Pre-School in August. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. She is growing up way too fast. I Love this little girl :)

Get Ready To Dance

Today Aubrey had Pictures at her Dance Studio. It took almost 2 hours to get her ready. Hair had to be PERFECT: Hair high on her head in a Pony Tail with Hair in tight Curls. Hair Slicked Back with NO FLY-AWAYS. Make-up had to be PERFECT: Eye Shadow, Eye Liner, Mascara, Blush, Lip Gloss. After all was said and done she looked.......PERFECT. Now I have to achieve this look 3 MORE TIMES. Wish me good luck.

Easter 2010

Easter was great this year. Great food, Great Company, Great Games. We woke up to see that the Easter Bunny had visited. Then after church we went to the Packers to have Easter Dinner. YUMMY. This was the first year we did an Easter Egg Smash. Jonathan's brother Michael won. Can't believe that the next holiday will be 4th of July. Before we know it, it will be Easter again. Time sure does fly by.

4 Years Old

Aubrey turned 4 Years old yesterday. She said it was her best Birthday EVER. :) She woke up to some Balloons from Daddy and an outfit from Mom and her very own box of Cereal, CHOCOLATE CHEERIOS. Then we got ready for her birthday party with friends. We played games, ate pizza, hit a Pinata, ate cupcakes, and opened presents. Then we had family come over and opened some MORE presents. She of course was spoiled. She got a new BIKE, Bean bag chair (Grandma and Grandpa Packer made it), New clothes, Games, and Movies. Then we took her to see "How to Train You're Dragon". It was really cute. She got her very own GIANT tub of popcorn and ate the whole thing. After the movie had some cake and ice cream. And I did make the cake, All By Myself. Thank you everyone, Friends and Family, for making Aubrey's Birthday such a special day.
