sick boy

Last weekend Jacob was sick. He had a temperature, and that was really his only symptom. The doctor said he had a virus that just needed to run its' coarse. Our little Jacob is such a trooper and even when he's sick he still manages to be a happy boy. Poor guy's temperature reached 105 at one point which made both Vincent and I so very nervous. I hate fevers, but anything past 102 freaks me out. Luckily we were able to get his fever down right away and soon after he was on his way back to good health.
Jacob is such a daddy's boy. Yes, he loves me with all his heart and he showers me with love all the time, and I couldnt be happier or more proud of the bond Jacob & I share...but daddy definitely holds a special place in his heart. And I love it that way. Watching the two of them together brings me so much joy. I love that they have their "basketball time" where they shoot hoops together in Jacobs room... I love that they usually wake up before Ella & I and they enjoy breakfast w/cartoons together... I love that when Jacob hears the front door open he squeals like a piggie calling out "DADDY, DADDY!!!"... I love that the two of them share a special bond that no one can touch.
I am forgetting my original point now :) but it had something to do with even though Jacob is definitely a daddy's boy...when he was sick all he wanted was mommy!!! :) Our princess & prince watching morning cartoons while enjoying yummy suckers!

best of friends they'll always be...

These two melt my heart on a daily basis. I love them both so much; they mean the world to me. When I see them playing like this it makes me the happiest mommy in the world! Both Ella & Jacob love Ella's room. In their opinion it's the coolest room of the house. They always want to play in it...mostly to jump on her bed. We were all in our loft the other day and both kids went running into Ella's room to play, I heard Ella ask Jacob if he wanted her to read to him...so I peeked around the corner and saw this...Jacob sitting on Ella's lap as she read him a book! Then she helped him peel stickers off a book to put them on the different pages...

...Jacob is so lucky to have such an awesome big sister who loves him so much!

Official Tumbler!

Ella took a tumbling class for a month and I think we discovered a new pasison for her. I signed her up for a 4 week tumbling class that I purchased on a deal website for $15...the best $15 I've spent in a long time! Ella and her friend Sophia took the class together and both had the best time! On the last day all the kids got a ribbon that said they did an AWESOME job! Ella was so proud of herself and carried the ribbon around the house with her all day! Mommy was so proud of her too! :)

A ladybug & A dinosaur

Ella & Jacob were so excited when they opened the package at our front door and learned that there were matching raincoats and rainboots inside!

Ella's was a ladybug set! Ella is definitely into bugs lately...she will tell you she loves ALL bugs except spiders, bumblee bees, red ants and mosquitos. (because those bugs bite and sting). :) But all the other bugs she tries to catch and play with. She plays in the water with beetles at our communtiy pool (yuck); catches black ants and lets them crawl on her arms and also feeds them apples; gathers all the snails that roam our frontyard at night; tries to catch butterflies, moths and grasshoppers-but has yet to catch one; and catches ladybugs and holds them in her hands. (she definitely didn't get her love for bugs from me!) Her favorite bug is definitely the ladybug! So you can imagine her face light up when she saw her beautiful ladybug rainset!

Jacob got a dinosaur raincoat and rainboots! When he pulled his boots out he starting roaring like a dinosaur! That meant he was definitely excited! He loves his rainboots...but for some reason he is terrified of his raincoat. Everytime I tried to put it on him he starting crying and backing away...but he likes to look at his raincoat from afar and growl/roar at it! Too funny!

Thank you Grandma & Grandpa for our rainsets!!!

lovies

Ella & KenzVincent and I have begun attending church with the kids. This past Sunday the church had a beach bash that Jaimie and I took our kids to. It was a great time-the kids enjoyed the bouncehouse, balloons and squirt guns...followed by dinner, dancing and ice-cream!

the beach, the beach, the beach

Everytime we go to the beach, both kids sing "the beach" song on the drive. It will never get old...Ella sings, "The beach, the beach, the beach...we're going to the beach, the beach, the beach." -while jacob hums the tune since he can't quite say it as fast as Ella. :)
Thankfully we have a beach town super close to where we live, so we can visit it often! The beach is one of my easiest places to take the kids...they are so content and happy there. I love laying on a blanket listening to my kids giggles with the wind, water and seagulls making noise in the background...it is so peaceful! Our little poser-Jacob.

Our Puffer Fish-Ella (this is her new favorite pose for the camera!)

Father/Son moment...
