Baby on board

Baby #3,
We can barely wait to meet you! Will you be a boy or a girl?!! Will you have dark hair or light hair? Will you look like mommy or daddy? We cannot wait to find out!
Ella is really hoping for a girl and Jacob keeps changing his mind on whether he wants a brother or a sister. Whether we find out you are a boy or a girl... Ella and Jacob are going to love you to pieces. Infact they already do!!! :) Ella tells me how she cannot wait to have another sibling and that she really wants to help out with the baby. She wants to help with everything BUT the dirty diapers-smart girl.
Today I had my 15 week doctors appointment. Our doctor said everything looks great. Vincent and I brought Jacob with us to the appointment (Ella was in school). Since today is Halloween Jacob wanted to show our doctor his halloween costume so he came to my appointment dressed as Toad from Super Mario Brothers! Jacob was originally going to be Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates... but when I saw this Toad costume at the party store yesterday I had to buy it for Jacob. He is obsessed with Super Mario Brothers, and Blue Toad is his favorite character. Everyday he asks to watch Super Mario on the ipad; to play super mario on the Wii; to have me tell him a bedtime story about super mario; to put clothes on him that blue toad would wear; etc... I am not quite sure how this fascination came about or why, but it is super cute watching how excited he gets when I tell Super Mario stories to him! Or even better, when Ella tells him Super Mario stories!
He told the doctor all about how he loves blue toad and how he can't wait to trick or treat and eat candy tonight. And how he wants the doctor to bring him the baby out of my belly so he can hold it. And how his toad hat was itching his head. I was so impressed with his vocabulary and how well he was communicating with my doctor. It seems like overnight he has grown up so much and turned into a big boy right before my eyes. Both my beautiful babies really aren't babies anymore... they are these incredibly bright, beautiful amazing big kids who I couldn't be more proud of.
Last week we had family pictures taken by our friend Melissa. She took beautiful pictures of us which I will post soon. But two of the pictures I thought were perfect for this post!
Proud sister and brother are waiting for you baby #3!!

dance, dance, dance!

Legacy Fall Festival

On Saturday Ella's school had their annual Fall Festival. Ella decided she wanted to dress up as wedding Rapunzel and Jacob was Jake from The Neverland Pirates. Despite it being in the high 80's last weekend (my body cannot handle this weather lately) we all had a wonderful time together! Ella and Jacob played in the bounce houses/slides; had her face painted; played games; ate lunch and yummy cotton candy and enjoyed running into some of her wonderful friends and teachers!

Boo at the Zoo!

Our second year in a row going to Boo at the Zoo! Just as great as the first! Ella decided to dress up as Alice and Jacob was Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. We enjoyed an awesome evening at the zoo trick or treating; decorating pumpkins; listening to Mother Goose read Halloween stories; taking pictures with princesses; playing games and winning prizes; drinking hot chocolate and dancing the night away! A wonderful evening to remember always!

on our way to the santa barbara zoo...

The kids were soooo excited to head to the Santa Barbara Zoo for a ton of fun at Boo at the Zoo on Friday!

My beautiful dancer

Everyday her love for dancing continues to grow. I think she would dance 24/7 if she could. :)

Spirit Day at school!

Friday was school spirit day at Ella's school. Kindergarteners were supposed to wear yellow to show their school spirit. Ella and her girlfriends rockin' the yellow!

We are beyond excited to announce...

Vincent, Ella, Jacob and I are so excited to announce that our family of four will become a family of five in April! Ella is the most amazing big sister that I could ever ask for to Jacob, so I just know that she is going to be equally amazing when our new baby arrives. Jacob cannot wait to become a big brother. He has such a wonderful example in Ella of how an older sibling loves and helps take care of a younger sibling, so I know he is going to be great as well in his role as big brother!

Vincent's birthday

Vincent's birthday was October 13th so the kids took him to ChuckECheese to celebrate. Afterwards we had cake at home and sang happy birthday.

Hart H.S. Show Choir Fundraiser

I signed Ella up for a kids clinic at a local high school with two of her friends, Kailey and Kai-Lynn. And when we got there we saw that Ella's other friend, Cora was also participating in the show! Ella loves her friends and loves every minute she gets to spend with them. This clinic was a kids choir that lasted for 3 hours and included learning a show choir routine with singing and dancing. At the end of the 3 hours the kids then performed their routine for all of the adults. This is right up Ella's alley... she LOVES both singing and dancing. She takes dance classes weekly, but due to her already busy schedule with school and her other activities, I haven't been able to put her back in a singing class for the past few months... So this was perfect because she got to sing!!! I will probably say this about everything she and Jacob do... but I was such a proud mommy watching her up on stage. She was having so much fun. I am always so impressed with her eagerness to try new things. They performed It's a Hard Knock Life from the movie Annie. Ella was in the front row singing and dancing her little toosh off! She LOVED every single minute of it and had the smile to prove it! Afterwards she came up to me and immediately told me she wanted to do it again! She loves the stage and she can't wait until her dance recital when she gets to go up on the stage again! (This H.S. is also where Ella's dance studio has their recitals).
