At the kids Elementary School they had a Boosterthon Fun Run to raise money for the school. Natalie and Amanda and I went to cheer them on. Taylor is in the middle getting ready to start.
She jogged more than I thought she would. She did a great job.
She did enjoy a leisurely stroll at times too :-)
She ended up doing 28 laps which was a little under 2 miles in I think 30 minutes.
Here is Nathan starting the fun run. His was at 2 in the afternoon and it was pretty warm that day. I brought a squirt bottle and sprayed him in the face along with any other kid that came up to me. This deed got a response of Nathan of "Mom you didn't embarrass me at all when you came. My friends thought you were cool for spraying them." (No pun intended and yes I have entered the stage of risking embarrasing my kids in public :-)
Nathan completed his max laps about half way through so he just walked the rest of the time.
Natalie even joined in with a friend of Nathans who is also in the ward. Her name is Amanda.
Nathan during the official cool down lap. Sporting the cool shades.

Nathan class posing after the fun run was over.

Taylor's class raised so much money they earned a crazy hair day. We had fun with that.
In April I did a garage sale to get rid of all my baby gear and raise money for the Susan G Komen 3 day walk that I am participating in this November. Taylor did a lemonade/cookie stand during the yard sale with her friend Grace.
Natalie's preschool class went on a field trip to the Phoenix Zoo.
Natalie was so excited to carry a lunch box so we packed her lunch and she carried it almost the whole time.
Amanda took a nap during the field trip.
Natalie being a little monkey while checking out the babboons. :-)
This April I turned the ripe old age of 35. Still can't really believe it. The Sunday before my birthday my Mom had us over for Sunday dinner where I picked the menu. She also picked these beautiful roses for the centerpiece from her rose bushes. Reminded me of my wonderful Grandpa Johnson and his beautiful roses. I remember one time as a teenager I was sick and he picked me some roses and brought them to me to wish me well. I sure do love and miss that amazing man.
Birtdhay morning Preston made me waffles with strawberries and cool whip along with a smoothie that didn't have any spinach in it :-) Usually it does but I was living on the wild side for my birthday :-)
Preston worked for a couple of hours and then met me for lunch at Joe's BBQ we couldn't stay to eat because I needed to pick Natalie up from speech therapy. We got it to go and enjoyed it at home together. The kids had a half day at school that day so after lunch we went to the movie OZ The Great and Powerful as a family.
That night Preston made fajitas for dinner and we had a yummy lemon cake from Costco :-) Then presents with my Mom and Sister. It was Wonderful celebrating my birthday. I really felt special and loved.
