Around the House

We haven't been too exciting recently. We were supposed to have a fun weekend with Chris's sister and kids visiting and going to Six Flags but that all fell through. I think I am the most sad of anyone that we didn't get to go! Instead we kept our babysitter and took Elliott to see Monsters V Aliens in 3D. It was really cool. At least Chris and I thought so. E enjoyed wearing the glassed for about 10 minutes then she was done with it. Not at all impressed with the 3D.

Elliott has been keeping me crazy by changing clothes as many as 5 times a day. Today she had a complete meltdown about a little pigtail that was apparently too high. Boy am I getting paid back for some things now. My mom says she never wished the way I acted as a kid on me for my kids. I will go on the record now as saying I hope Elliott gets a child that acts exactly like this! I will laugh and laugh and laugh.

Here is a conversation from the other night
E: I will not be like you when I grow up
Me: What kind of things do I do that you won't do?
E:Vacuum
Me: What else?
E: Mop
Me: Who will vacuum and mop your house then?
E: you

Here's B in her highchair wondering why I have to take pictures all the time. E was having fun mixing water with food color in it to see what colors she could make. She enjoyed making nasty black water the most.
B is talking on the phone here, you can't see it. She was cracking me up because every time I handed the phone back to her she would open her mouth like this.
E doing flips in her chair. B now tries to also do flips in the chair.
E thought this Hokey Poky Elmo was so cool at our friends house. She wanted to hold onto him while he sang and got very mad when he fell down.

Museums

We tried out some museums recently. At the beginning of the month we went to the Dallas museum of Nature and Science. It was really fun and E has been talking about it ever since we went and asking to go back. Notice somehow I managed to convince her that she needed to wear pants since it was so cold?? I don't know how I did it to this day.We went to the planetarium while we were there. Elliott thought it was very boring. In her defense even Chris thought it was boring and we left before we got to see all the star stuff. Next time we'll go just for the sky part and not the movie part too. Every time she talks about the museum she adds- "and that movie was soooo boring."Here she is digging for dinosaur bones. It was really cute how they had it set up.They had an awesome kids area downstairs and she got to milk a cow and all kinds of other fun stuff. Here she is making huge bubbles.Since she enjoyed all that so much I took them to the Cowgirl Museum in Ft Worth today. Our Nature and Science museum is being rebuilt so they have a small kids area there. We weren't allowed to take any pictures upstairs in the exhibits. They got to ride a big horse that made an old time video of them like they were at the rodeo. It was so cute! Once Elliott heard they were going to the cowgirl museum she insisted that they both needed to be wearing skirts with boots. She realized halfway there that I didn't have any cowgirl clothes on, but decided that I could still accompany them anyway. What a gem.

Here is B pushing her cart around the Grocery Area. She thought she was so big! Here's little Miss Thang. Berkley spent so much time putting food in her cart, if she'd drop one she'd say "uh oh" and get down and grab it to put it back in. She just looked so cute! The front view
Here's E checking out and B still shopping
E the backwards construction worker. I didn't tell her to pose like this, that's just how big of a diva she is ;

Spring Break- Lots and Lots of Pictures

We've had a laid back week. It was nice not having anywhere to be all week. We didn't have any plans so the girls and I came up with lots of things to do.

Here is Berkley on the Morning of her Bday with her St Patrick's Headpiece eating some Lucky Charms
We had soccer practice that night. She had fun playing on a big blanket with her toys. Wearing her adorable shamrock dress that Grammy and Papa got her.
Wednesday we went to the park for a picnic. They both really enjoyed the ducks, but we didn't really get to feed them since the park was so busy I think the ducks had been eating very well and weren't very interested in our stale bread.
B thinks she is so big, she is constantly stealing things from her sister. She scored a juice box and wouldn't give it up.
Today I took the girls to Little Gym for free play time. Elliott loved it. She did the big balance beam all by herself!
Here are my sweet girls.
B enjoyed standing up and holding the bar while E flipped all around. She's really figured that out now. It's so fun to watch!
Sweet Berkley watching all the big kids
Figuring out where to go next. I wish I had the video camera to capture her spider crawl it was hilarious, she was all over the place so fast.
E was shaking her tail feather for me
E has gotten brave enough to flip herself all the way over the bar. At first she wasn't holding on and just falling flat on her back. Luckily the mat is so soft, she thought it was pretty fun. Nice Landing E!
Here is where she turned into a pro about it.
Made it all the way over holding on!
Such a little gymnast. She'll be mommys circus girl someday!

Happy Birthday Berkley Mae!

Its hard to believe that just a year ago we were anxiously awaiting meeting our sweet girl and now we don't know what we did before she was here! I can't remember what we did when we only had one kid. Seems like we had it pretty easy! Berkley has added so much fun and joy to our already wonderful lives. A few things about Berkley now
She can say mama, dada, shoe, hi, do(for dog)
She pulls up and loves to cruise around
She can crawl at lightening speed using her "Spider Crawl" but she can crawl regular too
She is possibly going to be a biter. She thinks it is really funny to bite.
She has a happy easy going personality
She thinks baby sign language is stupid and refuses to participate
She Loves dogs and cats
She enjoys throwing food on the floor for mommy to pick up
She loves baby food vegetables but not fruit. weirdo.
She loves to be carried around and reaches her arms out to anyone
She loves attention and thinks wherever we go people are there to smile at her and say hi to her

Happy First Birthday little Mae Mae we love you so much!

The Big Birthday Party

We celebrated B's first birthday on Saturday. We had a great time, my family and a couple of our friends were able to make it. We missed Chris's side of the family! Nanny was sick and Brandy was moving so they had to miss the party AND they weren't having any fun of their own! We had a St Patricks Day theme since that is her actual birthday. I've been planning on this since the day she was born.

She didn't want to keep her headband on so we stuck it on her head....I had such high hopes for a bow in the hair on her first birthday, no such luck.
Here she is with Grammy
Here she is with Papa and her cake
The family. They always look surly when I want to get a family picture.
Here are her cakes. I was so happy with how they turned out!
She cried when we sang happy birthday. Just like E did.
She enjoyed her cake. She just ate a lot of icing off. Didn't get too messy either.
The whole Stutler side of the family

Here are the girls with Madilyn and Emily Kate. I took about 80 pictures of it, they were not cooperating :-)

Happy Birthday Grammy and Papa!

March is filled with birthdays for us. Nanny's birthday is the 3rd. Papa's is the 9th. Grammy's is the 13th. Berkley's is the 17th. Busy busy for us, and it means lots of cake which is wonderful! We went over for our friends little girls party. Coincidentally their girls Bdays are on the 3rd and 9th so always easy for us to remember. Madilyn was turning 4 and had a princess party. It was so cute! It took a lot of coercion to get E to participate in the festivities. They all put on princess costumes (took forever to get E to take off her new dress to put one on), got their hair done(not E of course), makeup, nails and made necklaces. Then they had an adorable little fashion show. The runway got shorter as each girl came out. It was adorable! I'd love to do a party like that for E but I guess we have to wait a couple years and see if she comes out of her fashion funk with her hair.

Here she is getting her nails done
Here is the start of the fashion show. The girls were sooo cute all dressed up!Here is E working her magic on the runwayE and DaddyThe girls sang happy birthday to Grammy and Papa
E was sporting a nice chocolate goatee after grubbing on her cakePapa made B her own goatee. She looked so cute and made such a mess!
