Around the house

I know people won't believe me when I say that I haven't been taking many pictures lately. I really haven't though! I do have a few stored up on the camera that I need to download. Maybe its because my shutterfly book for Jan-April had 92 pages in it and I realized I needed to calm down. Who knows?

To catch up on our wonderful life....Berkley is walking everywhere now! She does the very cautious Frankenstein walk and will drop to her bottom and resort to full on spider crawl if she's in a hurry, but she's really doing great now! She is enjoying her new found freedom and having fun at the park, she really likes the slide but can't bear to let go of the edge to go down. She's also been practicing her forward rolls, so that she is ready for gymnastics in the fall :-)
She also plans on being the worlds youngest photographer.
The girls are also playing a lot together. They love to play doctor and babies. Berkley thinks Elliott is the funniest person ever. She enjoys trying to scratch her and pull her hair....I'm wondering if Aunt Amanda has been giving her lessons on the side ;-)Elliott is turning into such a big kid now. She loves to answer the phone and will talk off anyones ear until I ask for the phone. She can't decide what she wants to do for her birthday party. She changes her mind everyday so I'm hesitant to plan something to have her get mad and say that she wanted whichever party of the day is in her little head. I've told her she has a couple more days to think about it, then I'm going to need her final answer. She's been running into a little bit of trouble here and there for some sassy back talk. I have NO idea where she possibly would have gotten that gene. Here are a couple pics I took of them at the botanic gardens last week with my friends.

Playdate with Cousin Rylee

Haven't posted in awhile, not a whole lot going on around here. Today Grammy, Aunt Amanda and Rylee made the trek over to our house to hang out. It was so nice hang out with them and not have to make the 2 hour round trip drive to do it. Thanks for coming guys!

These are all pictures Amanda took, sorry I beat you to posting, I tried to save some for ya ;-)

Here is an attempt at a pic of all three girls. Being rascals as usual. We headed down to the pool for a swim. E and B had fun driving the escalade down. E impressed us with her backing up skills. I asked her to park under a tree and she just reversed right under it. We came home for Rylee to have a bottle. E wanted to feed her and of course B found a bottle to get in on the action. Poor kid has a lot of years ahead of being mauled by these two.
Berkley liked giving Rylee her paci, she was saying "shhhh" to her too. Such a little mommy!

Random Pics

We had a busy weekend we were over at my parents house from Sat-Tues. Rylee was baptised and my grandpa and his friend Betty were in town. I didn't really take any pics, what got into me? I guess I was having too much fun!

I found this sunfower field over by my brothers. E and I went to take some pics in it. I didn't get anything too great, she was also being bossy about where she would stand. Here are the girls before we went swimming the other day. Elliott and Berkley were playing yesterday and E told B "You are the best little sister a girl could ask for" They are such sweet little friends I hope they always love each other like this. Another funny Elliott quote about what she's going to be when she grows up "An artist.....or a doctor.....or a witch" I love that being a witch is a viable option to her at this point! Here is B. She learned how to climb onto the furniture. She's pretty good about sitting when I tell her to. I like her pose here, such a little model. If only she'd do this in a pretty setting..... Here is proof of B the salsa eater.

Berkley 15 months

Girl is a piece of work that is for sure. I can't believe she's already 15 months old. It has all gone by so fast! Here are a few things about her right now
  • She still prefers crawling as her main mode of transportation. She gets excited about walking to us and does really well, when she wants to. You can't get her to walk if she doesn't want to, she'll just lift up her legs to her chin if you try to set her down.
  • She likes to dip things when she eats. At Chick Fil A she'll "dip" her nuggets into imaginary ketchup because she sees us do it. She also loooves salsa. Totally surprised us, we let her dip a chip thinking she'd hate it, but nope, cut to the end of the meal and her dress covered in salsa. Our kids dig some Mexican food.

  • She shakes her head or nods it in response to everything. I'm trying to get her to talk more. She screams when she wants something, or doesn't want something, or wants to do something. I usually know what she wants so I ask her. She either nods or shakes her head. I ask her to say no or yes, she just keeps shaking or nodding. I guess she communicates so well with that she feels no need to speak.

  • She talks we just don't understand too much of it right now. I know she's said a lot more words but consistantly she says "shoes" "dada" "dis" (for this) "shissy" "juice" tickletickletickle" and "daydey" (for baby) She even calls me "dada" I tell her no, say "mama" she'll look me right in the eye and say "dada" I've heard the kid say mama, she knows good and well who I am! Chris also thinks she says "giggity" (from family guy) but I'm not too sure about that one......

  • She says "MMMMMM" in this really high pitched voice whenever a food item appears that she wants.

  • She loves babies, purses, blocks, dogs, and combs

  • She's getting good at eating with a spoon now that I've found a bowl that sticks to the highchair that she can't throw. I wasn't brave enough to try before that!

  • She has the most infectious laugh ever. I love when I find something that cracks her up, but I totally wear it out until its not funny anymore.....

  • She's becoming quite a climber. She loves to climb up on "shissy's" stools. She also can get up on the automan. Most other things I just hear her screaming with one leg way up on top of it unable to get herself up or pull the leg down.

  • She loves to hold my gym card and hand it to the lady behind the desk, wait to get it back and grab it

  • There are tons and tons more but those are most of the highlights I think

Hanging Out

Here are a few pics from hanging around the house today. I'm supposed to be cleaning. Between the girls and procrastination not much has gotten done yet. Its a good day for housework though since its pouring rain and we can't leave the house.

Here is E rocking her baby to sleep. She's so sweet, she turns on the music, the fan and the nightlight and puts her baby in her little bed/drawer. Such a little mommy.I got out cool whip and food coloring for the girls because I thought it would entertain them for awhile while I cleaned the kitchen. Try 10 minutes. Then I had another mess. Oh well, fun while it lasted.

Poor Dorian hasn't been feeling well lately. We took him to the vet and found out he has horrible arthritis. The vet said that dogs have such a high threshold for pain that if it were us we'd have started complaining 2 years ago. Poor boy. He'll be 11 in November, he's doing much better now with some medicine.
Berkley was keeping him company panting with him.
She also decided he might like to have his hair fixed. I think she is going to be a hair stylist like her Aunt Ray.

Little Gym

The girls had their last class at little gym. We are taking the summer off from any organized activities. We have don't have anything we have to do for 3 whole months- its going to be nice!

Here is E getting her medal. We have about a million of these now :-)Elliott got to go in the class with Berkley and I on the last day. Berkley enjoyed having "shissy" there to shake the bells with her.
Here is Berkley doing a flip over the bar- she had the biggest smile when she came back over. I think she's going to love gymnastics as much as E does. Berkley with her medal trying to catch some bubbles Doing her roll. She loves to try to do these on her own, she's getting very close

Little Swimmer

Swimming lessons went fabulously the last 2 weeks. Elliott went every afternoon for 45 minutes with a bunch of her playgroup pals. This picture is from the first day. The teacher told her to put her face in, that is how close she got. By the 3rd day she was going underwater willingly and now she is a full blown little fishy! I'm so glad I don't have to spend another entire summer with someone that refuses to get her face wet in the pool. Its exhausting. I took this video of her yesterday when we went down to the pool. It is really shallow so she is totally comfortable swimming on her own, notice how she uses her hand to pull herself across the bottom. Later I even talked her into going in the big pool.

This is Elliott when she was 11 months old. Maybe that is why she doesn't like water in her face....hmmmm.Here is Berkley yesterday in the same outfit. Here is Elliott at 14 months old for a comparison of the 2 girls. She seemed so much older than Berkley does now. I guess because she had been walking for 4 months at this point and climbed up in that chair all by herself!

I have a plan for some more comparison pics, I found of E at 14 months. As soon as I remember to put the getup on Berk I'll post them.

End of School Party

We've had a busy couple of weeks around here. I'm so behind on the blogging, I'm sure all 5 of you are anxiously awaiting some Pomeroy girl pictures ;-) So I have 3 posts today. I still have to get some pics of swimming lessons up here since today is the last day of that!

Our friends had an end of school party last Friday. The girls had so much fun. They had a pool, slip and slide, water balloons, lots of running around, popsicles, pizza, and ice cream sundaes. Quite a fun morning!

Here are the girls enjoying their popsicles. Berkley ate that entire thing!

The whole gang making thier ice cream sundaes
Berkley decided one spoon wasn't enough for her ice cream, she needed to have two going. Is she my kid or what?

Daddy's Birthday

Chris turned 31 on Tuesday. Here are a few pics from our little party. E still doesn't get why adults don't have big parties like kids do.

Elliott the Professional Flower Girl

E was in a wedding this weekend for our friends Brian and Brea. This was her 4th one, so she is quite the little pro. She got to wear her dress from last year in our friends Brian and Aprils wedding, so it was a good treat and she looked just as cute the second time around in it! She took her flower throwing quite seriously and was very precise in putting them down. I didn't get any pics of up or down the aisle but I'm betting the photographer got some good ones of her and the cute little ring bear.
Here's the only picture I got of her with Brea and Brian, she was so into them.Brea and Brian had a table for 2, Elliott went and pulled up a chair to sit with them.
They had an AWESOME spiral staircase that Brea got to come down, Elliott had fun going up and down it before the wedding. Little Cinderella climbing the stairs.
Outside after the weddingHere is a good shot of her hair and the flowers in it. It was beautiful!
Dancing with her prince in the gazebo How sweet is this???
She told me I had more pictures to take and started going crazy dancing by herself.
