Picture Taking Madness

I've been taking pictures for everyone's Christmas cards over the last week. We started Sunday with all 3 girls for my parents card. They were so sweet we actually had a bunch to choose from.My sister brought Rylee over on Tuesday and we took pictures of her. She was very cooperative for lots and lots of pictures. Today I tried to get some for our card.....
Didn't go so well. After many tries and lots of bribes and threats we ended up with nothing. Joke is on them though because they are going back tomorrow....Pretty sure our cards will be late this year. In all fairness to Elliott she was very cooperative at the beginning but then she fell down and scraped her ankle and morphed into a Supreme Drama Queen. Here is a cute one I got of her before it all went wrong for her. Berkley was never into it today- I think she doesn't feel good, she has pretty much been attached to Chris all day. So I suppose I will cut them a break. This time. Other fun this weekend. The girls spend lots of time playing mommy and baby. Although E will be the first to tell you that her baby is very hard to take care of and doesn't listen much.
E also wrote the sweetest little letter to Santa.
Dear Santa,
I love you. I hope you bring me a red DS.
I also like a racetrack and car.
I hope you have a good Christmas.
Love, Elliott
She had to go out and mail it last night. Here is Berkley at her sweetest.

Funny girls

Chris was talking to her last night before she went to sleep, she has the Thanksgiving feast today

Chris: "Be sure you remember all the details of your party tomorrow, I want to hear all about it"
Elliott: "I don't feel like putting all that information in the folders in my head"
Chris: "Where do you come up with this stuff?"
Elliott: "No really, I have folders in my head, they are in my brain"

They were in the car and Chris stopped at a stop sign
E:"I'm going to take a drink now dad"
Chris heard it but it didn't register that he should wait until she was done instead of taking off
E: "DAD! I like my orange juice IN the bottle not ON me, what's the matter? You can't hear me with those old ears?"

And a Berk story
Me: "Do you love mommy?"
B: "No"
Me: "Do you love daddy?"
B: "No"
Me: "Do you love sissy?"
B "No"
Me: "Do you love Grammy?"
B: "No"
Me: "Do you love anybody?"
B: "Papa!"

Berkley is talking so much now. A few of my favorite things she does right now are when you call her from across the house she'll yell "Coming!"
If you ask her a question that requires an answer besides yes or no she'll say "Ummm, uhhhh then answer" It is so darn cute!
She likes to pretend to be a baby, she came crawling out of the laundry room saying "waa waa bottle waa waa bottle"

Shopping and Baking

E has a Thanksgiving Feast at school tomorrow. Of course we volunteered dessert. Vegetables and potatoes are no fun to make! We found these cute little turkey cookies to make. E had a good time putting on (and eating) the candy corns.

We also went to the grocery store and the girls were thrilled to find out there were little kid shopping carts. E searches every new store to see if they have them. Of course B has to have one too.....luckily today I just needed a few things so it was no big deal to let them both be little mommy's. B even had pigtails today without ripping them out :-)

Our Weekend

Friday we went to Southlake to meet up with our old Ft Worth buddies. E went to an art class at a pottery place with the big kids and Berk and I did some shopping with the mommy's and little kids. We went to lunch too, it was a lot of fun to see our old friends, we miss them so much! That is about all I miss of Ft Worth though. I think I say a 100 times a day how much I love it here. Things like going for a long run and not running up and down my neighborhood streets like a rat in a maze because there are no sidewalks out of the neighborhood. All the trees, all the close shopping (which is going to be getting me in trouble quite soon I predict....). Shopping with my sister in law on Monday morning, having mom come over for a little bit on Friday night, boozing with my brother every Saturday, meeting my sister over at my moms on a Thursday for a quick park playdate. Hanging out with the Basshams, the Williams coming in town and being close enough to come hang out with us, seeing my highschool friends and their kids on a regular basis. The list goes on and on :-)

Here are the girls before we went to Southlake. E hamming it up.

Berk with her first half ponytail. I had to give her a sucker so she would forget about it. Who says you can't have a sucker at 8am? Trying to get a picture of the girls. Christmas cards are going to be a blast.
I asked them to hug. E grabbed B and B is working on pushing away. Our friend Wes was in town doing his reserve training in Ft Worth, he came to see us and Donnie and Becca came over too, here is E reading Hop on Pop to Rhett before they went to bed. She is really starting to read now!
Eating breakfast at in our fabulous barstools we just got. It was cuter when B was sitting in her own. Daddy and E watching the Cowboys. She actually sits on the couch with him and talks his ear off while they watch the game. Adorable.

Happy Princess/Sad Princess

Berkley noticed this picture of Elliott yesterday and agreed that she would like her own tutu pictures. I've been meaning to do this- and they are the exact same age. 19 months. I think B was a little more excited about the pics than E was, maybe because they were her idea.
Then we took bunches more, sitting on this wall was her idea. We were playing peek a boo

We went inside to have smarties for a reward. She is asking for more here
Then I got some close ups of her adorable little face

Could I actually have a willing model on my hands???
I am planning on printing these big on foamcore in her room and tying them with ribbons. I just have to figure out how many and how big. I am excited! Now I just have to get E to agree to a photoshoot.....and maybe get both of them to agree to one at the same time. Now I'm just getting greedy :-)

Cute Girls

3 posts in one day can you stand it?? I just finished going through all the pics. I took these a couple weeks ago, I just can't believe how big they both are getting. Time seems to be flying by! I can't believe its time to figure out our Christmas cards and get to work on those. Yikes!
E just looks like such a big kid now, It is so rare that she actually will give me a good genuine smile when I'm taking pictures of her now. I love this one. This one is a bit out of focus but I love her little attitude.

Pre Halloween Festivities

I still need to get good pics of the girls in their costumes. I know I'm cheating but I didn't have a chance to get any of Berk alone and none of them together so we'll try to get those this weekend and I'll put those up with trick or treating. Here are some of our October Halloween preparations though
The day of Halloween E always likes to have a ghost grilled cheese, here she is taking her lunch to the table Here they are at the pumpkin patch. They are so hard to take pics of together and the patch was muddy so we just grabbed a couple on our way out with their pumpkin they picked.
They got to feed animals all the sheep were crazy sticking their heads all the way through the fence, its hard to imagine they are that hungry with all the people there feeding them!

We were actually at the pumpkin patch for Rhett's first birthday. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a baby enjoy cake quite as much as he did. He was surrounded by paparazzi- just enjoying his big day
Here he is on the tractor ride with his cousin Parker, this was before he slid down and ended up wedged on the ground, poor baby!
E and B on the tractor ride
Berkley helping daddy carve the pumpkin, horrified by the top coming off

This is E's look of horror at the pumpkin top coming off when she was 2. This was E's first year to actually dig her hands in and scoop out some seedsHere they are with their pumpkinThis is just a pic I grabbed of Berk, she was watching her favorite show, Max and Ruby. I just thought she looked so stinking cute!

My Junie Jones

B's first 4 word sentence was last weekend to E saying "My Junie Jones Book" The other day she was trailing behind E demanding the Junie B Jones Books, so I quick grabbed the camera and got some of it. I have spent a good deal of my morning today getting all the pics on the computer, once I get them organized I'll have more of the little monsters happenings up :-)

Here is a video of Rylee while we were living at my parents house, I was supposed to give it to my sister a long time ago, sorry! Now I'll just have to figure out how to get it from my computer to hers. We were playing peek a boo, please ignore my wild hyena laugh.....it was just so fun :-)

We're Baaack

Finally finally finally have internet almost 2 weeks after moving in. It is quite exciting for me and I'm not sure how I've survived. Oh yes, by texting Chris 900 times a day asking him to tell me things like weather, where things are, and phone numbers. We've been crazy busy though setting up the house and everything. I will post lots of pictures and stories in the next couple days.
