The Princess Party

The much anticipated princess party finally took place last night.  Berkley has been SO excited for this day, probably since Elliott's birthday party in July. We had it at this adorable girly place in the McKinney Square.
Patton put on his fancy clothes for the occasion and was in a fantastic mood

The girls had millions of costumes to choose from
 Rylee looked so cute!
 B getting her hair done
This girl loves to have her nails done. It is daily that she is following me around asking me.
E bop getting her hair done. I was so excited she let them do her hair, we took her to princess parties at Berkley's age and she wouldn't let anyone do her hair.
Aunt Ray helping her check out the back

 Berkley and Papa
She says Rylee is her best friend

 Patton and Grammy
Berkley and her prince Owen. You can tell they were happy to pose for me.
This is our friend Donnie and Becca's little boy- we've all been friends since college. Donnie went to high school near Chris and Becca went to high school with me. I love the look on his face, he had just gotten there and was taking it all in. You can tell he was impressed ;-)
 The fashion show
E worked it! I was a little disappointed because they do these hilarious fashion shows at home with lots of hip shaking and attitude. I think it was a little too intimidating here for them.
 The whole group

Did anyone notice Berkley had 3 costume changes?

Around the house and Berkley's Birthday

We had a busy spring break!
We went to Ft Worth to our old playgroup (which I miss terribly). The girls went to gymnastics camp one day, we went to the mall with Aunt Amanda and Rylee (which prompted me to immediately buy a sit and stand stroller- I was at the end of my pitiful rope by the time we left).  We had a playgroup over for Berkley's Bday and went to Chuck E Cheese for dinner to celebrate. And we went to the park for a picnic. Quite a week! I don't have pics of most of it, but I do have about 20 to share ;-)

Berkley LOVES playing Dr. Patton is the perfect patient because he can't get away.
Checking his heart
 Looking in those ears
Her cheek got painted on gymnastics camp- but it was mostly worn off by the time she got home and got a picture of it.  Don't ask me why my kids always have dirty faces......
The chubbiest little member of the family
Can't see E's face painting too well, but you can see whatever chocolate she had. Maybe I should start carrying some wipes in my pocket! Don't ask me where her clothes are either. She has become famous for hanging out in her underwear. Oh to be 5 again!
Loving on some PMoney I love his little half grin
 Double kisses!
A rare picture of me and the boy
This is how he holds on to me to be sure I don't put him down while he's sleeping.  I love it!
 The big Day!
The girls were playing dance party in Elliott's room. Rudolph came on so they decided to make noses. They brought down one for Patton. I told them to wait until he woke up. "Miraculously" he woke up while I was fixing Berkley's hair and E just "happened" to be there when he did. So he ended up with his very own nose. Poor baby.
 Berkley with her nose
We made rainbow cupcakes for St Patricks Day/ Berkley's Bday. They didn't turn out quite as cute as I hoped.
Grammy got them theses shirts. So cute! P's said It's Me First St Patty's Day.

E with her horns- isn't she just so cute! I can't believe how big she has gotten
B opening gifts after Chuck E Cheese- the tradition is to go there for birthday dinner now. Yay.

B got a Princess Jasmine costume strait from Disney World. Can't get it in the stores, we happened to have a friend go a few weeks ago so she picked it up for me.

Our Princess is 3!

I can't believe our little girl is 3! It has gone by like a flash. Looking at pics from last year she was so little and baby looking- she hardly had any hair. Now she has hair past her shoulders.

A little about Berkley these days
  • She loves to dress up. She can go through 3-5 dresses in a morning.  She is not fully dressed up until she has the dress, the shoes and the crown. Then she can only be addressed as whatever princess she is at the time.
  • She loves carrying around purses. She puts all her mini princess dolls in a purse along with her lipsticks. A girl always has to be prepared.
  • She is obsessed with makeup.  I think we have at least 30 chapstick/lip glosses floating around our house.  She also has a loves eye shadow- which is NOT make up according to her. It is eye shadow.
  • She is very meticulous about her things. Everything goes in a certain spot and don't you DARE try to put it away someplace else.  (Except if she is in a hurry it is fine to hurl all her belongings in the walk in play closet and shut the door)
  • Did you know she can't see in the dark? I know! If I send her to her room to get clothes she'll say- can you turn on the light? Remember I can't see in the dark?
  • Everything has to match- and she has her own rules for what does- and they certainly aren't the same guidelines that mommy uses.
  • She can be the sweetest sweet and the naughtiest naughty.  When she is being sweet she will talk in a high pitched voice, when she is naughty she has a mean low husky voice.
  • She is like an armadillo, or porcupine. Her defense mechanism is to roll up into a ball on the floor. This happens if she hurts herself or gets in trouble.
  • She might be dainty, but she can defend herself.  She was blocking the top of the slide at the play area, a boy kicked her in the back to get her to go. Without missing a beat she turned around with an open hand and slapped his face.  Now I don't promote this kinda thing....*but way to go Berk!
  • If you ask her to do something and she doesn't want to she'll say "Well...."and give you a reason why she can't do it or she's always *Just* something. She's just watching a show or she's just coloring or she's just playing barbies. (After getting incredibly annoyed with her, I realized that she gets that straight from me) Another one she got from me is "Mom! I told you firteen times!" Usually my number is more like 86 ;-)
I could go on all day about Miss Thing. We love her to pieces, she makes life a lot more entertaining!

Birthday and Smiles

The whole family came over on Sunday to celebrate mom and dad's birthday's. Dad's was the 9th and Mom's was the 13th. We had a nice time stuffing ourselves on fajitas and ice cream cake. Here they are with all their grandbabies. Pretty soon they won't be able to hold them all!
I love how Berkley squeezed her eyes shut to blow out the candles.
Patton loves to look the exact opposite way that I am with the camera. He was laying on his playmat just grinning, if I didn't know better I would swear he was toying with me. He'd be looking to one side grinning, I'd get on that side, go to snap a picture and he'd turn his head the other way. I'd go to the other side and he'd turn the other way. Little stinker! Here he is in mid-turn- I think he looks like he knows exactly what he's doing!
Gotcha!
