Have you missed us?

Good gracious I have a lot of catching up to do. Elliott has been asking me for the last week when I'm going to update the blog.  We have been so busy around here! Pretty much every spare minute I've had on the computer has gone toward working on my NEW photography website.  I'm so excited! It's a lot more professional than the one I'm using now. I'm almost done putting it together, it goes "live" whatever that means hopefully this week.  That is, if its not too complicated to get onto my domain. I know all kinds of geeky computer things after getting this thing done.  It is awesome though and I can't wait until I can share it!

So here we go- we went to the lake with our neighbors - we had so much fun being out on their boat. Berkley did surprisingly well for someone that basically hates the water.  I bribed her with a barbie doll to get in with me.  First she had to get a contract ironed out about where it would be from (Target) and what kind it would be (a mermaid).  Lucky for her we ran out of time before I could force her to take a ride on the tube!

All the kids on the front of the boat. Such a cute sight from the water!

We borrowed a kids wake board from one of their friends at the lake- both the neighbor girls were able to get up! Elliott was excited to try it too- but got a little nervous way out behind the boat waiting to go. I understand- no matter how many times I have skied that is always the moment that I wonder what I've done.  I tried the wake board too- it was so fun!

So much fun on the tube- half of them were saying they wanted to go faster and the other half were saying slower. We just ignored them all and did what we wanted ;)
Taking a break for Popsicles.  I think I'd like to build a store on the lake- it is basically legalized robbery with what they charge for stuff.
P Money with his teething necklace on. He looks like a surfer dude- when you can see it underneath his chins.
Elliott showing off some of her crazy moves
I can never get enough of these legs. He looks so big with his shoes on!
I got a new bean bag for newborn pics- Patton was eager to try it out. He was showing off some of his modeling faces for me.
Then Elliott had to get involved- he wasn't very happy with her.
That's better- all about the baby!
The girls got the slip n slide out to test it out before the big birthday bash

P and Chris hanging out. I think he was petting Chris's face, but I distracted him trying to get a pic.
Patton loves popsicles.  This probably isn't the best picture to show that- I think he'd just finished screaming because someone had taken it from him, you can tell by the red rimmed eyes and desperate look.
This is my whole side of the family- plus my cousin from Michigan and her boyfriend. They are working at a camp in TX and they came to visit us. We had a lot of fun!
Strawberry shortcake nights always end up with a little of this
E is dangerous- she knows how to work the can now so you have to keep an eye on her!
Dr Berkley.  She has flown through an entire box of princess band aids within 3 days. She plays Dr in the closet and gives the babies shots- then they get band aids put on their eyes for some reason that is still unclear to me.
EBop turned 6 this past Wednesday!  She was so excited (Patton wasn't).  She even let Berkley unwrap the present that she had gotten her.
 Our Happy Birthday breakfast cupcake.

She got her very own Nook Color. We realize this is very spoiled. Very. In our defense- this kid reads ALL the time. In fact, it came loaded with a Junie B book and she read the whole thing that morning.  In addition to being able to read books on it, she can email (she updates Chris hourly on our whereabouts), she can play games and listen to music- which means she can leave her sticky fingers off our cell phones!  We showed the nook to her a few weeks ago at the mall to see what she thought and she has talked of little else ever since.  I called her our little walking talking nook commercial. It was so cute that she was so excited. We tried to throw her off the trail by telling her we weren't sure if she could get it and putting it in a huge box loaded down with old books so it was heavy.  She never lost hope though. She even got some gift cards from her birthday party to load up on books!
PJ looking like a little man
Eating his baby mum mum. He is DYING for table food. He watches me eat and starts mimicking the chewing motion.
Playing in the sprinklers at our neighbors house. We are on our 30th straight day of over 100 degree temps down here.  We are on our way to having the hottest summer in TX history- I think we have to get to 42 days or something close. I say lets do it.

Patton is now sporting a Mohawk. We think he looks super cool.
 So does the neighbors dog
I'm telling you I can't get enough of these legs.  He looks like the marshmellow man from Ghost busters.
Whew! If you made to the end you have a lot to look forward to next time I post- we had a fantastic party on Saturday for our favorite 6 year old!

Lots of Patton Little of the Girls

This is my happy man in the morning.  I think he gets at least 7000 kisses before breakfast.
He is trying to razz here. He loves to watch our mouths and try to copy us.
He took his first swim last week.  Doesn't he look so cool in his bathing suit? He liked swimming a bunch.  Notice anything that appeared in all of the first 3 pictures? Little rubber princesses that Berkley leaves everywhere.  Every little guy should be so lucky to have girl toys in all his pics.  I guess we shouldn't be surprised in a few years when he's carrying them around himself ;-)
Elliott and Rylee were laying out together. It was much cuter before they both decided they were done.
The girls put the "nerd" glasses on PJ. Berkley is forcing him to hold his head up and look at me. Such a good little assistant.
The girls set up a tea party for their stuffed animals. I wasn't sure why they used my dining room instead of their decked out tea party table.....
This piece of paper kept him entertained for at least 20 minutes the other night at dinner
Swimming on Saturday night with the family
Uncle J is so fun in the pool! Can't wait until he starts doing the washing machine on her like he used to do on me. (Dunking from side to side with barely a chance to breathe.)

E has been dying for a trampoline post. We got one a few weeks ago but in a shocking twist I hadn't taken any pictures on it yet. We have had so much fun with the neighbors out here with all the kids jumping. Chris was double bouncing E so high last night I HAD to run and get my camera. The pesky net got in my way- I want to try it again from inside the trampoline but not sure if I can keep the camera still enough. I love it!
E's flip. This was done on her own, thank goodness for the pesky net in this situation. She lands on her back- I"m sure someday soon she'll be able to land on her feet!

Lake Tahoe

We just got back from a wonderful 6 day vacation with our friends Scott and Emily in Lake Tahoe.  They bought a house out there and invited us to be their first guests! We were so excited to get to go- we used to go all the time when Chris first started working with Scott.  It is a wonderful place to go if you've never been. We were thrilled to leave behind the 100 degree heat and enjoy highs in the lower 80's and lows in the 40's.
We were also lucky enough that my mom agreed to come with us to help with the kids so we could go out at night and have an extra pair of hands- with my mom its like an extra 3 pairs of hands! She is a HUGE help. Thank you so much for coming with us mom!

Here is a view from a really cool window in the game room. The house had 4 levels and all the rooms had views of the lake and mountains. It was awesome!
Here is Elliott enjoying a nice soak in Auntie Em's master tub.  Berkley didn't want to. I had my turn next- I tried about 20 different ways to sit in there to get maximum jet coverage.
Practicing my sunflare on the patio close to sunset

 The kitchen was awesome
Chris worked in the mornings on Thurs and Friday so mom and I tried to get the kids out of the house. We took them to the park and the library on Thursday. Here's mom and Ebop.
Patton trying to eat my face
I am pretty sure this is my favorite picture from this trip.  (Only with the third kid would you prop them up on a park toy and step back for a cute shot....mom was pretty close though)
On Friday we took the kids to the beach.  I was completely unprepared for such a trip. I thought it was still pretty chilly- see above pictures with jackets. So we just wore our clothes and grabbed some sand toys for the girls to play.  It was pretty hot out- so we sat there ruining their fun telling them not to splash too much and let them play for about an hour then headed home.  They got to go to the library with Chris for 4th of July stories and arts & crafts. I took a run/walk with Emily- up the mountain. It was quite terrible. We ran to the library after the mountain hike and I caught a ride with Chris- she was a trooper and went 8 miles total (including the run up and down the mountain) I totaled 5. I'm still paying for it. My shins are shot.

P and I at the beach
Berk perched on a bucket. She refused to let me take pics of her this trip.
This was trying to catch her in the house. She ran in circles away from me.
We also took a gondola ride to the top of the mountain- it was neat.  When we were coming back down there was a steep part- E and I started saying "Weeee and Woooo" Berkley joined in. When we stopped she said "Why were we saying weee and wooo?"
Another Berkley thing from the trip. She was VERY concerned about the whereabouts of our car. She asked about it every time we left the house for the first 2 days.

Saturday we were more prepared for a beach trip. Mom stayed with P and Chris and I took the girls. E was the only one that braved the water. It was like ice cubes. See that snow on top of the mountains in the distance? Yeah. Cold.

The girls had fun making sand castles
Chris and E reading a bedtime story
P taking a bath in the laundry room sink. He wanted to know why he couldn't use the big tub again.....
Happily playing on the couch with "girlfriend"
 Sissy's smothering him
 Alert Alert. Get them away!
Scott and Emily after our night out at the Casino.  I was playing roulette- betting on 6 for E and 3 for B. For some reason I decided to focus on the 6. Yeah 3 hit four different times after that. I still can't get over it. Typical Berkley- teach me to not bet on her!
This is how we found the girls before we went to bed
4th of July we headed back home. My attempts to get pics of the kids in their cute clothes.
Berkley with scrunched eyes.
 There's a decent one!
 Berkley with her pirate face
Our fam before heading to the airport
 Scott and P hanging out
We got back to TX around 8- had dinner and met up with our neighbors for fireworks. It was a balmy 98 degrees. At 9:45. P was furious and had to strip off his sweaty clothes and watch them as "white trash baby" in his diaper- he enjoyed them though once he cooled down.
Berk and Charlie are good buddies
The girls on top of the car.
I have more pics on our phones- I will try to post them later. In case 30 pics isn't enough to capture our trip ;-)

I better get to bed- up late blogging because I"m still on west coast time. Here's to hoping the kids still are too......
