Tea Parties and Other Shennanigans

We've been trying to get used to being down one friend all week.  I think its actually harder for me to send E to school than to have her home.  She is my assistant/BFF during the day. She helps me so much with Patton and plays with Berkley, even being out and about is usually easier with her around. Now she's in school and Patton and I are having to drag ourselves from bed at 6:30 to get up and get going.  P's been sleeping through the night for a few weeks now- which officially makes him my favorite baby ever (sorry E).  He wakes up at 6:30 to eat, but I could usually get him back to sleep with me for another hour or so. We're all adjusting pretty well though and E is having a great time at school. So I guess I'll let her keep going ;)

The other day my sister dropped Rylee off while she went to the Dr. Less than two weeks until baby Eli is here!!!!

Berkley is working on turning Ry into a pretty princess just like her, Ry is a lot more interested in dressing up now, but she still isn't into the high heels- she gets mad when she slips and falls. Berkley INSISTS that she wear shoes.  First rule of being a princess is that you have a crown, dress and shoes at all times. I finally have convinced her that it is fine if Rylee wears slippers.  She has let it slide.....for now.

Here is an exchange between B and I - I have already proved to be so uneducated in the princess world.

Me: Come on we have to go get E from school and go to the store, you can wear that dress if you want
B: I need my wings on!
Me: We'll put them on when we get to the store, it will be hard to ride in your carseat with them.
B: But I need them
Me: I know, bring them to the car. Come on! We're late! Here's a crown and shoes lets go! (Trying to show that I know my stuff, surely we can't leave without a crown and shoes)
B: MOM! I'm a fairy!
Me: Ok. Come on. Here's a crown. Lets go!
B: MOM! Fairy's don't wear crowns!!!

She schooled me! Now I know.

Whew. Went off on a bit of a tangent there....Here are some tea party pics
They were having a great time and it probably lasted a good 10 minutes before there was an altercation. I believe it started with Rylee reaching for Berkley's tea cup and ended with Berkley in her room for time out.

Its all good though. Rylee found a few bears and continued the tea party without B.
Is she not the cutest? I think she looks so much like my sister does/did.
 Serving the pink bear
Berkley came back- and after a brief argument about getting the bear out of HER seat- they resumed playing.
Rylee's shoe came off when they came upstairs. Berk helped her get it back on.
 A little dancing

P woke up from his nap, since I had the camera upstairs why not grab a few pics?
I don't even know how many pics I have of this guys legs. They are the juiciest meat I have ever seen. I never want to forget what they look like!
 A little after bath photoshoot.

Seriously. Look at this bod. Am I lucky or what?

Berk had meet the teacher today at preschool.  I have been fine with it, thinking I wouldn't cry- its all good, I've done this whole preschool thing before. She's a year and a half older than E was when I shipped her off. Its only 9-12 no big deal. We're walking in- I am fighting back the tears....in fact I'm fighting back the tears now.  Anyway, she loved her teacher, loved her class and has been talking about a little girl that wore Cinderella shoes to class ever since we got home. She'll be just fine. I should be too, mom is coming to watch P so I can go to breakfast with my neighborhood girlfriends that are dropping their kids off too!

She wanted her ponytail out and I told her to let me take a pic of her with it real quick because she looked so darn cute.
I said come outside so I can get a cute picture of you for my wall. She demanded a ride. She loves to hold onto our leg and have us pull her along.
She was being a stinker, but I got one I pretty much love.
That was a lot of typing. I'm out.

First Grade

Elliott had her first day of school today.  She was so excited to get back to school and see all her friends.
I have a post about teeth after this so scroll through after this post :-)

Check out THIS POST to see how much my babies have grown over the last year.  Hard to believe the little one on the end wasn't even here yet!

This was her idea- my little photographer girl, she thought I should get one of her walking away waving. I love it. Makes me want to cry though.
I cannot believe how much she has grown up over the last year. She is so smart and thoughtful and kind.
Chris worked from home so he could come with us for the first day. I don't know why we always forget to take pictures of us with her.

After school we had neighborhood kids and our friends Madilyn and Emily Kate over for an Ice Cream party. It was so much fun!
EK and Madilyn- Owen, little Grace and Madison weren't into my picture taking.
Patton enjoyed some ice cream from Ms Rachel.

Teeth!

We have had some busy weeks with teeth around here. Patton has been cutting them like crazy and Elliott has had a loose one.  Poor baby has been waiting so long to lose her first tooth! She said she was the only one that never lost one last year in her class. I guess that's what happens when you are the youngest one!

We put her to bed and she came out to tell us she lost her first tooth! I had to run to grab the camera! Chris made fun of me.
After much oohhhing and ahhhhing about her beautiful little baby tooth Chris helped her wash her mouth out. And made fun of me for taking a picture.
 Look at that cute smile!
She got this A&M tooth pillow a couple months ago- she's been so excited to use it! Chris is still making fun of me.
I am going to skip the picture I took of him making fun of me because he looks like a goofball. Isn't that nice of me? Especially since he was making fun of me.

Here she is putting it under her pillow. She was hoping for $100.  We told her those were pretty high hopes. Chris is still making fun of me here too, I'm pretty sure ;)
We put her to bed and a few minutes later she asked if she could come out to call Grammy.  I didn't hear what they were talking about because Chris was making fun of me.
She went to bed, then I sat on the couch and shed a few tears about my big baby losing teeth and all the teeth my little baby has gotten recently.  Lucky for me Chris didn't take a picture, like he threatened to.

Here is Patton with his FIVE teeth!
I had to put this one too- because he just looks so adorable.
Here's the girl that officially has the most teeth in our house showing off those pearly whites! She is constantly asking me to wiggle her teeth to see if she has any loose ones.

ArOUnD ThE HoUsE

So I think I might be manic depressive without the depressive part. Or maybe that is coming. I have just been off the charts busy.  Mostly of my own making. After getting the photography website, blog, business related things all going I have not been able to stop! On a random Hobby Lobby trip last week I basically decided to start redecorating the house.  Although its mostly decorating for the first time in a lot of spots.  Only the collage wall of pictures got totally redone- I will post pics as soon as I print off 20ish pictures to fit all the frames.  My sister helped me with it- I love it! Oh our 3rd trip to Hobby Lobby for the week I stopped to look at some lamps, Elliott says "Mom, lets stick to the basics"  I think Chris pays her to keep watch over me!

Aside from all that, we are getting ready for back to school in a week!

Elliott and I took a trip to the water park, it was very fun! I have a funny/embarrassing story about it. So don't skip through grandpa! She loved the wave pool and the waterslides. I had so much fun too- we went up to the first set and the teenage kid asked us each which one we wanted- I asked which was the fastest- he pointed to the one in the middle. I said I'll take that one.  I notice as we're waiting on Elliott's slide that nobody is going on the pink one.  Hmmm. So I'm about to go- and the kid goes- "we don't get too many people coming up reserving the pink one on their first trip down." So I get my turn. I hop on and look- yeah, its one of those ones that basically goes strait down.  No worries- I love these things. I'm not scared. Its been so long since I've been to a water park that I sit down and go down. Sit down. Not lay down with my feet crossed in front of me arms crossing my chest. Sit like I'm going down a 3 foot slide at a playground. I sit. So I come flying down this 100 foot slide sitting on my bootie, water spraying up in my face, I get to the bottom and see the kid there, he's just looking at me. Like, what the H is this mom in her one piece bathing suit trying to do? Die? I can't see for at least 5 min after my trip down the slide because my contact is glued to the side of my eye.  Needless to say, I did it again later, but the correct way! E loved the wave pool and she did lots of water slides too- sad for me that she was only 47 inches so we didn't have free run of the whole park. But we sure will next summer- and now that I remember how to go down a waterslide. Its on!

So here is P hanging out in his swing. I just <3 him!
I took him out in the backyard last Sat because we were up at the crack of dawn and the sunrise looked so pretty. I love how its coming through the trees behind him. And he looks extra adorable with his rolls.

Playing upstairs with sisters. Lucky for me he's not moving yet- not even rolling onto his tummy, although he can immediately get off his tummy if you put him on it. We have so many toys with little pieces, its going to be a nightmare!
Princess Aurora joined us for some tea.  This kid spend so much time creating tea parties, I think she's going to be a professional party planner someday.

She was watching Dora and Patton was VERY interested, I sat him down with her. They looked so so cute sitting together.
I think he wasn't having very much fun anymore.
This dude can EAT.  He amazes me.  Elliott was never into baby food much- she would only eat it in the tub (maybe because at 4 months old I was trying to put her in the high chair that sat strait up. Rookie) I think around P's age I would just cut up little bites for her and she would eat table food. Mainly because she wanted to do it all herself. Berk was good about baby food, but I don't remember having to shovel it in her face at lightening speed and going through 2 jars at each meal. He'd eat more too. Sometimes I open a 3rd at dinner.  He's earned each of those rolls of his.
Elliott had a friend from school over yesterday to play. They had a great time together, its so cute to watch them interact. She's so excited to be a first grader and get back to school with all her friends!
