Christmas Part Three

Our usual family pic by the tree

This was Patton's favorite thing to do, pull out the lights from the plug.  I've never had a baby more interested in electrical sockets.  Good times.  Look for a post about him being shocked within the next few months.....
Finally coaxed him to come see what he got
The girls helped him unload his stockings.  He wondered why Santa didn't put anything to drink in his new cups.
He thought maybe he left it in the note
Berkley was overly excited about this little baby bottle
E got the keyboard she had been wishing for
Some mad libs in her stocking
P opening one of his family gifts
B loved her crazy hair doll from Elliott
 Daddy with his girls
E's big gift from us was a Razor go cart. We had it hidden in the garage- when she found it we saw our neighbor Owen riding around on his that Santa brought.
Look for some pics of me on this thing coming soon....it is super fun and I am under the weight limit for it.  Chris makes fun of me for riding it, but he's just jealous ;-)
After playing outside we came back in so Chris and I could open our gifts. Chris always has fun shopping when we have babies, he gets into their heads and figures out what they would see as a good gift. So Patton got me Cheerios, pacifiers and snack bars.
E got me workout shirts that I really needed! (in order to keep myself in gocart riding shape)
Berkley picked out a cute scarf and gloves
Patton sure loves taking pictures with people. Notice he's always happy in the ones of just him....I think he just doesn't like sharing the spotlight.

Grammy and Papa came over that afternoon to hangout and have dinner with us.  Grammy and the girls had a lot of fun playing grocery store together.
Papa wrote out the music for Elliott for Mary had a little lamb so she could get to practicing.
The fun of having a real tree is that it needs to come down right after Christmas because it is dead and droopy.  I dont' know that I ever blogged about how much fun putting the tree up was.  I'll save you the long story and say between that and this below I  might be going for artificial next year.

After we finally got the tree out of the stand (which included me holding the stand and getting dragged across the floor while Chris tried to pull it out).  We then tried to wrap it in the tree bag (that was approximately 1/4 the size of our tree).  Chris grabbed a mattress pad that was approximately 1/8 the size of the tree to wrap it in.  I finally grabbed one of our king size sheets.  Next we tried to pull it down the hall without scratching up our walls and the floor.

As you can see here - it didn't exactly fit through the walkway.
We had to smoosh the branches on either side and squish it through.  Then we were left with this. Along with a hallway full of needles.
There has got to be an easier way and I would like someone to tell me what it is!

Here's E passed out that night.
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!! Check out my photography blog on the side too- I posted our Fall pictures and my sister and brothers too!

Christmas Part Two

As Elliott said in her Guest Blogging (she's been pretty stressed out about how long it has taken me to finish my Christmas posting)- Christmas Eve we went to my parents house.  First we had Rylee over for our second annual decorating cookies for Santa mess.

Don't they look so cute in their aprons?!
 Decorating cookies is serious business.
Not serious for the girl that can't be serious though
Elliott loves writing a note to Santa on the plate each year

Next we made a bigger mess reindeer food

A big mess. I vote next year we make cookies for Santa at Aunt Amanda's house (especially since we'll have 2 more elves "helping")
Papa with his little boys.  Isn't he the cutest Papa ever?

 Christmas Bingo

I don't even care anymore that this is what my pictures look like.  I mean who wants 3 kids standing and smiling like angles? I much prefer the true to life pirate face and screaming!
PJ with his Grammy. They are good buddies
The craziness begins.  This period of time there was just paper flying and shrieks of happiness. Nobody really saw anything it was just a tornado of wonderful
E got some gift cards to Barnes and Noble that she was super excited to go spend. Girl loves to read just like mom and dad.

Oh look- a crying baby... That's different. (He's really usually pretty happy except when people try to hold him to take pictures)
Its hard to pick just one picture of these group shots of 5 kids 6 and under.  Next time we probably need a shot from behind them of the 8 adults calling names and dancing around.
I love how Baxter wants in on the action. I think we have some pictures of Berkley and Rylee doing the exact thing Rylee is doing with Patton.
No group shot is complete without Berkley's scrunched up pirate face
These are even better. Look at Berk- oh and look Patton is crying.
I think this is my Christmas card for next year.

After a long night of partying we headed home to get in bed and wait for Santa to come. The whole way home the girls asked questions about Santa Logistics- I offered to try to stay up and catch him, but after much discussion they agreed that I shouldn't because he might not stop at our house if someone was still awake.  The girls turned on the TV as soon as we got home to watch the Santa Tracker to get an ETA on his arrival.
I am so bad about getting pictures of the adults.  I have got to get better at that. I'll take lots tonight on NYE at my sisters house.
