The Candy Bandit

I've been texting pics to the family over the last week since Halloween- keeping them up to date on Patton shenanigans.  I decided this little series of pictures was too funny not to put all the pics I've taken together with some commentary.  First of all Halloween was THE best night of Patton's life.  He was amazing, nothing fazed him- all he cared about was filling his bucket all the way up.  Scary masks, smoke machines, strobe lights.  Didn't even slow him down.  He had one mission and that was Get The Candy.  He was so polite with his Thank you- even added in a confident "Happy Halloween" he was polite only carefully choosing one piece until the person told him he could choose more.  He lugged his bucket up and down steps with no complaints.  Usually he would go up with the girls, sometimes I would walk him up.  Toward the end he stuck his hand out in a stop motion and told me he didn't want me to go with him anymore.  At one point he did ask if we were almost done Trick or Treating- I told him we were and he yelled "NO! I'm not done! I want to fill my bucket all the way to the top"  Unfortunately for him he wasn't able to, unfortunately for Berk he was able to dump all her candy in his bucket while she was at school and has since claimed it as his own.

Lucky for us he can't unwrap the candy- so all he can do is lug it around.  He occasionally asks for a piece and as long as you tell him WHEN he can have the next piece he's OK with it.

Day One-
Thursday night he went to bed with his bucket right beside his bed.  Then carried it around all morning- Here he is pictured watching cartoons with his candy. I wanted to get a pic of him in Berkley's hat/hair from the night before and bribed him with a piece of candy.  Isn't he an adorable little girl? Looks a TON like Ebop.

 Day 2:
The girls were camping with Chris so it was just me, Patton and his candy all day.  I'd have to say it took a big hit that day.....I was hungry.
Day 3:
He's starting to realize that carrying the bucket everywhere he goes isn't normal and I probably have a plan for all these pictures I keep taking of him with it to embarrass him at a future date.
Day 4
He decides its best to try to disguise the candy so that maybe I will stop talking about how he keeps carrying it around.
All the Days
I wouldn't let him take his candy in the car with him, I figured it would get dumped out, or melted or something.  So he would leave it in the middle of the door of the laundry room so he could have it again as soon as he walked in the door.
Day 5
He found that his new method of candy transportation with the zip top could get the candy admitted into the car.
Day 6
Yet another Candy carrying case - I missed a picture of the block bucket.  His candy is seriously dwindling.  Its the only candy we have because Elliott took hers to camp and they gave it away to trick or treaters and then ate whatever was left- and as I said before he took Berkley's- he told me "I took all Berkley's candy- but don't take it out of my bucket- its MINE!" Logical argument.
Still Day 6
He played outside and thought a helmet was a much cooler way to travel with his candy than a pink basket. Sadly, it has spilled out several times and he can't figure out why........
We are going away for the weekend so my parents will have  him- he has already packed his candy to take to Grammy and Papa and Baxter's House- but realized he couldn't live without it- so he continues to carry it around.  Hopefully it will make it back into the suitcase and mom can continue to take pictures of the adventures of Patton's Candy.
