November in December

Two posts today- there is on about October too :-)
November was a busy month for us as well.  Chris and I went to Cabo San Lucas with Scott and Emily to celebrate their 10th anniversary- they also did a small ceremony since they didn't originally have a wedding.  It was an AMAZING time. It was just us, Scott and Emily and another couple. Such a fun group and it was a blast.

We've taken many trips with Scott and Emily over the years- I think I have a picture of these two working with their laptops on each one.  It seems as if they work so much....and they totally do- but they sure seem to talk and laugh a lot while they do it- I'm so thankful to Scott for hiring Chris all those many years ago and so glad that they continue to be such great friends.
The big day- I didn't take many pics because there was a photographer and I knew she had it covered. I was too busy having fun!

We had an awesome dinner out on the patio of the villa

This is part of the view of the patio from the house- we were high up so it looks like the infinity pool goes right into the water.

On our way out to dinner one night

We got to go on a sunset cruise our last night there- this was a really cool beach in between 2 huge mountains of rocks
From far away- I think Scott and I took about 30 pics of this cloud. They all look the same as amazing as the picture is (with no filter or editing I might add) it doesn't even do it justice.
We took the kids bowling.  I think it was Patton's first time- other than being a tiny baby.
Love these ramps they have now!

Pics like this are my favorite- when I catch how sweet they can be to each other.  Its good to remember when they are screaming and fighting- they really do love each other.

This is a lot of pics of this one thing. But it is so funny to me! Patton loves this Big Foot that Elliott got for Christmas several years ago.  Only he is terrified of it. So he has to be perched up high with the remote then he asks us to put him down on the floor.  He won't get back off the couch until we've moved him up onto the counter or put him away.
 SUCH a Patton face.

Chris took the girls on their Indian Princess Campout for the weekend so it was just P and I at home.  I thought he had sent me a bunch (probably 3- that is a bunch for him though) of pics of them there but since I have approximately 6.3 billion photos on my computer I'm having a hard time finding them right now.  It was Berkley's first year to get to go and she had a blast- Elliott always loves it.  Chris has a good time too- I'm glad they have such a fun group of Dads and girls.

P and I were supposed to do something super fun like the zoo or the aquarium.  We went to a birthday party that morning and I had to drag him out of it kicking and screaming like a crazed monkey - so the fun things had to get cancelled and he had to take a nice little nap.  When he woke up I took him to the park as a consolation prize.

He makes a million faces and I love them all
He loves to balance and walk on curbs and walls
Going down the slide..Look at that little face!

 Holding hands as we left
We decided to start working on potty training. It didn't stick for long this time- mostly because I wasn't staying on top of him. But he did get some skittles to help motivate him.  I posted it on FB- but just in case- soon after the skittles ran out he started not caring about getting to the potty. I was on my computer in the office when he came in- took off his "unders"- put on a pull-up - peed- took it off and put on a new one.  He is such a smart little stinker! He is also super impressed by the "pocket" that he has in his unders.

These are his "monster toes" that he asks Grammy to paint for him every time he is at her house.
Berkley loves getting Christmas decorations out. I have to be careful about mentioning that it is going to happen soon because once I say it she stays on top of me about making it happen.  Her favorite thing is the Nativity scene- she is in charge of it every year.  And she insisists that all the pieces need to be inside the stable.  Makes for a crowded scene.
P is obviously pretty put out about having to pull the car in the garage with Chris.
I got this mask for him on my cruse in October- I need to post some of those pics! Anyway- he wore it everywhere.
My little shopping buddy- these carts are the worst invention since the car carts that run into everything because they are impossible to steer.  We have finally moved past those.  ARound the 10th time that he insisted on getting one, then got out and walked 2 min into shopping, leaving me to push the bohemuth cart I started refusing to get them.  Now you have this fun thing- where he runs into your heels about 60 times- tips it over on occasion- walks slower than a snail- puts random stuff in it when I"m not looking - and gets tired of pushing it halfway through.  To name a few of my complaints.  But look at that happy smile.....
Berkley and her buddy Joey- they have so much fun playing together.

Don't miss my post below catching up on October!!

October in December

It's been busy busy around the Pomeroy house.  I just sat down to go through the pics from Christmas and realized I had never even finished the ones from October.

I was so glad I had taken these pics - because shortly after this we stopped the Chip n Dale portion of the bedtime/nap time routine.  Made me kinda sad to see- and it was only 2 months ago! Patton's bedtime routine evolved significantly all at his request.  It started when he was tiny- probably 1 1/2 that he started asking us to sing to him before bed.  Then after a weekend at my brother's when J didn't know the words to hickory dickory dock it turned into you tube videos of songs.  Because P came home from J's house saying he needed the elephant song.  Which led to 2 2 min videos of songs for bed.  That somehow snowballed into 2 5-7 min cartoons of Chip N Dale.  He would just crack up laughing and loved it.  So cute.  But the 15 min of videos in addition to the stories was just a little much for us twice a day and we finally got him off the videos.

Chris's dad celebrated his 80th birthday in October- we always go there for the weekend to celebrate!
 Paw Paw with the girls
 Sweet hugs
This guy is a maniac on the trampoline- he's been bouncing on it since before he could walk.  He holds his own with the big kids out there. Its one of his favorite things to go do.
We watched Eli one day- apparently I didn't take many pics other than this cute high five one.  They are becoming good buddies.  If history remains true we should only have about 2 more years of ridiculous fighting before they are BFFs.
We had our 3rd Annual Pumpkin carving with the neighbors.  The kids enjoyed the snack table.
All the parents hard at work

Berk found out another kindergarten girl lives in the neighborhood- they enjoy having play-dates.
Tattoo time.  The swarm of kids around Rachel and Lashawn had to be documented. I slowly backed myself away from that situation.
I wonder what P and Lucy are talking about? They are SO cute together.
Berk and her buddies decided to try to plant some pumpkin seeds.  We'll see.

For Halloween Elliott was Hermione from Harry Potter

Patton and Berk were Jake and Izzy from Jake and the Never land Pirates
 this is Berk's favorite pose
All the neighborhood kids at the potluck before trick or treating
P hit his first house and was a little timid at first

Elliott ran like this almost the whole night
I couldn't find the Halloween buckets- so P made do with Berkley's bucket
 He wasn't even scared
Love them- E was probably 3 houses away
