ANTM

Love this girl, love this pic, love the her birth mark on her head. So glad she is mine.

Capri and Dad playing the guitar.

This one is Dal's fav. I wonder why?:)

Capri's Aunt Patty made her the quilt she is laying on the the wash basin she is laying in is her great, great, great grandmas.  I think it 3 greats...maybe 2. Anywho still so neat.

It is a definite possibility that Capri is going to be a Daddy's Girl.

This one cracks me up. Strike a pose.

I wanted to get some newborn pictures of Capri so I called Dal's cousin Suzy, and she so sweetly offered to take them for us. She is quite a talented gal so I new she would deliver. She definitely did, they turned out great. With a photographer like Suzy and a model like Capri how could you go wrong! We took the pictures at my house though and I will tell you what, I was exhausted by the end. It was hard work trying to get Capri to stay alseep while getting the money shots:) We had the heat blaring to keep her naked body warm and I was definitely sweating by the end. 3 pooped and peed on blankets(if you have ever taken newborn pics you know what I mean), 2 hours of pics and 1 tired mom and probably photographer makes for great pics!

Capri Liesa Pruitt

    First family picture

 Anxiously awaiting

I am pretty sure this group right here was as excited as Dal and I

Katelyn doing my makeup. Didn't really help, I still looked scary in all the pics

 Capri Liesa Pruitt

Well it is true what they say about babies taking up all your time. I have had a week off of work and have finally been able to catch up on things a little bit.
We now have our sweet baby girl here with us and we are loving every minute of it. She is almost 3 months old which tells really how far behind I am on blogging. So Capri joined our family on March 22nd. The day started with Dal and I checking into the hospital at 5:00 AM and getting induced at 6:00 AM. It wasn't to long after that, that our family started to roll in. I had my sister doing my makeup while I laid in the hospital bed and we all just visited for a while. I wanted to wait a little bit before getting the epidural so I waited to page the nurses about it until I started to feel pretty uncomfortable. Sadly all the anesthesiologists were tied up on the other floors so they had to call one in early. An hour later I was dilated to a six and so ready for the epidural. After the epidural kicked in it was smooth sailing from that point.  What we thought was going to be a long day in labor ended up being short day in labor. By 9:45AM I was dilated to a 10 and ready to push. 10 minutes later Capri made her entrance at 10:00AM. 21 inches long and 7 pounds 3 ounces. Capri has been such a good baby from the get go and Dallas and I feel so blessed to be her parents. It's the best!

Dal is 25

Birthday Boy

Last B Day before baby arrives! So exciting!

Dal and Linds in some of the cute get ups at Blickenstaffs.
I informed Dal that he had a good chance of getting
lice after trying on all those hats. Call me Debbie Downer :)

Samee and Linds

I made Dal a Coconut Cream Cake for his treat this year,
it was to die for!

Dallas turned 25 on the 3rd of February. We celebrated by going to dinner at one of Dallas' favorite restaurants, Tucanos. He was in pure Heaven, along with Parker. They may have thought is was the greatest night of their lives. After dinner we walked around the River Woods and headed over to one of their shops, Blickenstaffs. It is the cutest toy store, with so many fun toys and candy that you don't see all the time. While we were on our way over there I went to step up on the curb and caught my foot. I am pretty sure they have unusually high curbs there. So I caught my foot and started going down. I almost caught my self multiple times until I finally fell flat on my face. I tripped over myself for so long though that I had time to set down my purse and brace myself so that instead of landing on my protruding belly I landed on my side. Capri isn't even here yet and I have already saved her life:) It is those motherly instincts kicking in. When I looked up after the fall I already had the birthday boy, my dad, mother in law and sister in law standing over me to help me up. It was the sweetest thing. That fall definitely gave us a good laugh for the night. After all of that we headed home for cake and gifts.
My gift this year to Dal was to get a hook up for his I Pod in his truck so we went over to Best Buy and had them hook it up for him. He has absolutely loved it. That is one thing about Dal is he loves music. Whether he is playing it on his guitar, singing in the shower or jamming in his truck he loves it. It makes me laugh when I go out and start his truck sometimes in the morning and about get my ears blown off because he had been listening to his music so loud the night before. I love Dal and his little perks. I hope he had a wonderful Birthday he totally deserves it. Love you Dal. P.S. You are half way to 30 :)

Brunch at the Little America

Parkers Bronco Tree

I love the peanuts!

We had a lovely December, it would have been just perfect with a little more snow. We started the month off with our annual SLC trip. We hit up the Festival of Trees, did a little shopping, and saw the stunning lights at Temple Square. It was great! This little trip is probably one of my favorite things we do with our family all year! Some other things that filled our December were decorating ginger bread houses at Dal's aunt Marys, our kick off to Christmas party at my parents where we watched the beloved Christmas Vacation and fondue on Christmas Eve at Grandma Glorias. The whole month was thoroughly enjoyable!

Sweet Child of Mine

Dal and I got to go our 20 week ultra sound a couple weeks ago. We went in pretty much at a loss as to whether is was a boy or a girl. It seemed like it was split down the middle with our families. Most of my fam thought girl and most of Dals thought boy. We would have been tickled with either. I think in the back of our minds we were wondering if he was going to tell us it was twins. But nope, just one. One beautiful, healthy baby Girl! We were both so happy with the good news and had so much fun announcing it to our families. Now our lives are already starting to fill up with all things little girl!

Halloween

Eddie, Dallas, David and Erkle aka. Parker

Mom as Mary Popppins and Katelyn as herself:)
It was so fun to have my fam at Mariettas party.

Dal and Samee Jo

Dal, Me and baby Capri!
This was such a fun costume.

We had a great Halloween this year as always, filled with lots of parties. We decided Halloween night we would invite our families up for a party for something different. We had lots and I emphasize LOTS of yummy food and hot cider. We had fire pit out in the drive way and had a great time just visiting and seeing all the cute kids and their costumes. We also enjoyed our costumes that Lindsey made for us. So... if you didn't already know you do now, we have bun in the oven and are so excited!

Lagoon

Dal's Dads work paid for all of their employees and their families to go to Lagoon this summer. I love to go to Lagoon once a summer and I especially love to go when it's free since it costs and arm and a leg to get into that park anymore. We had so much fun, we don't have little kids in the family so we were able to move pretty quick and hit all the wild rides. I don't know if any of you are like me but I don't want to be a chicken so I get on the rides like the rocket. Then as soon as they lower the safety vest I think oh four letter word and wonder why I do this to myself! I have also developed a weak stomach. Every day I see myself turning more and more into my mom:) Hopefully we can turn Lagoon Day into a tradition because we had so much fun with all of us! Then every year we can take pics of all the scary people we see and turn it into a book kinda like the one they have of all the Wal Mart people:)
