Harper's First Taste of Food

Harper had her first taste of food while we were in Searcy.  We have been battling constipation with her forever.  Between her Zantac and the rice we have to add to her bottles to keep her milk down it is a never ending problem.  We have been giving her pear juice but it doesn't seem to help very much.  Well Sarah happened to have some pear baby food that she had made Jack Henry and it was so smooth that we tried to give Harper some.  She LOVED IT!!!!!  She didn't spill a drop.  She sucked it right off the spoon and ate every bite.  It was so funny.  And it worked.  Later that night she was able to go but I had to help pull it out.  It was awful.  We have got to come up with something that will help better and keep her more regular.  Anyways, enjoy her first food pictures......

First bite.  She was excited and had know idea what was coming.

 Yum!!  That was good.

Can I have some more please?  What is this stuff?

 Opening wide for more.

I love this stuff Mom.  Can I please have more?  Not yet sweetie.  You will have to wait a little bit longer.

I broke out the Bumbo the other day.  Harper loves sitting up in our laps so I thought she would enjoy doing it on her own.  I'm not sure she knew what to think.  She was a little overwhelmed I think.  She looks so big in it.

"Hey Mom, This is a different view."

Christmas In Searcy

Sunday afternoon we left for several days in Searcy.  We did the Clay family Christmas on Sunday evening and had a great time.  We missed everyone that couldn't be there but hope to see everyone at the wedding next week=)

Harper waiting on her turn to open gifts.

Eden is enjoying everything she opened.

Eden got some new hats from Grandmother.  They are AWESOME!!!

Marilyn opening her gift from us, pictures and a Pandora charm.

 Aunt Dee and Harper.

Thank you Uncle Matt, Aunt Beth, and Brisco for the books.  Eden LOVES them!!!

Caroline and Mary Evelyn holding one of their new gifts.

Lydia and Eden doing the Just Dance for Kids.  They had a blast dancing around together.

They are both trying to shake their bottoms.  They were so funny to watch.

Matching pajamas.  They don't hardly pause long enough for a picture.

Harper getting some snooze time on Aunt Sarah's shoulder.

Eden playing with her Daddy's gag gift.  Its Flarp and it makes a tooting noise when you push on it.  She is obsessed with it.  It is so funny how much she likes playing with it.  She just giggles and giggles.

Uncle Craig with Eden and Lydia.  They are two of the three flower girls in the wedding.

The girls giving their Uncle Craig kisses.

We finally got Harper in his arms.  He was a little weary of her spitting up on him all the time.  She is a loose cannon;)

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning, Michael and I were up early and got ready and I made breakfast before Eden woke up.  We actually had to wake Eden up to get going so we would make it to church on time.

Santa left the girls a note and he ate the cookies and milk that were left for him.

 Santa's gifts for the girls.

This is Eden Christmas morning, fast asleep.

Looking a little rough, trying to process that it was Christmas morning and that Santa had come.

Eden checking out her loot and trying to wake up.  She's a little slow in the mornings like her daddy;)

A purple guitar.  I think it took Santa a while to find a purple guitar.

She loves it.  Can we say the next Taylor Swift?

Finally she jumped on her bike and took off.  It was so fun watching her and I had know idea she knew how to ride already.  She was a pro.

She was thrilled to get a Jake and the Neverland Pirates video.

Eden trying to fish out everything from her stocking.

For Harper's first Christmas, Santa left her some bottles in her stocking, some books, a sound machine lamb for her car seat (which has worked miracles already), and some other little toys.  She loved everything she got.  Can you see her big smile?

Christmas morning picture of the family.

 My parents with the girls.

Harper's first Christmas!!!  It was so special having her here with us and making us a family of four this year!!

Eden riding her scooter that she got from PawPaw and Nana.  She had been asking for one for forever.  She loves it.

Riding her new bike.  I will have to post video because she just took off on it like such a big girl.  I can't believe she is big enough to have a bike and ride it so well.  Where has my baby gone?
