Current Dog Owners

Most of you know that my sister, Lindsay, started nursing school at ASU in Jonesboro, AR and could not take her dog with her.  She could not find a single, nice place to live that allowed dogs over 20 lbs so we have acquired Harley for one year.  He is a great dog or we would never have said yes.  Eden loves him and calls him her "buddy" all the time.  I think Harley is having to get used to having a three year old all over him right now.  He will be thrilled when she goes to preschool=)  Poor thing.  He is a golden doodle and so smart and well behaved.  Eden is having to learn some boundaries with him.  So far she has: drug him (lying down) across the tiles in the kitchen by only his collar, sprayed water all over him in the bathroom while she was bathing, laid all over him, and many more things and he doesn't care at all.  He has been a great outside playmate for her in all this heat.  She will run and run in the backyard with him and they will both come in hot and thirsty.  Right now she also loves to feed him and get his food all by herself. This will be a great chore for her to continue.  Of course, we will have to see in a year how well she will let go of Harley. Hopefully that won't be so bad.

Eden giving Harley a big hug.  Can you see the love in her eyes?

Playing outside together.  Harley has a stick in his mouth that Eden threw for him and he loves to keep it and play keep away with her.  Kind of funny.

Running fast across the backyard.  They do this for the longest time.  Eden will come in so red faced, like her momma, when she's hot.

Playing with her bubble machine.  She loves this little purchase and I enjoy not having to blow bubbles forever=)

Smiling quickly before getting back to chasing and catching bubbles.

As I mentioned before, Lindsay moved and we miss her already.  It was so good having her close and being around to hang out with and even to watch Eden last minute when we needed her.  Eden is missing having her Aunt around to play with and taking her to do things together.  Lindsay and I also did a lot together and I will miss that too.  We know Lindsay is going to have a great time in Jonesboro and will be learning a ton but we miss her A LOT!

Drum Roll Please........

We have a name..........

Harper Ann Rainbolt

We finally decided on a name after having several names on our list for a long time. I think we both new it would be this but just couldn't commit to it yet. We decided on Harper because it has been one of my favorite names for a really long time. Ann is Michael's mom's middle name, just like Eden has my mom's middle name (Michelle). So they will both have their grandmother's middle name. I'm so glad to finally have a name and Eden loves it. She keeps telling us that the name is SO CUTE!!! I love hearing her say the name. It's just precious! We can't wait until we can hold Harper in our arms. I'm sure it will be here before we know it;)

Sweet, Sweet Eden

Just wanted to remember this:

Eden walked up to me randomly and said, "Mommy, you make my heart special." She can come up with the sweetest things sometimes to tell us. We love her so much.

New Nephew Has Arrived

Like I said in the previous post, Sarah's water broke around seven on the Fourth of July. We had a new nephew on the fifth. Jack Henry is so cute and we couldn't be happier for them all. Lydia is a very proud big sister. She is so cute running around and checking on him all the time. It's precious. So glad they are home and doing well.

Family of four now. Yay!!!

Eden couldn't wait to go up to the hospital and hold Jack Henry. She is going to be a great big sister. She loves her some babies=)

Fourth of July

On the Fourth of July, we started the day with a painting party=) My parents and sister came down early that morning and helped paint the nursery a turquoise mist color. I love the color and hope it will help mix up the nursery a little bit since we are using the same bedding and everything. The painting was done very quickly and then we played games all together. For dinner we grilled out and had a great dinner. It actually became overcast outside so we were able to eat outside on our patio furniture. It was wonderful! After dinner my dad, Lindsay, and I went and bought some fireworks for us to do with Eden. She loves watching fireworks, she's just not a fan of the noise. She holds her ears. It's kind of funny. All in all we had a great Fourth of July with family. That night we even got a call from Sarah, Michael's sister, that her water had broke so we were on stand by for all that exciting news.

Eden painting on the walls before it got completely covered up. She did not want to stop painting and is very protective of her little sisters room.

My dad and Michael busy at work.

Mom working on the trim. Lindsay was busy painting too but didn't want to be included in the picture;)

Mom and Eden getting ready for the fireworks.

We did lots of fireworks and we even did a lantern that was really cool that floated away really high. Our neighbors thought it was really neat. There were several people in our neighborhood that shot some really awesome huge fireworks that we really enjoyed watching that night.
