Ranger Game

We had the wonderful last-minute opportunity to go to the Ranger Game today... we were so excited! We had a little trouble getting to our assigned parking lot, what with the Cowboy Fans & Rangers Fans all out in force today. But, we were confused to find the Rangers fans LEAVING in droves as we were arriving. We thought that maybe they had a double header today or something, but then called my Dad to find out that the game had been moved up from 2:05 p.m to 12 Noon. WHAT??? I had never even thought to check for that scenario.

The man who scanned our tickets when we walked in to the stadium told us that they had been advertising the game time change "everywhere". Then we asked, "where is everywhere?" To which he replied, "You know, on KRLD and 105.3." Oh, that explains it then... why we seemed to be the ONLY ones who didn't get that memo. It's because I am the only person in the metroplex who doesn't listen to that station, which is evidently extremely popular with the stay-at-home Mommy set. (dripping with sarcasm, in case you didn't pick up on that.) Well, we tried to make the best of it- since we were supposed to watch the game from a luxury box. Yeah.

Anyway, we got up to the suite in time to see half an inning, the highlight was seeing Pudge up to bat. :)

View from inside the suite.

Reilly was so sweet and understanding when we tried to find him some cotton candy, but came up empty.

After the game ended, they offered to let everyone run the bases, so we waited for about 45 minutes so that Reilly would get to have that awesome opportunity. He thought it was pretty cool!

Reilly & Daddy stealing 3rd!!

Headed for Home... Look at that smile!

Stomping on Home Plate!!!

Though disappointing at first, we made the best of it and made some fun memories together. Hopefully next time, we'll get to see more than just 3 outs. :(

Avery is 10 Months Old!!!

Our sweet little strawberry girl is now into double digits... and she seems so ready for it! She lost a little weight this month, I'm guessing because she has never been so active! (But she did sprout another inch- I'm happy to report.) She is weighing in at 20 lbs 7 ounces and is 30 inches long.

To my overwhelming dismay, she will no longer permit me to put an enormous bow upon her head. She yanks them off immediately.

I tried to reason with her, but she just won't budge. ;) How did we get these pictures of her with a gigantic flower, you ask??? I had Joey hold onto her hands for 2 reasons... the first should be obvious, and the second- so she couldn't just walk away. That was a tough one. ;)

I like this one, she looks like one of those cherub fountains that spray water from their mouths. :)

Here are a few of her new tricks...

* She can say "more" and "all done" in sign language.
* She gives kisses... those precious open-mouth baby kisses. LOVE that.
* She gives high 5's
* Last night when Joey came into her room as I was rocking her, she sat up and said "DA DA DA". I don't know if we're going to count that as her first word or not... Since she has also been babbling "MA MA MA" when she crawls around looking for me.
* She loves bread. Teeny tiny pieces of bread. (She only has 2 teeth, you know.)
* She loves to play with big brother's laptop.
* While walking, she can pivot and turn in another direction.

We're having so much fun with her... especially Reilly. They adore each other, and I couldn't be happier about that! What blessings these precious children are!

The Only Thing Worth Stealing... is a Kiss

Crawling

Avery skipped over this step, but now she's got it covered. (She still prefers the walking, though... it's faster!)

Mimi's Little Ducks...

Mimi got a ducky towel for Reilly forever ago... and liked it so much that she got one for Avery before she was even born! She was so happy to get them together in their ducky towels after they had a bath at her house. So cute. ;)

Gymnastics

I enrolled Reilly in a Gymnastics class, since he wanted to try something new.. AND since he can't seem to keep from climbing, jumping, and flipping- it seemed like the perfect thing. He LOVES it!!! 30 minutes of instruction and then 30 minutes of free time, with a bounce house. He was blissful... and totally exhausted at bedtime. :)

The Dive Roll!

Waiting his turn to jump into the foam pit...

It was so much fun watching him, and brought back some good memories from my days in gymnastics! Check out this video...

Night Swim

We took the kids for a night swim, and it was great fun! Reilly was super excited to stay up late, and even got to see a few stars! It was more challenging to dive for his dive sticks in the dark, but he was totally up for it!

Happy Birthday Nana

This is a bit late, but we had a delicious meal at The Cheesecake Factory to celebrate Nana's birthday. Here are some of the pics...

Happy 9th Birthday, Ripley!!!

For the sweetest dog... who protects her family with a killer bark (from behind glass of course) and who lets babies pull on her ears without complaint.

We Love The Ripley Dog!!!
