Pictures of the Week

I had to take this picture because it made my heart melt. Kate is smiling at Isaac as I am trying to put her down for a nap. I was grateful to see her smiling - she's had a rough week for some reason. Dare I say colic in the evenings?

"Oh! It's so beetifuw!" Steve made pancakes for dinner one night when all I'd been able to to was hold our sweet crying Kate and try (unsuccessfully) to keep up on laundry. I love my guys!

Blogging Games - Pay it forward

I got this from my college roomie Marci. She and I met while oboe"ing" at USU. I probably (definitely?) owe my marriage to her since she is the one who kindof got us acquainted and then she would get all the details from Steve about his perspective of our dates and come tell me. He he he.

Here's how it works. I will send a gift sometime this year to the first three people to leave comments linking me to or telling me about their "pay it forward" post on their blog. You have to post to your blog like this and then leave me a comment.

Valentines and Project #2

Isaac and the snowman he made while at Grandma and Grandpa N's. It was so cute!
Mommy's little valentine, kindof content. She is definitely filling out.

Isaac enjoying the shade and valance in his room. Today we all slept in until 8:30! Hooray!

Making valentines for our family.

Projects...

I think my projects right now reflect my state of mind: striving for order and beauty, but too much to do and lots on the lists. "Let me 'splain. No, there is too much. Let me sum up." (Anyone else a fan of Princess Bride? Memorized it I did.)
  • I am trying to bring order to our rooms which seem to be accumulating more stuff, so we raised our bed up for more storage. Project # 1: bed ruffle (although not ruffled, just one pleat in the center at the end of the bed)
  • I am trying to help Isaac sleep longer in the mornings so I have time to exercise and shower before he gets up. Project #2: Blackout shade and a valance to hide it.
  • I want Kate's room to be a little more personalized for her, even though it is a fairly gender neutral green zoo animal room. Project# 3 Possibly a ruffle to go under her crib, a little sign/saying on her wall/, move Isaac's toys/special box to her room.
  • Improved and healthier post baby me. Project #4 but helped along by #2.

I would say I have a good start with all of these so I hope to be able to post pictures proving that I have done something. I just need to focus enough to finish one before moving on to the other.

Not Usually into YouTube...

I was very interested when I got onto the church's web page and found that the church has a channel on YouTube. Who knew? I was curious what was on there, so I popped on and found this excerpt from Elder Wirthlin's talk, "Come What May and Love It." I am trying so very hard to apply this right now, so a link to the main points of his talk is great. My sister and I were talking about his last point, the principle of compensation, since she wasn't able to be here for Kate's blessing and really wanted to.

Hope you like it...
