May your Holidays be DELIGHTFUL!!
I know it has been A LONG TIME since last I blogged. I have to admit I have missed it very much. It's so easy to let time get away from you if you let it! Speaking of time....CAN YOU BELIEVE CHRISTMAS IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!! I hope you all are ready, I'm getting there and this little bit of snow is helping it feel more like Christmas time. Even though my order for snow is a bit early, I specifically said on my order form, "NO snow till Christmas Eve!" I was just enjoying the bare roads:) Oh well! Anyways, the Rigby's just want to say MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR to any and all who read this!

"Catch That Baby"
Does anyone have a fully padded room I could stick Brooks in for awhile? This boy is constantly on the GO! There is absolutley no low gear for this little guy, it's full throttle....AT ALL TIMES. I'm used to telling our older kids to quit jumping on the furniture, get out of the cupboards, be nice to the cats and about a million other requests that kids learn to totally ignore. But it's pretty sad that I have to say those things to Brooks already! Who by the way is only 11 months old! He started walking at 9 months which wasn't a surprise, all our kids did. But the surprise was that he was running at 10 months and this kid never gives up! For those of you that have seen him lately, I promise we don't beat him:) He is covered in bruises from head to toe...literally! I feel like I need to put a little helmet and pads on him at the beginning of every day. His favorite thing to do is empty out all his diapers and scatter them throughout the house.

SLEDDING FUN
Brrr it's been cold outside these last few days. But we were able to sneak some sledding in before it got too cold!
Brooks wasn't real sure what to think. He kept tipping over in the sled and then he was too fluffy in his snow coat and snow pants to move.

Bryndi always chooses the safest places to go down!

Britton on the other hand looks for all the jumps!

And then Mom goes down behind him to see if maybe she can catch some air too! haha! AND Rowdy went down but he wouldn't let me have the camera to catch him in action! Next time!

Brooks liked eating the snow till his little mouth and nose got cold. We can't wait till it warms up a bit more so that we can go have some more fun!

Braylie had a blast, not much could slow her down!
Bradyn had a lot of fun too except for the cold toes at the end of all the fun!

"Load up kids, let's go find a deer!"
(I didn't take this pic)
I love this time of year. Not just because of the gorgeous colors and the amazing smells that come with fall and harvest, but because it's deer season!! We have always enjoyed going deer hunting, but now it's even better because the kids love going too! "Load up kids, let's go find a deer!" That's all we have to say and they are in the pickup with goodies in hand, all anxious to find a deer. We went out to our favorite little place and Rowdy went out for a walk while I stayed at the pickup with the kids. But the kids didn't mind, nor did I. They had a great time running and playing on the sands and I had a great time taking pics of them.
The kids loved running and jumping off the sands.

We love this picture because Bryndi jumped so high and it looks so funny!

While the kids and I were messing around, Rowdy was on hot pursuit of buck! He ended up shooting it and the kids were so excited to go see dad's deer. So we made our way out through the sagebrush and found Rowdy and his buck.

We're Back!!
I know it's been A LONG time since my last post! And a lot has been going on these last few months in the Rigby home. Summer has come and gone but not without leaving us with some fun times and great memories. We kept busy with baseball, soccer and 4H fun.
Britton's 3rd year playing baseball.
Bradyn's first year playing soccer...she loved it!
Bryndi's first year doing chickens at the fair. Her chicken's name is Cheech. She got grand prize in showmanship.
Oh and we can't forget the pig wrestling at the fair!
made up this totally awesome team called the Piggly Wiggly Gals! We had a lot of fun and ended up taking 3rd place. Everyone needs to wrestle a pig just to say you've done it!
Brooks is growing up fast, he's a big 6 months old now. He went to the doctor on Monday. He weighs 15.5 lbs and is 26.5 inches long. He is trying real hard to crawl and sit up now. It won't be too much longer!
Love the crazy hair do!

We even had a couple birthdays to celebrate last month. Braylie's birthday was September 1st and she turned 4 years old. She had a fun birthday with lots of fun stuff to play with! Now that she's 4 she's learning to do all kinds of fun things like write her name, learning colors, shapes and numbers. She'll be ready for school in no time!

Rowdy's birthday was on September 15th and he turned 34 years old...ya old man! I think Rowdy had a good birthday. He had the opportunity to spend his birthday with the kids while I went to work.

That's the other crazy thing in the Rigby house....I am a working woman now! I work part-time at the hospital as admitting clerk. It's a great job and works out well with Rowdy's work schedule so that he can be home with the kids when I need to go into work. It sure is hard to leave my family though. One thing I've learned for certain after taking this job is that I took being a stay-at-home-mom for granted! Getting out and interacting with adults is a great thing for all of us to do but I sure miss just being home with my family at all times! It's nice when we do have time together though because we try to make the best of it. This last weekend was such a nice weekend so we decided to go to Kilgore to see all the pretty fall colors. It is so beautiful out there right now. We took a few fun pics of the family. It's impossible to get everyone to look at the camera at the same time!

When we were done taking pics Rowdy decided to bugle and cow call just to see if any elk would answer. To our surprise a bull elk bugled right back. So we all sat down and let Rowdy call in hopes that we would be able to see some elk. It wasn't long and two cows and a calf elk came up about 20 yards from where we were sitting. The elk just stood there and stared at us trying to figure us out, so the kids had plenty of time to have a close up of these elk. Unfortunately the bull that was bugling never would let us see him. But the later it got a couple more bulls started bugling. The kids loved it. We walked down off the mountain and made a fire and roasted hot dogs. The whole time we were eating our hot dogs the elk were still bugling it was a great night. The kids are excited to do that again. Hopefully next time we will get a chance to see a bull!
Here we are waiting for the elk to come up the mountain.
