Lucy is THREE!

Happy Birthday to my Sweet Lucy! I love this girl so much! She is so fun and has such a great personality. She is my little spit-fire, that's for sure, but at the same time has the sweetest side to her.
She has been planning her birthday for six months now, and it was Chuck-E-Cheeses! She decided on a Ladybug cake and I am quite proud of how it turned out. :)
We had a great time and she was in heaven on her birthday. That's all that really counts, right?

M-I-C-K-E-Y - M-O-U-S-E!!

About a month ago Tom's brother Matt, graduated from Dental School in Las Vegas. Since we were going down to Vegas we decided to make a bigger trip out of it and take the girls to Disneyland! Josh and Johanna and their kids came, as well and Chris, Emily and Jake.
The beginning:
The drive down was great! We drove straight from Draper to St. George. Sophie slept the whole time and nobody had to go potty. Amazing!

We stayed with our friends, Brandon and Rebecca, while in Las Vegas. They had two 6 month old English Bull Dogs, Guss & Bebe. They were cute dogs and the girls really liked them. Even Sophie didn't mind their slobbery kisses.

At the Bass Pro Shops, the girls always love to see the animals and the aquarium.

Our first family photo...the fish bench totally makes the picture great!

Matt, Danielle, Austin, Easton, Sami and Ava. You made it!!!

Tom with his Dad and brothers (all but Danny).

Now off to California. My mother-in-law took Sophie back to Utah and we went to CA. I was a little nervous to leave Sophie, but Becky (mother-in-law) really wanted to take her and I figured she probably would have more fun with grandma than being hauled around in the stroller for two days. She is such a good baby and sleeps so good, so I agreed and let Sophie go.
We stopped at the beach because we couldn't check into our hotel yet. It was a beautiful day and it felt good to get our toes in the sand and water.

Swimming at the pool...

Disneyland! It was fun, we will definitely do it again someday. We ended up with over 500 pictures from our two days there. It was hard to choose. Chris usually ends up being our photographer, he loves taking pictures and takes really good ones. It was so fun traveling with Chris, Emily, and Jake. They are such great friends and we had an amazing time with them!

Ahhhh. Good Times. :)

Sophie's Blessing

We blessed Sophie a couple weeks ago. Tom gave a beautiful blessing, Sophie was so adorable and happy all day (but she usually is everyday), and it was so good to have our family there. I love days like these and I am so grateful for my family and think they are truly wonderful and feel so blessed to have them in my life.

Tonsillectomy X 2

So, unfortunately my girls have mine and Tom's bad tonsils. After a couple of years of infections and horrible bad breath the doctors finally said it was time. I decided to do them both on the same day. I figured we might as well have them both down for a couple weeks and just get it over with. Abby was so, so, so excited to have this surgery. She obviously didn't understand that it would hurt, all she focused on was the fact that she got to eat popsicles as much as she wanted for a couple of days.
Surprisingly, they did very well. The first five nights and mornings were not that great, but they got through it, and so did Tom and I. :)
Abby's favorite part of the surgery - The IV. She still talks about how cool it was.
Lucy's least favorite part of the surgery - The IV. She screamed for an hour before they finally took it out.

This is what they looked like for a good week...

Firsts

So we've had a few "firsts" at our home recently.
Abby lost her first tooth! She's been waiting for months for this tooth to fall out and it finally did. Tom pulled it out and she didn't even cry, her excitement out did her fear.

Lucy and her first attempts at telling a joke.
Lucy: Knock-knock
Mom: Who's there?
Lucy: Blue
Mom: Blue who?
Lucy: Chicken head!!! (Followed by lots of loud laughing and giggling)
I love it!

Sophie is smiling now! She'll be two months this week and she is sleeping through the night! She is still such a sweet and good baby. We absolutely love having her here!
Here are a few smiles that I caught on camera.

She has arrived!

Sophia Rebecca was born January 27 at 4:24 pm. So far, she has been an angel baby! She is so easy going as long as she has a full tummy. Abby and Lucy are adjusting well and love having their sister here. Lucy still won't call her Sophie, it's either yellow, blue, Lily, and the latest, purple. I don't know where she came up with this, but it's very cute. Here are some pics of our newest family member.

Projects...

So, we have now lived in our home for just over two years. This is the longest that we have lived in one place since we've been married, it has been nice not to move every year! When I think of our home, there are lots of things that come to mind, but the one word that really sticks out is PROJECTS! We have totally revamped this house! It has been fun, I love to take something and make it my own and I'm grateful that Tom does too. If it weren't for him and his handyman talents, hardly any of this would get done.
So, here are some before and after pics...

The girls' bedrooms. I only got this one shot of a before picture, but as you can tell plain white walls with no molding. Just very plain.

Abby & Lucy's room.

My sweet Mother-in-law made this crib bedding, quilt, and curtain for the baby. I love it and was so grateful to her for doing this. I think it turned out so cute!

The Kitchen:

Tom sanded all of the cabinets, stained them, and added all the knobs, handles and molding. It took about 6 months, but saved us a ton of money and it was so worth it!! You did an amazing job Tom!
