Summer is here!

I love comparing first and last day of school photos to see how my kids have changed. SUMMER IS HERE! We are excited to start the summer party at our house. We now have a 4th grader, 2nd grader, and *tear* kindergartner. My house is going to be very quiet during the day without my little buddy this fall. I am ready to soak up the summer and have days filled with fun times with the kids.

Happy Halloween!!

After my kids changed costumes choices 10 times, they finally settled on a pirate, Wonder Woman, and Luna from My Little Pony. We had a fun Halloween going to our ward's trunk-or-treat and then trick-or-treating with some great friends.

We have to show off the back of the costume since she has wings and everything!

The Color Run!

Our new family tradition started this year when we ran The Color Run together. It was a blast and my kids loved it!! My sister and her husband were able to run it with us too. Joseph was awesome and ran the whole thing. Marjory stayed with Addison and ran half of it. Ben was awesome and stayed with his crippled wife. I ran for as long as my knee would let me, which was like a whole 5 or 10 minutes, and then we walked the rest. We did walk really fast. It could have been running speed! Lots of knee pain, but it was worth it. We are training for the Hot Chocolate Run in February. The swag you get is worth the knee pain :)

After the Color Run, we drove up to Seattle and stayed with Marjory and Joseph. We went to the zoo and then drove home. It was a fun weekend. I was also able to visit the largest fabric store in the United States. I was giddy with excitement. My husband did not know what to do with me. That was a highlight of my weekend. I wish I had hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars to spend on fabric. I could have easily spent lots of money in there! My cart was full of fabric after looking at just 3 rows. All my favorite fabric designers in one place. I found out I can order online so that might be dangerous!

Fabric!!!

My parents built this house in Hillsboro, OR and I lived in it until I was four years old.

The zoo..
Brooklyn LOVED feeding the birds. She thought it was the greatest thing to do.

Addi fed the birds, but wasn't too sure about it.

Caemlyn wanted nothing to do with feeding the birds. She did try to be brave, but just liked to watch instead.
